61 guests' feedbackWe felt very welcome. Beautiful place.
Now that was such a nice stay. We were in awe the moment we opened the door and were able to sit back and just take nature in. So many animals come to say hi when you throw the approved feed around the stoep. Have a nice afternoon boma/braai just takes all the stress away. The owner came across very calm and relaxed and always answered any queries in a timely fashion. Definitely want to go again.
Impala Lily Kaya, we had a great stay! Experience so much wildlife every day at our cottage. Neat and very welcoming!
Truly a fantastic home to stay in with everything you need. Close to eateries and shops. What a privilege to wake up in the morning and see how many animals are waiting on your porch to be fed. You become one with nature. Wayne, thank you so much for sharing your piece of paradise with us. We'll be back soon for another visit.
We stayed at Impala Lily Kaya from the 31 March to the 5 April. What an amazing place. Very peaceful, the place has been maintained, clean and neat, and everything you need is there. Thanks, Wayne, you are an awesome host. So many animals came to visit right through the day. We really enjoyed our stay, and we will definitely be back.
It was the best holiday I've had in years. The house was neat and tidy. Everything was there that we needed. The owner went out of his way to accommodate my son on dialysis. The wildlife was amazing. The 2 weeks flew past. You will definitely see me next year. If you're looking for something peaceful and relaxing, Impala Lily Kaya is the place to be. The splash pool was a bonus with the heat wave. The pool was clean and ready to jump in. I highly recommend this house. This will now be our yearly vacation place. Thank you for an incredible holiday.
Neat and comfortable - well located.
Awesome stay. Awesome host. Will most definitely return.
Had a great time, the place has everything you need. I love the boma outside. Every night until late to relax by the fire.
We had a lovely stay with everything you need. The boma was a winner, because we could sit around it and visit for many hours. Many animals came to visit and the layout of the house is very practical.
It was very peaceful and would go home again. There are about 1 or 2 things that need attention, but nothing serious.
Really a very cute place. Perfect for a family of 4. Will definitely go there again.
Kitchen space a bit small. But you have a wonderful time on the stoep, very safe with many animals that come looking for food. We and our children and granddaughter enjoyed it very much.
Pleasant, lots of wildlife.
Comfortable and well equipped. Has a braai, which was a welcome addition.
Relaxing and enjoyed the stay, although not wheelchair friendly.
The small things such as no soap in soap dispensers, nor there being scourers for the dishes were unpleasant to have to deal with. The utensils were of extremely poor quality, such as blunt knives. The internet quality was also poor. Furthermore, the one air conditioning unit didn't work, and the portable magneto lights were faulty or falling to pieces. The host should at the very least make his guests feel welcome by providing basic amenities such as tea, coffee, and sugar, even in small amounts. Apart from that, it was an enjoyable stay.
For the animals on our front porch, we had a nice stay and the linen was clean. That made it worth it. I would only suggest updating the pictures, there is no dishwasher, and no DSTV either. That it is also mentioned that guests must open the pool themselves.
The roads to the accommodation were awful. I felt that the advert for Impala Lily was very misleading. We expected a sparkling pool (as in the picture above) but we felt that it wasn't prepared for visitors at all. No way could one have lain on the side relaxing. We had to remove the pool cover (we are elderly ladies). I actually fell off the narrow wall (quite high) while trying to put the cover on the next day! No fan was available in the living area, and we had to contend with mosquitoes, which wouldn't have been so bad had we used a fan. It was broken. The bed in the living area (which I requested) wasn't prepared, and I had to remove bedding from one of the rooms. The house itself was very comfortable with everything necessary (except the fan). Apparently, the solar light to the braai area had been vandalised prior to our visit. This didn't affect us as we only stayed one night (instead of the 5 we had booked). Very disappointing. We will never return to Impala Lily Kaya!
Wow, I have no words. It is neat, well situated, with lots of wild animals.
Very nice stay and enjoyed every moment! The animals visited us often and the swimming pool was a nice place for us to visit. WiFi was great!
Nice place, we had a nice weekend, thanks Wayne.
A very comfortable and relaxing stay. The owner is very attentive to your needs. There is a lovely splash pool for the kids, and wild game come to the back door to feed and have a drink. We enjoyed our stay and will be back!
Wayne was more than helpful in every sense. We will definitely visit again. The house was spotless when we checked in, aircons came in handy. The kids loved the pool.
Was clean. Tidy. Wayne was very friendly and helpful. Animals moving around the house and coming for pellets to eat was a big bonus.
What a wonderful place to go to completely relax and be completely at peace. We really loved the peace and the animals, thank you so much for a wonderful stay.
Braai area is nice in the forest with the nice night sounds. We heard the lions roar for 3 nights.
The place to stay was comfortable and clean and Wayne, the owner, made regular contact to see if everything was still OK. We will definitely stay there again.
Can highly recommend this place with peace of mind for a comfortable, tidy stay, will definitely visit again. Comfortable room layout and everything needed is there, nice and close to all the local shops. Definitely worth every penny.
Our stay was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. Saw plenty of animals. Will recommend to people. Peaceful stay.
We had a lovely, peaceful weekend at Impala Lily Kaya. Just what we needed.
We will definitely be visiting Impala Lily Kaya again, we had a super break away. Thank you to Wayne for hosting us and going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Looking forward to next time.
Clean, safe and quick to help sort out any problem, will visit the place again anytime, thank you very much for a nice weekend.
Had a great time and watched wildlife. Always fun in Marloth.
The place is very clean and tidy. It was just a bit cramped with 5 adults. Very peaceful, the animals often visited our little house.
Impala Lily Kaya is such a great home when you need to get away. Many animals visited us during the day. The swimming pool was great and sitting by the braai area at night was just as great. The owner checked in regularly to make sure we are ok. So far it's the best home we have stayed at.
First visit to marloth park. We were in our element in the woods. Thanks to Wayne, the owner for his unique place among the trees with a swimming pool for cooling off the heat of the lowlands. Robust and blends in with the environment and background of lowland vegetation. Never seen wild animals come so close to us, that's a plus. Water tank brings warthogs to your porch in the afternoon. Impala Lilly Kaya fits in with the woodland landscape and just right for the bush lover. Thank you Wayne for your hospitality and your patience.
Been able to drive around a lot and it's a good base to work from.
No light at braai. Aircon in room with double bed is leaking inside the room. Pool is also leaking. Toilet paper holder is broken.
Very good place, very nice and just amazing to be able to interact with the wild animals. Amazing and very good customer service from the owner. We only found near the braai place and boma that the lighting is not good at all. There is a solar light, but it doesn't even last half an hour, which is very dangerous especially with children and a leopard loose in Marloth, otherwise there is no problem and it was just amazing.
Unbelievably very tasty, especially the stoep where we fed kudus, wildebeest, goats and pigs. Slept very well with the aircon. Very grateful also for the WIfi. Conveniently located near the supermarket and the home improvement store which was also awesome. Was a bit unexpected to see no dishwasher, the photos show there was one. But was informed that the dishwasher is broken.
The unit is well equipped with everything one needs. Many animals came to visit daily. Plekkie is close to shops and eateries. All that bothered me was that the braai was far from the stoep. However, this is not such a big problem.
The accommodation is a diamond in the rough, it has great potential if a little modernization is brought into this space. Apart from the need for slight improvements, I would recommend new cleaning products, not because the unit is dirty but rather because the current cleaning products leave a rather strong cleaning chemical smell in the unit. Wayne was a great host and constantly checked in to ensure that everything was good, always appreciate that small personal touch.
Negative: TV without decoder. Even if I took my decoder with me, it wouldn't have helped. No LNB on the dish. Remove TV on advertisement it creates a false impression for people who want to rent there It is of no use to anyone who rents there.
We loved the place and hope to be back soon.
The perfect place for a peaceful getaway. We could sit for hours on the porch or in the pool and watch all the animals and birds around us. The house has everything we needed for the weekend. Cherie is very friendly answered our queries very quickly. Definitely a place we will visit again.
Wonderful experience!
Place was well appointed. Everything you would need.
We had an incredible stay. Such a tranquil area with loads of visitors every morning and evening, the unit is very neat and has everything you need. Would definitely go back.
Light at the barbecue would be ideal.
A very nice place, the splash pool was very welcome with the warm weather and the wild animals came to visit us every day. A light at the braai area would be very convenient. Will definitely use Impala Lily Kaya again.
Would recommend Impala Lily Kaya anytime. Nice place, kids enjoyed it. Will go back again anytime.
The cottage is very nice and has all the basic necessities. The cottage is just not very private because the neighbors are quite close. The place also needs some maintenance.
Some finer details could be looked at, like toilet not flushing in spare bathroom. Swimming pool needs more attention. Other than that everything worked and was clean/neat enough. The photos make the house look much bigger than it actually is.
See stars.
I can highly recommend Impala Lily Kaya. You are surrounded by nature yet if you need to get ice cream or anything else from the shop it is just around the corner. Aircons in the house definitely help during summer as it does get hot, and there is a splash pool to cool down in which is an added benefit. The braai area is away from the house so you can enjoy braaiing under the stars while hearing the lions roaring in the background. At night Marloth Park really comes alive, be sure to take a torch and a UV torch, and download the ASI app, it is amazing to see what lives around you. If you are lucky you will spot centipedes, scorpions, frogs and we were lucky enough to find an Eastern Tiger snake.
We enjoyed the animal feeding, Lily Kaya is what you see on the pictures. Clean and nice home.
Easy to find, everyone is friendly, it was a peaceful and quiet weekend. Exactly what we needed!
Absolutely a gem in the bushveld. house was clean and all the rooms were nicely equipped. House has everything needed to stay there. We plan to visit again before the end of the year.
The place is neat and clean, the places are perfect for a young family. We had a great time at Impala Loly Kaya. I'm just suggesting for better lighting outside.
