Its abundance of birdlife makes this lodge the avid birdwatcher's delight, while the river offers a great freshwater angling experience. Secure parking is available on the premises.

We chose Huntershoek because of its location as a good stopover between Cape Town and Durban. Although it is located next to the N2, one only hears the night sounds of nature. The view over the mountains and valley is breathtaking. Photos cannot capture reality. The staff are friendly, helpful and made us feel very special. We were sad to leave the next morning. Planning a week-long holiday at Huntershoek to recharge the batteries is on my bucket list for 2024!
This was so beautiful. It was clean and felt very safe. Candice was lovely to deal with, and I would recommend this accommodation. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was hot. The views were stunning.
Excellent destination with total privacy, seclusion with nature's sounds, safety, luxurious bath and shower facilities, undisturbed natural beauty, unobstructed view of the surrounding landscape and the opportunity to walk on dirt roads.
Was an awesome overnight stay. The host was super friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay there again.
