Place as advertised and booked and confirmed was not the same as we got. When I wanted to find out, I was rudely told that it was not the owner's problem. Toilet leaked, floor was wet all the time.
We had a lovely time at Ibis Place, I literally felt like a baby. We got to the residence a bit late, but we were still welcomed with warm hearts and we managed to still cook our quick dinner with no issues. The hosts were very welcoming.

Well located, quiet holding outside George. We were just looking for overnight accommodation before the start of cycling races and Ibis Place Guest House was perfect. Reasonably priced, helpful owner and clean room. Perfect for our need.

Needs a little TLC (lots of spiderwebs) but Doom was readily available on table. Stove was not used by us - but appearance was a little dirty.

When I booked I was informed it is room only. On arrival we were forced to pay R1850 additional for 2 minor kids who slept with us. The owner is a money freak as we had guests who came and had supper literally for 40 minutes and we had to pay R50 per guest.

The place really doesn't look like the pictures. Although the beds have good mattresses and the linens were clean, this is not the ideal place for a business trip. The rooms as well as the shower door etc do not open up to the roof. Felt more like a bother than a welcome.
The couches are dirty, got pieces of sponge out of them, no welcoming coffee or tea, fridge does not stay cold. No dishwashing liquid, no toilet paper. No water available to flush toilets during loadshedding or to wash hands. Dishes etc. absolutely unhygienic, we had to figure this out the hard way, we were not told this. Floors and bedding were clean at least. Loads of flies, nothing provided to spray them or even strips from ceiling to catch them. I was so embarrassed to have paid and taken our friends to a place like this. Compared to our stay in Bloemfontein, this place needs to be audited for your site. The pictures were nothing compared to our place.
Just enough for an overnight stay. The TV really only has limited channels which is frustrating. Trash had previous people's trash in it but the bed was fantastic!

Cleanliness is the biggest problem, the rooms were dirty and so were the towels. Nice and peaceful place at night but you cannot fully enjoy the property its not well maintained and the nicest part is reserved for owners dogs, but would be a great place to walk and exercise.

Water was sorted but wasn't right on arrival and was so disappointed that I went looking for my other place on Saturday morning. Talked to owner about it and she didn't even answer me. Very poor customer service. The advertisement and place itself are not the same at all. No privacy, people next door made music and noise all night until next morning and just kept at it. Ronny and Fara really went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Upon our arrival late Sunday afternoon. As well as for the entire time we stayed there with them. They are very friendly and helpful.
The owners made us feel very much at home every time and received us kindly and explained everything. We enjoy our visits at Ibis.
The entrance gate has spider webs. I think it's not very safe as entrance are easy from outside, why not switch to remotes. Parking needs a face lift.
Ibis Place was a disappointment. It had not been cleaned for a long time and the cobwebs and dirty floors, dirty bathrooms and dirty kitchen were very unpleasant.
Shower at the top around tiles/walls moldy and dirty. Bathroom blinds are full of dust. Although, self-catering I would expect at least a bar of soap in the bathroom and just a dash of washing-up liquid by the sink in the kitchen. The same with just enough coffee and sugar for 1 night would also be welcome. This is available at most self-catering units. Would suggest putting a nice smelling container in unit.
The owners Ronny and Fara are truly beautiful people. If we needed anything, they didn't hesitate to help us. We can really recommend Ibis Place Guest House. Wonderful people and beautiful place.
We were first in the house with the inner rooms. The beds are so nice and the bedding even nicer. We then moved to the 6 sleeper outside. Just so nice staying there. Children were welcomed with blocks and toys. The owners are very friendly and helpful. You will see us again for sure.

Quiet for a getaway. Nice location central to most attractions. Great customer service! Friendly staff! Units are clean and tidy, just think it would be a good idea to find out beforehand which groups/guests booked with you. For the first 3 days we could not use the pool at all due to a group of young people who booked and stayed there at the same time as us. They were loud, but the units are pretty sound proof. We got breakfast the first morning at the dining hall after which we were informed that if we wanted breakfast again the following days, they would serve it to us at our unit as the group that was at the dining hall did not want us to be together don't eat breakfast with them. As we understood, they paid for the dining hall and amenities and were not willing to share with other guests. I feel that something like this should be shared by the owner with guests in advance.

Our stay at Ibis Place can be described in one word: fantastic! If you want peace and quiet, then this is the place to stay.
The owner has 2 rather aggressive and territorial dogs. This translated into our Golden Retriever having to spend his time inside the apartment despite the beautiful lawn area and lake. Maybe it would have been better for the owner to not advertise his place as dog friendly.
We had a great time, all we need is complimentary coffee, tea, sugar and some milk.

Stay away! The reception was very poor. After a complaint about the room, the owner acted very unreasonably. We were yelled at. The room was dirty. Towels on ground. Bottles of soap empty and used.

No privacy to get dressed. We were 2 families and everyone stayed in one unit. The people who stayed above us had more privacy, especially for getting dressed. Reception was very poor and WiFi did not work at all. For the amount we paid, we were not happy at all. Kitchen is so narrow and we had to make use of the table in the sleeping unit. The swimming pool was a pro.

We were received very kindly. In general, the buildings were poorly maintained. The cottage for 4 was dusty and cutlery and plates in cupboards were dirty, messy and incomplete. There were old candies from previous people in cupboards. No coffee and tea, or soap in bathrooms. Dirty sponges full of hair that you have to wash your dishes with. Lovely, comfortable beds and fantastic linen. Cabinets handle off and curtain rails fall from the walls. Stairs to garden full of cobwebs. Most beautiful location and view. I really have very mixed feelings about our visit there, but would definitely not recommend.

Ibis Place Guest House is one of those places where you are in nature but still not far from the necessary facilities such as centres, hospitals, sports events and the airport. Our time was very limited, but would love to return to explore the place properly. Amazing hosts - we arrived just before midnight but they stayed up to let us in. Very friendly and welcoming. And what an amazing omelette for breakfast! A top-spot for us in George.
Rooms are spacious and have everything you need, the hospitality of Ronny and Fara is overwhelming. They make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need. Would recommend for short overnight or long stay. They are also in the process of upgrading the farm and offering even more value for money.

It was great. The owners of the Ibis Place Guest House are really friendly and will do anything to make you as comfortable as is possible. The views are amazing and all the animals are giving the place a really homy vibe. The swimming pool was a great bonus and the breakfast was great. Location is perfect if you want to be out of centre and if you have your own car you can move around really easily.

The farm house that we stayed in was very clean and well equipped although the reception at arrival was poor. We had to switch on the fridge as it was not on and the cutlery in the kitchen is very limited and I had to ask for some cutlery (steak knifes) as there was only 1 knife available, however IBIS supplied the requested cutlery immediately.
Stopped over for 2 days in George and looked around and place to stay. Ronnie and his wife made us feel so at home it felt like we had known each other for many years. My family and I will definitely use the fantastic place again. The only complaint I really have is that the kitchen is very close to the rooms and the early morning noise bothered us a bit. Otherwise it was a fantastic stay.
I can recommend the place with the utmost confidence, all aspects of the stay were excellent.

Ours was just a one night stay but we were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room was beautifully appointed and comfortable and the breakfast the next morning was delicious and filling. Definitely worth another visit.
Ronnie and his wife are excellent hosts and will go the extra mile to meet any requirements. The various animals (especially the donkey, sheep and little pigs) really grew on us. The abundant wild (and not so wild) life was a breath of fresh air and helped to unwind. The braais on the deck with the beautiful view has to be experienced personally. Ibis is very conveniently and centrally located - the best is to get back to the tranquility after a day of bustle. Ronnie must just consider installing fans in rooms for those hot evenings.

I can recommend Ibis Place to anyone looking for a nice peaceful getaway. All the basic amenities are there and it's private with nice views. The owners are incredibly helpful and we really enjoyed the animals. I think the silence and the fact that we rested so well is what made this guest house so enjoyable for me. It's almost like being on the farm! I will definitely use them again and it's away from all the city noise too!
Especially comfortable as family accommodation.

Dinners are available by arrangement, 1 day prior to arrival, and is served in the dining room. Guests can also make use of a communal kitchen.
Outside, a long patio is available where guests can enjoy mountain views whilst having their breakfast, dinners and sundowners. Ibis Place is completely child-friendly and provides facilities and activities including animal feeding and wide, open spaces.
