The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering with a glass hob, electric oven, SolarDom microwave and a fridge. There is also a scullery with a dishwasher and washing machine.
The lounge area has a flat-screen TV with DStv. The lounge and dining area have stacker doors opening to a covered verandah with outdoor dining furniture and a built-in braai. The verandah provides a beautiful view of the golf course. Guests have access to secure on-site parking.
The lodge is walking distance from the stylish clubhouse, which houses facilities such as a restaurant, bar and pro-shop. The natural beauty and relaxed atmosphere of Silwerstrand add to the pleasure of jogging, cycling or walking on the estate.
Robertson and surrounds offer several great activities with more than 45 wine cellars and award-winning restaurants. Within the boundaries of Robertson there are many beer crafting facilities. Neighbouring towns like Bonnievale, McGregor, Ashton and Montagu are all within 30 minutes’ drive from Hook Shot Lodge.

It was a very nice accommodation option. Very safe and tidy. In the upper room on the left there are birds or bats nesting in the roof. It is not a problem during the day, but at night it is quite noisy which is a bit disturbing.
Modern, comfortable stay in a great setting. Big plus - the house is fitted with an inverter so you have full lights and Wi-Fi during load shedding. Our host was informative, attentive and very friendly. Thank you, Elda, we enjoyed our stay tremendously!

A playground for children can be set up on the premises, on the golf estate.
When the rules were explained we were treated as kids and illiterate which made us feel offended.
The furniture in the living room is meager and for the price of the lodge one is right to expect more. The dining room chairs also serve as the outside table's chairs, which are the same chairs that stand as easy chairs in the living room area. No guests, not even a friend of a child who wants to drop in quickly, or friends who come for a glass of wine are allowed. Not even if the people live inside the estate. It adjoins a primary school dormitory where rules are concerned. We were told by the hostess that the police would be called if we dared to break the rule. Unless you want to rent the house for purposes of being close to the golf course and everyone in your party is staying with you (which is difficult as it is only a 3 bedroom house), there is much better accommodation in the area for much better value for money. No way to prepare food at all or boil water if the power is out, except for a braai area. No wood is provided. Nespresso machine is available without a single coffee pod supplied. Not even for the first morning.

We had a very nice stay. All I would recommend is curtains at the sliding doors and maybe more comfortable furniture in the TV room.
The lodge was clean and neat had everything we wanted except an air-conditioner in the living room and a tumble drier.

Spacious, extremely clean and tidy. The large doors that open onto the porch create the ideal area for a nice visit. Well equipped with everything in perfect working order. The spotless bed linen and quality towels are a big plus. In addition, the luxurious Charlotte Rhys soap and shampoo range can make one think that you are somewhere in a five-star hotel. Elda received us kindly and gave us good advice to enjoy our time in Robertson.

Such a beautiful, modern house on a golf estate! Fully equipped and a stunning view over the golf course and mountains. Close to the most wine estates. What a pleasure it was staying there!
Our weekend at Hook Shot Lodge was fantastic. The beautiful house, view of the golf course and peaceful surroundings were more than enough to make us go back there again.
Our host, Elda, was exceptional with great knowledge about the area and surroundings. Lovely accommodation.
The unit is very well equipped and very tidy. We will go back again for sure.
We couldn't have asked for a better weekend getaway, except there was no double bed.

Hook Shot has a combustion oven in the house. The use of eco logs is compulsory and can be purchased at an additional cost per bag on arrival if guests want to use a combustion oven. One bag should be sufficient per night.
