Rooms are fairly ok but the yard is not appealing and is clumsy. Also not all of us like pets/dogs and there are dogs moving around and at times, following us. While we understand that its not a 5 star but even their toilet papers could be better one than the basic one's offered. Infact, basic is an under statement. Otherwise, it was ok.
Will recommend Intaka to anyone. Business, vacation, sleepover stay.

We spent a night at Intaka Guest House en route to the Grahamstown Arts Festival. Superb service from the staff and host. Will gladly recommend to friends and family.

The place is clean and safe, the owner of the guest house was very friendly and helpful, we enjoyed our stay there and we are going to come back.

Realize our two rooms had to share a bathroom, but when you have to walk through a living room with people watching TV it's unacceptable. Also, the bathroom windows open into a room where people sit and eat/barbeque. No tables or bedside lamps in room. Staff lying on sofa in living room watching TV.

While I've no complaints at all about anywhere I've booked through LekkeSlaap, what put my stay at Intaka Guest House right at the top of my personal satisfaction list was the proprietor, Daan - the most accommodating host I've encountered to date. Daan takes a genuine interest in his guests and goes the extra mile to help them meet their individual needs and interests. He is also very knowledgeable about the unique character and history of KWT within the context of ZA over the past 30 years, and a congenial and convivial conversation with this insightful man is an opportunity not to be missed.
The rooms has been redone and is exceptionally neat and clean. This guesthouse is definitely value for money and the friendly and helpful reception is a bonus.
