When we arrived it was foggy and cold, but in the restaurant it was pleasantly warm and we had a good time and also enjoyed the beer they brew here.
The location is fantastic. The units are clean and comfortable and very safe and on sale their chilly and mango beer is a winner.
There are only two places to stay on the Long Tom Pass, a beautiful mountain pass in Mpumalanga. Hops Hollow is a craft brewery that is not raucous but perfectly situated for mountain drives and walks. Good food and great heating for those chilly mountain nights.
Warmly received. Good overnight accommodation and reasonable meals, breakfast was delicious. Interesting beers and nice surroundings. Will definitely stay there again.
We really enjoyed our stay at Hops Hollow. The location is ideal and picturesque. The room was well furnished and very tidy. The micro brewery is fantastic and we really enjoyed the beer tasting and the food was very tasty. Totally worth it. Highly recommended.
Very friendly service in Afrikaans, from the owner and his family. Tasty home brewed beer. The units further away from the main building offer more privacy.
On arrival no one received us or made us feel welcome. The attitude of the staff was extremely poor. Wait a long time at the bar to be helped and we are already people in the place! Weak! Will not go back again.

We enjoyed our time at Hops Hollow immensely. We had a pretty room with a large bed, underfloor heating and an en-suite bathroom, which was also heated. It was a lovely winter getaway. Breakfast was delicious and the service warm and friendly. The beer tasting was a great experience! All that worried us was that it is so close to the highway, but we had a restful sleep and did not hear the (little) traffic on the road. We are definitely planning to visit again.
