112 guests' feedbackHorizon Stables Guesthouse is perfectly situated for an overnight stay. It's very well furnished, comfortable bed, and very beautiful. We were received very kindly. It's safe and quiet.

My favorite place to spend the night in Bloem!
We were very satisfied with our stay.
Peaceful, beautiful, clean, and spacious accommodation!
This place is fantastic. Close to main road but still you don't hear traffic. Unit is so nice and spacious. And bed sleeps so well. Really excellent.
My mother and I had a great stay at Horizon Stables. Everything and more was available. We had our Australian shepherd puppy with us and there was more than enough room and grass for her to stretch her legs. Thank you very much for a nice stay with you! We will see you again.
Very pleasant with large rooms and very neat and clean. Will definitely stay there again!
We had a wonderful stay. Slept well too.
Water pressure was very poor. I suspect the faucet filters are blocked. The remote control needs to be replaced in room 2. Otherwise good.
Stay nice. Made our stay a day earlier than booked. First class.
Slept very comfortably, and nice and close to N1 when you have to get back on the road.
Nice close to the highway. Room was clean. Restaurants are nearby. TV didn't work but only tried to use it late at night and we were out early again.

Lovely bed. WiFi could have been better. Would have loved to have DSTV on TV. Also neat, friendly and comfortable.
Good, neat accommodation.
Our stay was pleasant.
Yes, comfortable rooms and nice facilities.
Was convenient and comfortable. Enjoyed it.
Horizon Stables offers a range of nice sized rooms with air conditioning, on the edge of town and close to the main feeder routes. A few hiccups notwithstanding, I would still recommend it as an affordable option in a quiet environment.
Not a 4 star place to stay at all. The rooms definitely need attention. There is not enough hot water for more than one person to bathe/shower.
The best overnight accommodation in Bloemfontein. Booking and feedback was quick. Accommodation was clean, tidy and extremely comfortable.
Had an absolutely amazing time. The hosts were amazing and very welcoming - they really went the extra mile. The room was lovely, and possibly the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. Very happy with my stay, will definitely stay there again.
I was pleasantly surprised to see how nice and neat and clean Horizon Stables Guesthouse was. This is a beautiful property with a country feel, but right off the N1. I would definitely stay there again. The rooms were well equipped and beautifully clean with nice linen, and there is space to relax outside your room on the covered patio. Secure parking.
We had a great stay at Horizon Stables Guesthouse. Plenty of grass and running space for our dogs to stretch their legs and the rooms have everything and more needed! Will stay here again.
Friendly host, clean and comfortable rooms.
Nicely located in a quiet area close to everything important in Bloemfontein.
Lovely and peaceful stay. It was a bonus that our door could open directly onto a lawn so our dogs could go out as needed.
Love everything about Horizon Stables, will definitely be back.
I traveled alone and stayed at Horizon Stables Guest House and can really recommend them.
Nice spacious rooms - clean and tidy. Clean towels every day.

On arrival our rooms were not ready. One room's TV didn't work at all. There was no milk in the fridge for coffee and we sat outside for almost 2 hours waiting for our rooms to be cleaned. The cleaner said that she had to do everything alone and had no help.
The room was very nice, we had guests staying in rooms 4 and 5 which were very loud with kids running up and down the passage. If not for this I would have awarded 5 stars.
Convenient place but it was expensive for what it provided, namely a bed and shower, and a place to have a prepared meal.
We had to call 7 times to get someone to open the gate for us. There was no one to receive us. The shower had poor pressure and there was no hot water. There was only one pillow per person and the beds were made. The fridge was off when we arrived. There were only 2 biscuits for 4 people. The TV had limited channels and there were no sports channels. We are not sure where the 4 stars come from as we did not experience it that way.
1. The manager/owner does not value customer service, even though it costs more than R1,500.00 per night for the Honeymoon suite. 2. The bath tub in the Honeymoon suite leaks and you cannot fill it more than 30%. 3. There is limited hot water in the Honeymoon suite. 4. The unit is clean but looks unfinished/still under maintenance, which is terrible for a Honeymoon suite, especially at that price. 5. We checked out a day earlier to book into another place because of the bad experience. 6. I will not recommend this place to anyone.
Not what I expected, not a 4-star Guesthouse. Very basic.
The overall experience was good.
Lovely ambiance, friendly host. I am obsessed with the decor. Just a pity about the hordes of mosquitoes that kept us from sleeping.
Great facilities.
Certainly one of the better overnight stays we have come across.
The staff and owner were friendly and helpful. The beds were super comfortable and light ready for loadshedding. They even had a baby chair waiting at our breakfast table for our daughter. The food was delicious and helpings generous. I'd highly recommend this B&B, can't fault it.
Most delicious facilities, clean, tidy. Breakfast that is heavenly.
Rooms were clean and tidy and conveniently close to the N1 for overnight stays.
We did not use the breakfast option, but the stay was 10/10. We had a later arrival and were still warmly welcomed. The rooms were nice and clean and everything worked as it should. I will definitely use them again in the future.
Owner is hospitable. Breakfast is an asset and very tasty.
Als was nice neat and clean with spacious room for perfect comfortable overnight stop. Breakfast was delicious.
We were kindly received. No problem with our pet moving around on site. Rooms neat and clean. Nice atmosphere - gives a farm feel. Just off main road. Will definitely stay again.
The service was great - very friendly. The fact that it is so neat even though it is pet friendly struck me. Conveniently close to the highway, but you don't hear it at all.
Thank you very much for an unforgettable weekend, your service is great and breakfast was delicious. We had a wonderful rest and will definitely see you again.
Horizon Stables is the ideal place to sleep, conveniently close to the N1 and there is everything needed to ensure a pleasant stay. The location creates a farm atmosphere that is nice and quiet. The rooms are well equipped and the air conditioning helped against the winter cold. Extra pillows and dishcloths will help make the stay even more comfortable. I can recommend Horizon Stables and would love to stay there again in the future.
Very good experience.
Hospitable, friendly!
Plugs in sinks and bathtubs don't seal, so water runs out all the time. Temperature of the water in the shower does not stay as hot as set.
Can attend to regular inspections to ensure everything is working well.
Right place for a quick sleepover after a long day's travel. Beautiful surroundings and conveniently located close to the highway.
The decor is beautiful, and the air conditioning in the room was a plus as it was bitterly cold!
Slept so wonderfully warm. Nice clean. Allow towels to dry properly. Think one of ours was still wet when stored in the cupboard. But otherwise it was great.
Reason I chose it. Beautiful. Could be used as a destination for wedding or party.
Mosquitoes have been a problem and I feel that more can be done to control them. No warning to bring antidote and no antidote in the room. Wifi available but it didn't work.
Johan and his team pretty much spoiled us with good hospitality. Rooms are spacious and tidy. The breakfast was delicious and the function we had was well prepared. We definitely recommend the place. Thanks again. Quiet and peaceful and yet not far from the shops.
Had a great stay. Will definitely use them again. Rooms are very neat and clean and they are nice and close to N1 for the traveler passing by. The host and hostess were very professional and helpful.
Dinner at Longhorn which is very close is a must.
This is a good place if you have fury friends to stay, however the rooms are a little outdated. Bathroom shower is super small and uncomfortable to shower in. Had no dishtowels to use for dishes. One pillow per person is not enough, however comfortable beds. The garden is perfect and we had a good braai during our stay.
It is a nice place but what you get and pay for, I thought was expensive.
Nice owner, delicious dinner provided.
Nicely received. Something cold in the fridge. What more are you looking for a long way. Clean and tidy.
Breakfast was delicious, tranquility neat. Johan was very friendly and helpful. Truly a lovely place to stay outside the city noise.
Owners friendly and helpful. Very nice stay.
When we took the dirt path, I was skeptical, but what a surprise. Very nice accommodation and clean place to stay. Furthermore, the premises are animal-friendly, which you don't always find. I will definitely spend the night there again and it is also nice to be able to relax with an animal child. Thank you very much for the unforgettable stay and hospitality.
Pet friendly, close to eateries and the main road. Friendly service.
Good for a quick stop.
Very special treatment.
We chose a dog friendly facility as we had our Great Dane with us, and it was ideal. The comfortable rooms surrounded a large grassed area with flowers and shrubs, which was very pleasant.
We moved from Lephalale to George and spent the night there with our child and dog children. Very friendly staff who went out of their way to make us feel at home after the long journey.
The shower looks awfully fancy on the website, but is very nice. Horizon Stables is neat and the building beautiful, but I would not stay overnight there again.
It's really dog friendly.
My stay was very nice and I would recommend it to anyone else. The reception was friendly and the room was very clean and tidy.
Everything was very good as usual. I often stay there when I'm on business.
Definitely recommended.
Friendly reception. Neat, comfortable accommodation. Will definitely stay there again.
Easily accessible from N1. Modern and wonderfully relaxing.
Would love it if the hairdryer plug was a three pin plug with a longer cable. Could not sit at the dressing table to dry hair as the cable was too short and the two pin plug kept coming out of the wall. Rugs need non slip bottoms. Very pretty room and nice and warm despite a very cold evening.
Everything was excellent. Will definitely make use of the place again.
Beautiful, neat place. Affordable and safe!
Beautiful surroundings and well equipped rooms. Friendly reception, even though it was very late at night. Everything was nice and clean!
My husband and I, together with another couple stayed here on our way back from Augrabies. The attention to detail in the rooms made it very special. Good quality matres and bedding. We had friendly service and the place is centrally located. Will definitely recommend.
The people were all very friendly - there is room for the dogs too and my two little ones enjoyed it very much, very spacious rooms and clean.
Neat and spacious accommodation. Our puppy was also welcome and was able to move around after a long journey.
Horizon Stables is a little outside Langenhovenpark in Bloemfontein. The decor and accommodation are picturesque and stylish. Everything you're looking for except the dirt road to get there. If you own a bakkie - great, but with a small car it is challenging. I would definitely recommend the guest house, they just need to tar the road.
Horizons Stables Guesthouse was a clean and tidy overnight accommodation option. Owner very friendly and helpful.
Baie gelukkig. Gereis met 3 worshonde. Wat 'n plesier! Groot, netjies gronde. Lieflike groot moderne kamers met lugversorging en klein kombuisie. As jy reis met diere is hierdie jou beste opsie. Tevrede en gelukkig. Sal beslis weer gebruik.
Would sleep there again, nice bath and shower, and clean towels every day.
Beautiful place, great service! Value for money!
Good, neat accommodation. Host very friendly and helpful. Conveniently close to highway and restaurants. Would definitely recommend it.
This was an unexpected gem. It is a guest house with special character. The unit is neat and modern inside without affecting the charm of the guest house. We enjoyed the overnight stay incredibly and can recommend the guest house. The location is perfect as it is located so close to the N1 highway and shopping centre.
We were received very kindly. The guesthouse is very nice and clean. We inquired about places to eat and "the Copper & Coal" was recommended - a must when visiting Bloem.
Definitely worth every penny. Value for money and friendly service. Beautiful place and very neat.
We had the family room which was very spacious and they also accommodated our little dog which we are very grateful for.
Lovely stay, friendly manager. Will stay there again,
Was surprised at how beautiful it is. Would recommend it for sure.
Looked for overnight accommodation in Bloemfontein, which offers a little more than a normal guesthouse. Horizon Stables is a hidden gem in Bloemfontein that we will definitely recommend.
We were upgraded to the "Honeymoon suite" which was very spacious, well equipped and tastefully furnished. On request is a hairdryer. Didn't have breakfast, because we had to drive again early! Will definitely use them again!
The place is conveniently close to the N1. The host welcomed us and showed us to our room. There was space for 5 (3 children). The place was clean and has everything that you need. Only problem was that it only had down pillows and our entire family is allergic to feathers. We made other plans because we only realised it later.
See stars.
The rooms themselves are neat but the entrance to Horozon Stables does not create a good impression - long grass and weeds. It looks somewhat dilapidated.
I liked the fact that Horizon Stables Guesthouse is located very close to main road. Impressed with beautiful gardens, finish and furniture and atmosphere. Rooms comfortable down to the finest detail. Restaurants conveniently close by. Breakfast at the guest house is a bit expensive.
It was really clean and tidy and good service.
See star rating.
