We spent the night at Impala Chalets to enter Phalaborwa gate early the next morning. It is a great place to spend the night. The owner even arranged for us to get a registration form for the wildlife park so that we could fill it in beforehand. Very neat and fully equipped.
The host went out of his way to make us feel at home and to make sure that everything that needed to work did work.

The park's gate is very close and we had such a lovely stay that my husband said we had to stay another night before our departure and we will definitely go again next time! We were kindly welcomed by Magda and her husband. Our chalet was well equipped with everything that could be needed as well as extra flashlights/lights for that annoying load shedding. Cooking was no problem, there is a gas stove available. Beautiful bathroom with walk-in shower. The atmosphere was calming and the gardens around the chalet were well maintained. One would like to give the place a bad review to keep it a secret from everyone. As a city person, you hear about Phalaborwa as a hot spot in the summer. We were very lucky with wonderful weather. The chalets have been put together with careful planning by people who have also stayed in self-catering places for a long time. Nothing odds and ends for the place. Everything was bought new and works. You actually feel guilty when you have to go out because you just want to stay there. And for us big men there are also chairs that can support our weight. When we left I forgot something in the room and even before I was out of town I was called to ask if I could turn around and pick up the item. I will definitely stay at Impala Chalets again. And those who like museums: The Foskor museum is within walking distance around the corner from them.
