Each cottage is equipped for self-catering with a fridge, oven and stove, and a microwave. Most have washing machines and some have dishwashers installed. All have uncapped, high-speed fibre internet available for for guests.
The estate offers a lovely swimming pool, as well as a tennis court, children's play area with a jungle gym, and 24-hour on-site security.
The location is ideal for those who wish to explore the area's attractions, such as a variety of wine farms, restaurants, and hiking and walking trails.

We had a wonderful stay, and there was enough space for our Karoo boy to release his energy. We will definitely use Houtkapperspoort Mountain Cottages again.
What an unforgettable weekend at one of the most beautiful places in the peninsula. Less than an hour's drive from our home in Melkbosstrand. Yet it felt to us as if we were somewhere overseas in the countryside. Accommodation exceeded all our expectations. So glad we discovered it. Will definitely come back for this fantastic getaway, next time just with more family because there are so many options to choose from.
A wonderful, family, weekend bread. Beautiful cottage in a secure, well located, estate. . Easy to move around to other areas of Cape Town.
It was neat, clean, enough space for 6 adults, nice barbecue area. Tennis court was a nice bonus. Many hiking trails in the area to explore the beauty.

We really enjoyed our stay at Houtkapperspoort. The cottage was clean and tidy and very well equipped. There is really everything one needs. The estate is beautiful, with beautiful views and beautiful gardens. It is well located with many attractions nearby.
Ross greeted us, he was kind and friendly and very informative. The stay was wonderful, peaceful. The cottage was neat, and very tidy with modern finishes. Will definitely come back.
We had a pleasant time staying at the poplar cottage, it was very comfortable and everything we needed was available to us. The manager, Ross was wonderful, he even responded to my questions of how to use certain things in the house via WhatsApp. It was very peaceful. We even took an afternoon walk around the estate and my child could enjoy watching the springbok up close. The only thing I would do differently would be come back in a warmer season to enjoy the pool.
An oasis of calm after a busy day. Very comfortable and clean. Loved the animal visitors - a genet cat at night, a tame squirrel who came right up to the door, a guinea-fowl who also visited us every morning and evening. Sterling customer service also. From a business perspective, I really appreciated the excellent lighting in the cottage and the fast and reliable internet.
We had a wonderful time. The house is clean and tidy. The children really enjoyed the goats and squirrels.
We Namibians love to braai and there is a braai on the stoep that overlooks the mountains. Every night was lovely and with teenagers the WiFi is of course a great asset. The master bedroom was of course my wife's favorite. Very nice and beautiful environment with all this.

Is a large, spacious 3-bedroom cottage that sleeps six people with ease and is positioned towards the middle of the Estate valley. Downstairs, the large, double-volume lounge complete with a comfortable rattan lounge suite and wingback chairs has a smart box to allow you to connect to your favourite streaming service account, a flat-screen TV and plenty of space to relax, under wooden beams and high ceilings. Towards the rear of the property the open-plan kitchen is fully fitted with electric hob and oven, washing machine, Fridge freezer and its own bar counter and bar stools, offering additional seating. The first two of the bedrooms are also downstairs, the Master complete with Queen size bed and views down the valley, and a twin room with two single beds. Once you ascend the wooden staircase you reach the third of three double bedrooms, a Queen size bed, built into the high roomed roof space. All have comfortable mattresses and lovely fresh bed linen to make your stay as relaxing as possible. Both full bathrooms offer showers, toilet and basin to guests. Outside, there is a large open patio to the front of the property with outdoor garden furniture, perfect for your morning coffee looking over the estate. To the rear is the cottage's garden with views up to the mountains, here you will also find the Braai / BBQ.

Description
Is a large, spacious 3-bedroom cottage that sleeps six people with ease and is positioned towards the middle of the Estate valley. Downstairs, the large, double-volume lounge complete with a comfortable rattan lounge suite and wingback chairs has a smart box to allow you to connect to your favourite streaming service account, a flat-screen TV and plenty of space to relax, under wooden beams and high ceilings. Towards the rear of the property the open-plan kitchen is fully fitted with electric hob and oven, washing machine, Fridge freezer and its own bar counter and bar stools, offering additional seating. The first two of the bedrooms are also downstairs, the Master complete with Queen size bed and views down the valley, and a twin room with two single beds. Once you ascend the wooden staircase you reach the third of three double bedrooms, a Queen size bed, built into the high roomed roof space. All have comfortable mattresses and lovely fresh bed linen to make your stay as relaxing as possible. Both full bathrooms offer showers, toilet and basin to guests. Outside, there is a large open patio to the front of the property with outdoor garden furniture, perfect for your morning coffee looking over the estate. To the rear is the cottage's garden with views up to the mountains, here you will also find the Braai / BBQ.

The fully equipped kitchen with washing machine and gas hob with electric oven is open plan with the lounge with a jet-master fireplace for the cooler Winter months, underfloor heating, air-conditioning, TV with DSTV (Hotel Bouquet) and DVD player and uncapped fibre internet. Lastly, perhaps most importantly, is the private patio to the rear of the cottage, as this is likely where you will spend most of your time. The private Braai/ Barbecue facilities are on the patio that steps down onto the main lawn of the Estate. Guests can enjoy sitting at their outdoor dining area with the Estate Springbok merely meters away or light a fire in the evening and watch the sunsets.
