Not recommended for those unsteady on their feet due to different floor levels but absolutely perfect for a couple. Hosts are on hand if needed and very helpful. We walked all the way to Margate along the beach. Awesome. Good WiFi.

Carol and Braam have thought of everything. Felt like a home away from home, but with a sea view and own access gate to the beach. The perfect place to recharge. Hubby and I will most definitely be seeing them again. Absolute value for money.

The best view ever. Our accommodation was perfect. The cottage has everything you need. The beach is clean and right on your doorstep. Best place to chill and enjoy the view. Owners go out of their way to make sure everything you need is there. We will definitely go back there. We felt very safe there too.

The most hospitable hosts I have ever met, ensure complete comfort and making our stay the best experience by far. Tidy, comfy accommodation with beautiful sea view and easy access to the beach and of course the best fishing.
We had a great stay, it is quiet and peaceful. Braam and Carol are very friendly and helpful. The view while you shower is breathtaking. The bathroom is something different, which you don't find in other places. It feels like your own little house by the sea. Looking forward to our next visit.
Braam and Carol made us feel at home as soon as we stepped in. The cottage is lovely, safe and well equipped with e.g. a nice big fridge full of ice and filtered water. You simply cannot have a better view, even if you are lying in bed with an early morning coffee. The nice swimming beach is about 50 m from the cottage with only residents in the area using it. The main beach is about a kilometer walk along the beach with places to eat and so on. In the very well-kept garden there are birds, saw a kingfisher eating something a few times, and other interesting animals. There are also holes for mini golf, swings and swing bench for sitting and staring at the sea. There is a nice braai/visiting area and wood is provided. With inclement weather like we experienced there is DStv, Netflix and Showmax and for hot weather there is a roof fan and air conditioner. Will definitely visit again!
A little piece of paradise. The location is outstanding and all the extras and attention to detail made our stay special. Wonderful hosts who really care. It is impossible not to relax and enjoy Huisie. Plus the best shower view on the coast. We will definitely be back!
You don't need more if you want to spend some quiet time with your partner. It is very very private and walking distance to a private beach right in front of the cottage. The cottage is perfectly furnished with everything you will need with an outdoor shower overlooking the sea.
This is exactly what one needs with a getaway. The sea view was awesome! Will go there again.
The host and wife of Huisie aan See absolutely went the extra mile for us, nothing was too much trouble, they made us feel at home from day 1, the accommodation is exceptional, safe, tidy and clean with the perfect view, thank you Braam and Carol , you will see us again for sure.

Excellent proximity to restaurants, golf courses & beaches, great location.
Please could the owner resolve the water issue. We did ask for assistance with regards to the water not being hot and absolutely no water pressure in the shower with water cold. Owner did assist, we were able to have a shower on the first 2 days but the problem persisted and on the last two days there was once again no pressure or hot water.

The place is right on the beach for lovely walks and fishing at your door step. The owners stay at another property behind you and able to assist your every need.
Fantastic host and wife, nothing is too much trouble for them. Very nice place to stay, spacious and modern with a beautiful sea view. Security is top quality and offers a gate directly on the beach. The environment is friendly, the beach spotless and many opportunities for safe walking on the beach itself. It was so much fun that we didn't even get into our car the whole time! Thank you very much Braam and Carol - you made us love the South Coast from the beginning and we will definitely come again!
Very comfortable, safe and clean.
What a lovely break. The house and surroundings become your home! It's safe, tidy, well equipped (especially the fridge/freezer with sufficient storage space) and ideal for 2 people. Located close to the beach and you have an unlimited view of breaking waves and quick access to a safe private beach where you can swim. Should something be needed from the shops or an unplanned dinner at a restaurant, there are more than enough places nearby. Many thanks for the kindness and assistance from the owners who made us feel welcome right from the start. It's definitely a unique house that we will see more of and I believe this will be the case for all future guests.

There are not enough words to describe the place. It was the nicest holiday cottage we have ever been to. The owners are so friendly, they make people feel very much at home. The house was very clean and so beautiful. This house is in such a beautiful place with the most beautiful view. We will definitely visit again and just tell everyone and send them there. Best getaway for my fiancé's birthday. Can't wait to visit again.
