All you need, hairdryer, beach umbrella, etc. Just take your clothes, swimming towels, food and drinks. Will go back again anytime. The man who cleaned our gas grill every morning was friendly, always had a smile on his face.

No fireplace though as advertised, it looks like it was removed. Sure they had their reasons for removing it. Overall amazing place and had a splendid time. Can't wait to book our next trip to Houtboschbaai No1. Very nice place and location.
What a pleasure to deal with Aletta and Riana. The photos reflect what you are getting - clean, comfortable accommodation with beautiful views and the beach one sand dune away. We felt safe at all times and we would most certainly recommend the accommodation and visit again.
The guest house is very tidy and has all the necessary facilities for a relaxed and luxurious holiday with the most beautiful sea view from the two main bedrooms as well as the deck. The convenience of the gas braai as well as the deliciously warm fireplace in the living room ensure that cooking and visiting time become one big delicious family celebration. Thank you very much for a very special visit with our children and grandchildren.

We would have loved to stay here much longer. The house is well equipped and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Older people may just need to be made aware that there are quite a few steps from your car to the house.

Very neat and clean unit. However, the amount of stairs to get from parking to the unit was a problem, as I was travelling with my elderly mother. No information was provided about location of local shops.
We enjoyed our time at Houtboschbaai. It is so peaceful there, the fynbos is unique and you'll have to search a long time before finding a better view. It's bit of a walk to the beach but not too far. House was tidy and clean and we had a very nice stay. Will recommend it any time.

Houtboschbaai No 1 is a dream unit that offers you a private stay with an amazing view of the beach and ocean. We could see the wales from our bedroom and experienced a gorgeous sunset. You'll definitely see us again! Big Time Taverna in St Francis Bay is a must.
We were a family of 4 and really enjoyed the weekend (just too short). The location and view are breathtaking. The unit is neat, clean and has all the accessories one needs. One feels safe and does not have to think about criminal elements. It is the ideal place for a break and to "recharge the batteries". We will definitely stay there again.
Perfect support, clean, quiet, nice to stay for 4 - 5 days, wonderful view, all that's needed for a holiday. Perfect to stay for 4 people, 6 will be okay.
The place is very beautiful and close to the beach. Whatmakes it nice is that there is no WiFi, so you're resting wonderfully. People who go there should just note that there are a fair number of stairs, but it is worth it.

We were pleasantly surprised at the complimentary chocolate, coffee, tea, milk, sugar and rusks. All the necessary electric appliances were there. Clean linen was neat. The beach is genuinely just 100 m far. Ten out of ten.
