Each cottage provides accommodation for up to five guests and is fully-equipped for self-catering. Our campsite is a large grass-covered area surrounded by indigenous trees. We are constantly adding to the list of activities by expanding the hiking trails and coordinating with our neighbouring establishments to offer motorcycle and mountain bike routes.
There are four cottages, Geelhout, Tierhout, Olienhout and Melkhout. Each cottage has a large double bedroom as well as a second room for three guests. Extra beds and a baby cot can be added if required. The kitchen is fully-equipped with a fridge, hotplate, microwave, electric frying pan, toaster and kettle.
There are electrical points in the camp ground. Two shared braai areas are available for our guests. The lapa offers a shady place where guests can relax and the fire pit is ideal for long night time "kuiers" around the fire. (wood available) A huge natural swimming hole will offer a welcome respite during the summer months.
Regretfully we cannot allow pets as this is a wilderness area.

27 guests' feedbackThank you very much. Enjoyed the weekend. Beautiful surroundings and excellent weather. Everything in the house was there to make the visit enjoyable.
We had a wonderful camping weekend at Innikloof, returned home feeling very relaxed. Fantastic nature walks, beautiful scenery, great swimming spots. Camp site is child friendly, we will be back.
Our main goal was to photograph dragonflies and damselflies, and for that, inniKloof is the ideal destination with the river running through the vast gorge. There are plenty of lovely swimming holes and walking paths through the forest where one can enjoy and appreciate nature. The accommodation was spacious, comfortable and tidy and the surroundings very neat and tidy. We stayed in one of the cottages, but were also extremely impressed by the cleanliness of the lovely campsite next door. Thank you very much for an extremely pleasant visit inniKloof!
Back soon for another visit.
Pit-pit track disappointment. Grass very long, even in front and behind the house. No running water and gas at times. Well fixed after we report problem.
Warm welcome, we stayed in Houthuis for 4 nights, the place is equipped with everything imaginable. The silence at night with only the babbling of the stream made it a heavenly experience, definitely worth a visit.
The owners are very accommodating and the accommodation is clean and tidy. There is a lot to do for the nature lover, from swimming in the water pools, lovely hiking trails as well as for mountain bikers. It's 10 minutes to the nearest town, where you can buy anything in short supply at the Spar, just half an hour's drive and you can frolic on the beach. Can rest very comfortably where technology has no influence.
We had a wonderful time. Beautiful surroundings, kids could ride bikes safely, lovely hiking trails, bird watcher's paradise. Best place to relax and switch off.
Beautiful surroundings and cool off in the swimming pool - just what you need, away from the busy life. Thank you.
A bird lover's den, so peaceful.
InniKloof is a beautiful place. We enjoyed our time there. Nature at its best with good and clean facilities.
Value for money.
Very beautiful on the mountain. Woke up early in the morning to beautiful birdsong. Great break from the city.
One place you have to visit in your life to get away from the rat race.
First class facilities and real country hospitality, nothing more needed, Thank you for an unforgettable weekend and for being able to share your gem with us. InniKloof we will see you again for sure. And thank you for the no cell phone reception, and if technology really puts pressure on you, set up a tiki box.
From our first meeting, Catharina went out of her way to accommodate us. She was not aware of my injury and the fact that I could not stay in the forest camp. She immediately moved and practiced and gave us a lovely stand in natural forest, surrounded by Geelhoute. The bird life was unusually abundant and we were able to enjoy the silence and peacefulness. She dealt with complaints immediately and made a real deal out of them and every evening she and her spouse visited each camper to find out if everyone was happy. It was over Christmas and they put us first over their own interests. Thank you, I tell everyone about you!
A most pleasant experience and peaceful stay.
This is a piece of heaven on earth, one of the best getaways myself and hubby have had and we will definitely be going back, next time with the kids too.
Beautiful and quiet, lovely pools for swimming. No TV or cellphone which is great. Nice walking trails and mountain biking routes.
InniKloof's owner's hospitality was excellent from start to finish, an experience we have never had before. The location is ideal where you can forget about everything and just relax with your whole family. Best of all is the location, just well out of range of cell phones so one can relax in comfort. Would recommend inniKloof anytime to others looking for peace and quiet. Great!
Nice deep in the gorge, very quiet and peaceful.
Incredibly beautiful and peaceful. The cottages are very comfortable. Beautiful hiking trails. Will definitely go again.
Beautiful surroundings and one should make time to explore the surroundings.
We enjoyed the holiday and should the opportunity arise, we will definitely go again. Would like to make a suggestion regarding the shower though - a door might help to keep the floor a dryer and the cold/hot water isn't always easy to navigate. Thanks to the couple Waite for your hospitality.
For the price per night would prefer DStv to be included per unit with TV. It is not accessible to everyone to see Waterfalls. If you want to see Waterfalls it must be a group booking and it costs a farm's worth of money and then not for everyone to do that severe uphill mountain climbing. There is also no mobile phone signal and only take poison with you there are many insects and spiders. We were there from the 12/02/16 to 14/02/16 on the day of the 13/02/16 there was no power for the entire Kouga all day. The resort's managers didn't even bother to let them know there was going to be a power outage and didn't even make provision for guests who are extremely weak. Otherwise it was very pleasant so just take gas bottles with you etc. just to be prepared if power goes out looks like it could easily go out there. Luckily they have gas geysers so at least the water was hot all the time. Just be careful when you use the shower, one moment the water is boiling hot and then all of a sudden it's freezing cold.
Resting place for soul. It's just a shame that there isn't a fireplace in the house to hang out in front of in the evening.
Beautiful surroundings with abundant bird life. Clean and tidy facilities. Take it easy and relax. Ideal for getting away from it all.
