The multi-storey lodge comprises 4 air-conditioned bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a guest toilet, a kitchen, and a lounge. Beautiful house with everything you need. Everything was clean and tidy. Pool is great for cooling down in the summer months along with the jacuzzi. Stunning property and location. The views are absolutely breathtaking.

Sanitation and water were a problem but the owners fixed it immediately. We really enjoyed the house for many people and a lot of space. The kitchen is well equipped too.

Tried to contact host on saterday. (Never replied) Bedding dirty. broken door. shower head broken,tiles broken. Place in need of maintance. hope this wont be on my acc as tried contacting host to inform her.
A very large modern spacious home that needs maintenance and attention to reach its full potential. We were 3 families with children between 5-11 years. The house is built in 3 levels so there are many stairs and may be unsafe for younger children and not ideal for older people. Unfortunately, it was stage 6 load shedding all weekend, which greatly affected the power and water supply. The swimming and braai area was very nicely decorated.
The house, view, and location are excellent. However, the lodge requires some general maintenance, such as changing light bulbs, fixing some of the room doors, and repairing light fittings. The owners should also consider updating the kitchen cutlery, the old ice machine, and the garage door motors. Overall, it is an amazing setup that just needs some tender loving care (TLC).
Lots of animals also came to the watering hole near the property during the day. Deposit was paid back promptly on request. There are lots of stairs and slippery tiles so may not be ideal for young kids and elderly people as other guests mentioned. The house needs some maintenance in general. Septic tank toilets need some attention and the lower staircase is loose. Bats have nested in the thatch in the rooms.
Couldn't get hold of the host unfortunately. Also, we still haven't gotten our breakage deposit back.
We had a great time, but one of the room's doors didn't close all the way and I was just worried about snakes getting into our room. There are a lot of stairs in the house so it gets tiring quickly. There are 4 bedrooms and an open space with many beds and it wasn't really very 'ideal' for families, because it separates everyone so it's not really suitable for families with young children under 10 years. The plates have 'chips' on them and there were not enough plates for 14 people, but the house sleeps 14. There were a few issues, but my family really enjoyed the holiday.
We saw a lot of wildlife at the house and had a great time with the beautiful view over the Mabalingwe reserve.
This house is built on the side of a hill and so the expansive views over the African bush of Mabalingwe is breath-taking. The house is very well equipped and has multiple social "zones". It is a also very quiet here by day and by night. It also has a view of a drinking hole that is on the neighbour's property and we watched animals coming to drink.
Roads very wet and in bad condition even for vans. Had to get help when we got stuck with our bakkie.
View was very nice! House just needs some general maintenance. Detail passed on to Lynette. Would have been better to clock out at 12:00 pm. Very short and rushed for 10:00 am.
The location is ideal and with the nearby waterhole it is not difficult to see elephants and many others regularly.
We were privileged to see the rhinos and elephants from the porch.
The situate of the house in Mabalingwe was great and convenient. The view from the entertainment area was superb.

This place was fantastic, but the house wasn't cleaned properly at all. It is too big for one cleaner.

It was really an incredibly beautiful place. The tranquility of the forest is just what one's soul needs. There were two waterholes right by us and we had seen rhinos by them for two days just like that from our balcony. I would really like to use the place again!
We had the luck of seeing the elephants closeup when they came to drink by our waterhole. The elephants were eating by the boma, pool side and right outside the bedrooms. It is a very lovely beautiful spacious house with a fully equipped kitchen and plenty living areas. We were 4 young couples. Had a great time! Not a lot of complaints but the outside lights on the 2 east wing bedrooms were not working, so it was hard to use the outside shower at night and the walkway to the bedrooms was very dark. Since there are no air-conditioners, the owner can opt to install window and door nets to make aerating the rooms easier.
Itaga View was a breath of fresh air I loved everything about it.
We had a great time! Will visit again for sure!

House rules
Housekeeping is available on request at an additional cost per service.Any breakages or damages due to negligence by the guests exceeding the breakage deposit will be for the guest's account.
Breakage deposits will be refunded 5-7 days after check-out. It is the guest’s responsibility to provide us with banking details for the refund.
Parties, as well as loud noise and disturbances after 22:00, are not allowed. During the day, music is allowed for your ears only.
A game drive vehicle is available on request with prior arrangement and is at an additional cost per day.
Rubbish to be kept in the lodge or bins provided, and rubbish will be removed when housekeeping services are booked.
Please refrain from moving furniture around except for pool loungers and folding chairs. This damages the deck.
Please place all crockery and cutlery in the lodge before retiring at night and before departing.
All doors and windows to be closed when not in residence.

Lodge keys are not allowed to be removed from the property and have to be locked in the key safe, even if you are going on a game drive.
