51 guests' feedbackVery nice stay. We only had a problem with hot water. A cold shower is not nice at all. Other than that, we can't complain, it was very nice.
It was osm. We could feed the goats and warthogs, and it was so nice to get up in the morning and hear nature. There were zebras and we could drive through the park and look at the wildlife.

The Hout Huisie was very clean and tidy when we arrived there. The owner also responded quickly and kindly to a single problem we had. Accommodation in the Hout Huisie offers good value for money. However, Marlothpark is a huge disappointment. (Please see recent concerns and comments in the media and social media about the condition of the grazing and food for the wildlife in the park.) The dirt roads in the park are very poorly maintained, especially the route along the Crocodile River.
Marlothpark remains a lovely resting place.

This house is beautiful and it feels like you are deep in the woods when you sit on the porch. The house is tidy with everything you need for a nice stay in the woods.

Very comfortable, quiet and peaceful and a real oasis where you can properly charge your batteries. Various animals regularly came to drink water. Would recommend the Hout Huisie very highly and we will certainly go back again.

It's incredibly nice with the wildlife that comes to visit the house like this, the children could look at the wildlife on the deck and still stay safe. We had hours of enjoyment in the evening with the night owl that came to hang out in the tree, just a stone's throw from the porch.
Enjoyed our stay and all the animals!
During our stay last year we were impressed with the privacy and relaxed atmosphere. This time, however, it was not. I cannot blame the owner for that though. The main problem we encountered was another house is being built extremely close (less than 6 m away), this was noisy and the privacy is all gone. There is a warthog living underneath the house, sounds all great. But it is very noisy, particularly at night, there is also a warthog smell hanging around the house, this sounds charming but eventually, it gets too much. We eventually checked out 2 days early. The 2 double beds are very hard, and did not work with my back, I do have a difficult back though. The second room's bed has been fixed after a previous break. The fix however leaves the bed unstable and wonky. As with most houses in Marloth Park, the little black ants can be problematic, this time it was partially bad. As I did mention before, the problems I experienced cannot be labeled the owner's fault.

We as a family really enjoyed it, what a beautiful place and the help if we needed was there we didn't have to wait the people are really amazing and they where always standing by if we needed them and the house is absolutely breath taking. Thanks for an amazing stay.

Everything was perfect, the Security is alert. The house is perfectly situated in a place where you get up close and personal with wildlife.

Houhuisie is located in a nice quiet area of Marloth Park. We made good use of the veranda with braai and plunge pool and really enjoyed it! It was a great treat for us city lads, will have to come back soon!
Everything was clean and well-equipped. The few problems I mentioned was already in the process of being addressed. The only real problem we had was the runoff water bump being too high for a low car to cross. I were promised this will be addressed. Overall it was a very pleasant and relaxing location.

Why did we choose if, when there were lots of other options? (We booked during strict lockdown). A: Because owner offers a discount if you book for longer than 15 days. We recommend the place as a cozy little place for a break-away. Will go back. Beautiful, peaceful.
Upon arrival, the interior of the room was incredibly warm. After a few minutes and after opening all the doors and windows, we still felt the heat and upon closer investigation as to why the kitchen was so hot, we discovered that the two plate stove oven was on which required us to immediately turn it off. to sit The presumption is that it was never put down. Had we not had the reservation, the place could have burned down.
My 19 year old daughter was very frustrated with the fact that there was no WiFi, and she finally gave up and started having fun with all of us. It is a nice country home.
The Hout Huisie is in Marloth Park which is on the bank of the crocodile river overlooking the Kruger National Park. The house is spacious and well kitted out suitable for nature lovers. The park has a fair amount of game that wanders around the park and through the property.
Peaceful, nature is always food for the soul, nice visit thank you.

I would recommend the Hout Huisie to people who love the dark. The people are so friendly and Marloth Park is so clean and tidy.
Our stay was ruined by builders behind us disturbing the peace and quite on the 4th day without notification. House needs a bigger fridge - far too small for even 2 people, let alone 4/6. And a suggestion to put ceiling fans in the rooms and lounge, so that the aircons don't have to be on 24/7 to save electricity.
It's a very neat place. Nice clean. Very private.
We loved being surrounded by the beautiful indigenous trees in the garden, and the daily animal visitors. But what concerned us was that there were a whole lot of unnecessary objects in the garden like a toilet seat, and a stop sign etc things that detracted from the beauty of the place. I also did not like the pond with stagnant water. I don't think it is very good for the animals and the birds, and again it does not fit in with the natural beauty of the Marloth Park. Other than that Hout Huisie is a well located holiday cottage with a very welcome plunge pool and airconditioners, much needed during the heatwave we experienced while there.
