A wonderful base for exploring all Montagu has to offer if you can tear yourself away from the guesthouse.
Reception was friendly, even made us a reservation for dinner, and the selection was excellent. (Which we were very relieved about, clearly Montagu's restaurants are busy).
The guest house is tasteful, owners extremely friendly and helpful and the surroundings beautiful.
The guest house far exceeded our expectations. The reception was surprisingly friendly and made us feel very welcome. Besides the neat and tasteful rooms and reception rooms, it has a lively garden with charming quiet corners where one's soul can rest after a long journey. The garden and the house have numerous works of art that keep the love of the arts alive. Even a small interesting library! The host and wife and their staff went to great lengths to address the guests' needs. I can't ask for more. Next time we will be here again. Definitely.
What a pleasure it was staying at this wonderful guesthouse. From our warm reception on arrival from Marlien till our departure we had a wonderful stay. The owners are also lovely and friendly with loads of advice on things to do in and around Montagu. Very centrally located so we were walking distance from many wonderful restaurants. The breakfast was also very good and tasty with many locally sourced ingredients. We loved the small touches like the wonderful fresh creamy milk in glass bottles in the fridge and lovely fruit on our room. Also having a coffee machine in the room instead of just instant coffee was an unexpected pleasure. We had a wonderfully relaxing few days here and will definitely be back.
We want to go back with guests to this oasis. We felt very much at home and special wit our visit.
