Beautiful new modern home, top standard needs to be maintained though. Refrigerator must be defrosted and cleaned, previous guests' leftover food must be removed. Laundry rack for wet towels is a requirement. 2 Hangers in closet are insufficient. Extra easy chair in bedroom and living room would be recommended. Cleaning items such as vacuum cleaner and ironing board should be stored in the back. Please let clear instructions regarding TV, DStv or other channels - these were not available. Container for sugar, coffee must be washed after each guest.
The apartment is very large and spacious with a beautiful large screen TV, but certain basic items were missing, such as kitchen scissors, bread knife and drinking glasses (as indicated in some photos). A very nice shower with quick hot water, but a rack would have been very handy. It was great not having to worry about load shedding.

I made a mistake with my booking dates. Our hostess really made so much effort to accommodate us. We will definitely visit the accommodation in Harholdsbaai again. The accommodation was 5 star, comfortable, tidy and the people were the best of all. Feel free to visit!

We only stayed one night. The one bedroom apartment is a detached unit on a residential plot which is completely private and secluded. It is very well equipped with everything you might need for a nice stay. Spacious bedroom and also spacious living area. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend it, also for a longer stay.
I am very picky when it comes to the quality of bedding and how clean a unit is. Huis Marais offered everything we needed and what was important to us. The unit was spotlessly clean, the bedding and towels of excellent quality and the owner even provided treats for our 4-legged child. At night the area is quiet, so we slept great without the city noise. During the day we explored the world by car, as so many events and smaller resorts or villages can be reached within short distances. Thanks again to the owners for a comfortable atmosphere and quality amenities.
We visited family in George. We like to stay in our own place. Huis Marais was perfect for us. One is not even aware of loadshedding.

I suggest that the facility does put up "splash back" tiles at the kitchen sink, towel hangers and small towels in the bathroom so you can dry your hands, as well as a small TV table to put loose things on. Streaming TV very "intermittent" which was very disturbing. regards
The apartment is very large, but certain basic items were missing, such as kitchen scissors, salad spoons and an egg spatula. There was a Nespresso machine, but no puffs; also no air fryer or oven like in some of the photos. There was milk and water in the fridge which was nice.
