For nature lovers, the Igwala hiking trail is nearby and the beautiful surroundings create a peaceful atmosphere. The unit is well equipped, neat and cleaned daily. We will stay there again.
It was very nice at the lodge, the owner is very friendly and helpful, the lodge itself is really in very good condition and value for what you pay. The owner accommodated us with an extra day, without any problems. Thank you very much.

Please advise future clients that the two-sleeper is very very small. Not suitable for tall people. The accommodation is exceptionally small and very misleading in the photos. The owners were very accommodating and let us move to a two-bedroom for 3 of our 5 days booked. We then had to move back to the 2 sleeper. We left after 3 days as the two-sleeper was just not suitable for my husband and me.
We have St. Lucia visit for the large number of birds in the area. Thought we'd have to drive around or go to the woods for that. But right here in the garden at Ingwenya Lodge there are so many interesting bird species we were quite amazed. The accommodation is comfortably furnished with everything needed for self-catering. The friendly staff made sure every day that we could come back to neat, clean accommodation after a long day out. Thank you, Madeleine, for all the information on arrival, it's very thoughtful, but for us who don't know the town, it was also really necessary. Thank you for a wonderful week, the time flew by too quickly, would have liked to stay much longer. Can definitely recommend Ingwenya Lodge and we wouldn't stay anywhere else in St. Lucia doesn't.
We were here years ago and had a great stay then, I will say it has only gotten better. We had a great stay even if it was only for one night and would go again.
We stayed in an upstairs apartment with a wonderful view of the St Lucia mouth and black, across a beautiful forest. It was quiet, spacious and the lights stay on during load shedding! We were given a map and recommendations for tours and restaurants, and the load-shedding schedule for our stay. Madeleine's recommendations even extend to a pickup and deliver laundry service, very reasonably priced.
Magdeleine is a fantastic hostess! They run a beautifully maintained lodge with friendly staff and very comfortable accommodation. Everything you may need to relax. Our child enjoyed the pool while our dog got to know the garden better. Everyone was happy. Thank you, Ingwenya Lodge, for a great time. We see you again. Regards.

Would have liked if there were steak knives and a mop. Neighbors above us made a lot of noise and we could hear the neighbors next door talking through the walls.

Our stay was really nice, with an added bonus of the lights running off battery power when there is no municipal power. The lounge suite was just really uncomfortable.
We had a great time and any problems were sorted out immediately. During phase 4 power outage basic services are available so we barely noticed the power was off.

The location is very good. Accommodation is quite adequate.
The only sofa is extremely uncomfortable. The place is dark with little natural light. During inclement weather you cannot relax and watch TV, the DSTV package is what nobody is interested in watching. If you are a fisherman, want a sea view and comfort is not important to you, you will enjoy the view. Madelein is a perfect hostess. We do not feel that it was not worth the value per night. In Ballito we had twice the size of accommodation for much less and 5 times the convenience with full DSTV as well as Netflix.

Ons het absoluut heerlik gebly by Madeleine-hulle. Madeleine is so passievol oor die omgewing en het ons baie mooi ingelig oor al die toerisme attraksies en die pragtige omgewing. Die verblyf is perfek - alles wat mens nodig het en baie gerieflik.

After 7 hours on the road one is not in the mood for problems at the lodge. We arrived at Ingwenya and Madeleine received us with a smile! She told us about all the things there are to do in and around St Lucia and also some history about the town. She offered us her diving goggles and snorkels and showed us our house. We move in with a beautiful view. The rest of the weekend was wonderful, rooms were cleaned everyday en the cleaners are very trustworthy. In St Lucia we made use of Advantage tour business which I would recommend as well! To stay at Ingwenya was a feast and we're doing it again soon!
Madeleine was very friendly and informed us well about the area. It was amazing for us to be able to take our 2 dogs with us and play with them on the beach. Nice and close to walk to places to eat.
Ingwenya's location is very good and the staff is very friendly. The facilities are good, just as described. We were 4 adults and 4 kids and our rooms with our own kitchen / living area was perfect for us.
Nice two storey house, relaxed. Not suitable for the fuller figure since the stairs are quite steep, but everything you need.

The cottage was very clean and well looked after, the curtains on the ground floor just didn't close properly and were therefore not very private because the window is right next to the pool. Our dogs were together and it was very nice because there was a place where they could sleep and stay that was safe. Would definitely stay here again.
The other guests made a lot of noise very early in the morning and late in the evening. No one did anything about it. No WiFi, and kettle didn't function properly. Fridge not very cold.
