It's a place where you can find yourself again - the view is lovely and the silence deafening. Everything was clean and tidy and we had a great time. We will definitely come again, but for a whole week and not just one night's sleepover! In winter, you will also be able to visit around the fireplace in the kitchen.

The cottages were well equipped and even for power outages there were some lights. The showers with hot water were lovely and we were short of blankets for bedtime. Had a great time.
The rooms were large and well-appointed. Aircons worked. The bathrooms are satisfactory. The kitchen had essentials but could use a nonstick frying pan, and medium-sized pot. Moka pot was very welcome, but missing its handle. We could have used a candle or two, or a better rechargeable light for loadshedding.

All right, just one mistake here and there, but we enjoyed it.
Cottages are well appointed and comfortable. Though it is on a working farm, we felt that a bit of effort could be made to tidy around the farm. Lots of "rubbish and broken stuff left around sheds and in the veld. Input from the owners was very interesting and appreciated.

Simple farmhouse, tastefully and authentically furnished, an oasis late afternoon after a long drive from Bredasdorp on the way to Pretoria. There are a few kilometers of dirt road on the way there and a slightly taller vehicle is needed to reach the cottage. Very clean, nice beds and bedding. Self-catering, sufficiently equipped for cooking or barbecuing. Our two Schnauzers really enjoyed the freedom. The temporary pool was lovely to cool off in. We would love to stay here again. Especially in this time of Covid there is no exposure to other people.
Many thanks to Nilene and Will for their exceptional hospitality and the permission to bring my 3 dog children. Don't know who enjoyed it more, us or the animals. House equipped with all the basic facilities, clean and tidy. The small splash pool was an added bonus on the hot days. Lovely walk around the farm in the Karoo eld which for the first time in a long time is starting to show green sprouts after the little rain they got. Will definitely incorporate another visit there in the future.
The most beautiful unit and so neat and well equipped. The stars in the evening are absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. If we could, we would have stayed another night.
The living area's porch definitely takes the cake. We couldn't use the nice fire pit. The wind was bad. The stoep and its braai area offer shelter from the wind. The views over the mountains are very beautiful. It is quiet and peaceful. Directions were very clear and we followed them easily. Will and his cute dogs came to greet us and made sure everything was ok. There is a plug on the porch, close enough to the cars. So we could keep the bakkie's fridge going. It was much appreciated. Only problem was that we didn't stay longer. Will stay at least 2 or 3 nights next time.

Unfortunately the gravel road leading to the farm had just been graded and the sharp slate rock slit one of our tyre; however, the owner (Nilene) was very kind and went out of her way to ensure that we got a spare tyre at Tyre Mart the following morning. Thank you! Nevertheless we had a very pleasant overnight stay at Ironstone Cottage while travelling down to the coast. The unit is spacious and cosy, with a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains!

We really enjoyed our time there - one bathroom was a bit of a struggle and the Wi-Fi would not work, but otherwise very enjoyable. The bathrooms were beautifully done.
We really enjoyed our time at Molweni cottage. The beds and bedding are great quality and the little house is tastefully furnished. The swimming pool is a great treat after our long trip on a really hot day. We will be back!
