20 guests' feedbackThe place has beautiful surroundings and is conveniently located. Rooms are very spacious with a country feel. Secure parking right next to the chalet. Staff are welcoming and helpful.
We booked chalets and were then moved to guest rooms. The room has sleeping space for 2 people, but only 1 chair on the veranda. Please make fix the hot water shower tap so that you are not standing with the tap in your hand when you turn on the hot water.
Nice stay. Tidy. Safe.
Had a wonderful stay. Warmly and professionally received. Beautiful panorama.
Perfect stop over on our way to Zimbabwe, despite load shedding we had a beautiful evening and slept well and strong again the next day for our trip north!
Very disappointing. Fridge not on and no ice trays or water in it. Difficult to get in as the number on the board did not exist. Manager very friendly but too casual.
It is close to town and yet feels deep in the woods.
The lodge was easy to find and had everything we needed. The garden is beautiful and there are many birds. The sunsets are beautiful.
Convenient en route Zimbabwe.
Place is fine must just update there accommodation.
I was there because of work, but would definitely recommend it for a break for nice relaxation in the natural beauty.
Ilala Lodge is a property that has been kept tidy and neat, the chalets are very amenable and comfy , being a self catering unit it is fine - however the signs of covid-19 fallout are very obvious in that the main buildings are now requiring maintenance and with the obvious lack of trade things are slow to a point of one or two guests. The dining room looks like a Grande old dame who is now a shell of what was. It is our wish for the owners to be able to pick up and get the Lodge back to what it was.
It is said that there is a swimming pool and that one can use it sitting, but unfortunately the pool is dirty and one cannot swim. Braai needs attention as well as the grass roofs.
Friendly welcome from Essie and the breakfast was delicious. Beautiful view - especially the Baobab trees! Had a lovely, safe sleep.
Much quieter than staying in town! Few additional plugs near the table would be great.
The accommodation was clean and neat. Everything you need is in the house. The area is peaceful and quiet. We could really relax. The owners are friendly and help where they can to make your stay pleasant.
We were in the area for work and would like to spend more time there.
Please see the stars.
