Located within an hour’s drive from Pretoria, in the northern part of Dinokeng Wildlife Reserve is Hunter’s Pride 14. This establishment offers self-catering accommodation in a beautiful spacious home that boasts uninterrupted views of the surrounding reserve.
This unit can accommodate up to 8 guests at a time and comprises 4 bathrooms and 4 air-conditioned bedrooms that each have a sliding door that leads to the outside. There are 2 bedrooms that are each furnished with a king-size bed and their own en-suite bathrooms fitted with a bath and a shower. The other 2 bedrooms each have 2 three-quarter beds and make use of the other 2 bathrooms that are fitted with a shower, washbasin and toilet.
The main living area features an open-plan design with a kitchen, living and dining room. The kitchen is fully equipped with a kettle, gas stove, electric oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, cutlery and crockery as well as a 4-seater breakfast bar. A washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher are available in the separate scullery.
Leading from the kitchen is a spacious lounge with comfortable seating and a Smart TV with Netflix and Showmax. Access to free Wi-Fi is available. The dining area includes a built-in braai as well as a dining table with enough seating for everyone to enjoy their meals together while admiring the 180-degree views.
Through the stacking doors, there is a lovely outside area with a jacuzzi to the right and a boma area with a firepit to the left. Guests have access to a covered parking bay for 2 vehicles.
There is a battery that automatically kicks in to keep the lights, TV, fridge and air-condition on in the case of load shedding.
The estate offers mini-golf, table tennis and a snooker table. There are also dirt roads that can be explored by bike or on foot, safely behind a Big 5 fence. There are zebras and impalas roaming freely within the estate and the house has views of the bushveld where any of the animals of Dinokeng can walk past while guests enjoy their morning coffee or light the fire. Game drives in the northern part of the reserve are available or guests can explore the south for themselves, both at an additional fee.

Outstanding. We just missed the iron. For some reason, there were two empty boxes but no iron, so we had to go to the conference with crinkled shirts. That was a small inconvenience in light of the fantastic stay! Everything was everything and more than advertised! The game drive was outstanding with 2 of the five big five.

We went as a group of friends and really enjoyed the place. Would recommend to anyone. It is very close to most of the restaurants and the Safari shop. I would just suggest that they get someone to spray the place for ants and other insects as discussed (I know it's in the woods and you won't always be able to prevent it). A freezer will help a lot if you are a large group of people. Couldn't have used the indoor braai, so I think the outdoor braai might need some protection from the wind. But otherwise we had a very nice stay.
There is enough space and privacy for a lovely break. The house is equipped with everything we needed. It is peaceful and very safe. It is so clean and neatly maintained. I would definitely recommend it!

Beautiful well equipped house! The kitchen has everything from a cake pan, glass bowls, plastic bowls and more. Everything you might need in the kitchen. Loadshedding phase 6 was no problem, the power system worked beautifully and the smart TV with WiFi was available all the time for the World Cup Rugby matches! The sail canopy by the jacuzzi created a lovely place to hang out. The house is spacious and the fully opening glass doors create a wonderful "inside-outside" atmosphere where our group of 8 had a great time. There is wheelchair access via a ramp at the back door, but there is no bath chair in the shower for wheelchair use or arrangements at the toilet. The resort provided us with a shower chair for the duration of our visit. The communication with the owner and the resort is also very good! Zebras came to visit every day and there was also plenty of game on the other side of the fence. I can recommend Hunter's Pride 14 without a doubt!

Useful info. Owner has installed a water filtration system in the kitchen. Very helpful. Load shedding zone: Welgevonden (13) Tshwane. Wi-Fi was still a problem and didn't work for Netflix. Perhaps it is capped or tower batteries are struggling with load shedding. Inside braai was a big plus for the cold winter nights.
Great location with no noise, and no other people in sight. Animals grazing on your doorstep. Beautiful house with all you need for your stay. Best of all no loadshedding. Because of the solar and battery inverter system. Will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed our stay there. The house caters for your every single need. Besides the Wi-Fi that was not working, we did not feel it because we didn't even have time for TV. What you see on the pictures is what you get. It was a great time-out.

My husband is in a wheelchair and Hunter's pride 14 built a "ramp" at the back door that has helped him a lot with access to the residence. The entrance to the showers is too narrow for a wheelchair, but other bathroom worked well. "Grab rail" at toilet and in shower, will further improve access.
Very nice, neat and very helpful. Would definitely recommend to any group. Lots to do for kids as well as adults. The house itself is absolutely fantastic and the owner definitely went out of her way for us.

We had no toilet paper refill just one roll per toilet for the whole weekend it was a struggle, but other than that our stay was nice and the place if gorgeous! Other than toilet paper struggles the place was beautiful and fun was had.
Had a great time with family from Portugal. House is clean and tidy and provides all your needs. Outdoor umbrella by pool was unfortunately broken, but they made an effort and brought us another one. Feel free to use Johannes for a game drive, it's really worth it. He is very knowledgeable and makes it very enjoyable. Would recommend Hunter's Pride 14 anytime, very nice place.
