The host was very friendly, the amenities were sufficient for a one-night stay. It is close to shops and takeaways. Very convenient. The double bed, however, is exceptionally firm and uncomfortable. The pillows were great, and the floors were clean.

The below is what the advertisement says about the accommodation. It's Practical Holidays offers overnight accommodation in a little cottage located on the owner's property in Sandbaai, Hermanus. This unit can comfortably accommodate 3 guests and is furnished with a double bed and a single bed, and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, washbasin, and toilet. The kitchenette is equipped with a fridge, microwave, cutlery, and crockery, as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities. The unit has Wi-Fi but no TV. Our stay at the accommodation was not acceptable at all, because they should clearly stipulate that there are no cooking facilities or kitchen implements. The few days now cost us much more than we had expected. The owner was not there even once and on the last night of our stay we wanted to braai and then a hole broke in the braai. They were only helpful by giving us tiles to sit on for the time being. We would not recommend it to anyone. They need to specify their advertisement much more so that other holidaymakers do not fall into the same hole as us. I really hope this is taken up with the owners.

Worst experience yet. Facility by no means acceptable. Smells like the room was plastered the day before.

Booked for 2 nights but couldn't sleep another night there. Photos appear neat and clean, unfortunately very misleading. No fridge, even though they only mention a kettle. Why put out cartons of milk, as well as a braaier outside with a bench on which one cannot sit. Where do you store the leftover meat and side dishes? Bed broken. Two suitcases don't fit. One suitcase had to stay in the car. Papers are lying around where the car is parked. Shower clogged. Bedding doesn't smell good. Ventilation very poor, what to do if it is very hot? No WiFi code, as well as no Covid protocol is followed.
