The kitchen is fully equipped, featuring a combination fridge-freezer, a dishwasher, 2 stoves, and 2 ovens, one electric and the other gas. Guests can enjoy an open-plan lounge and dining area as well as a bar with a pool table. Other amenities include a private swimming pool at the private the braai area and lapa.

25 guests' feedbackGreat location in the bushveld. Great for walking or driving with lots of wildlife. The closest neighbour is out of sight and earshot, so it is very peaceful. We had kudu right outside our cottage, a family of squirrels, baboons, and loads of different birds. There is little to no cellphone reception, but it was kind of nice to be unreachable.
We had an amazing stay and felt we chose the perfect place on the game farm. The peace and tranquility were absolutely incredible. Our dogs had an amazing time too, exploring the nearby bush and being absolutely fascinated by the squirrels in the nearby tree. We were lucky enough to spot a nagapie (bush baby) and many other wildlife species. On our way out, we had the pleasure of spotting a porcupine. I will just advise guests to remember to pack Tabard as the pepper ticks are quite rife. Thank you for a great stay, and your staff is amazing!
Neat, clean and value for money.
A must for everyone that wants to experience the tranquillity and silence of the African bush in a luxury convenient setting. Do need a high clearance vehicle for the last 20 km to the reserve.
Very beautiful house and spacious. It's super clean. But the road is not nice at all. I think a bit of roadwork is advisable.
Ideal place to have a wonderful rest and do what you want without being bothered and disturbed.
Freedom of movement, the wonderful nature and beautiful rock formations on this piece of paradise attracted us to Izintaba for a second time. The wildlife viewing was good. Although we had a comfortable stay, one feels that Duiker cottage needs a good upgrade with good furniture on the porch and in the boma. The check-in and check-out times are a little late at 15:00 and early at 9:00. But we hope to venture out again on Izintaba.
Would have liked to stay longer.
It was wonderful to be in nature like this and hear no other sounds except those of nature. The rondavel is beautifully furnished and has everything you could possibly need. There are sandy roads and it's quite a challenge with an MBT! We would recommend it for sure.
Izinitaba is a beautiful reserve with so much to see. The bird life is amazing and we were lucky to see some we have never seen before. The house is so private and quiet that you truly get to rest from everyday life. Please do not get a tv! Our kids didn’t even realise there wasn’t one. Best time had by all. My only complaint/concern was that our upstairs room was infested with moths and no one was able to sleep there. I am aware it’s nature and you are in the bush. The linen on this bed was also damp and smelly. However, it was a minor issue. The stay was fantastic and the wildlife amazing. We sat at the dam and were amazed to see so many antelope come down. Sunset rock is so beautiful it’s like looking at a piece of heaven. We will definitely be back and will be recommending family and friends to come.
Unit was clean. Space to roam on the farm. Game was very tame. Friendly and helpful service. Please don't go, so we can have more space to book.

The ten of us enjoyed our stay, privacy and tranquility. It's a beautiful place. There is no network coverage in the houses maybe a walkie-talkie communication system could help in cases of emergency to communicate with the manager.
Everything tops: accommodation, wildlife, privacy and quiet.
We could walk, cycle, picnic, braai and swim. Too tasty.
The houses are clean inside but the gas stove is too close to the freezer. The roads inside are almost impassable for a 4x2 powered vehicle. If the ground clearance on regular 4x2 vehicles is low, they will get damage to the bottom of the vehicles. We struggled with a 4x2 with quite a bit of ground clearance and had to dig ourselves out of sand twice. There is plenty of wildlife and fields are beautifully green. Great to walk in at any time of day or night.
Well-equipped and stylish thatched chalet (Duiker) with no other people in sight: only field, birds and animals. An experience for the soul! No TV, shops and Malls nearby. Cell phones were packed away and only used to take pictures. We prefer it that way. Be well prepared with necessary provisions. Our two dogs cooled off in the pond. Pool lovely and clean. Sunset Rock is a must for sunrises and sunsets. Walking and cycling routes clearly marked. There was no need to look for cycling routes elsewhere. Roads are also well maintained. Andrew and Nikki are two exceptional, hospitable owners who love the field themselves. Our family will definitely visit Izintaba again and stay in Duiker. Thank you very much.
The reserve only has solar power. No hair dryers allowed, no TV, no internet. This is fine for a bush experience, but it rained the whole time we were there and we sat in the dark during the day time, as we were told to use as little power as possible (i.e. in case there was not enough power for the fridge etc.). The cottage is spacious and well equipped, but in need of renewal. Tatty furniture, broken glass table etc. At no time did we meet the owners, but the receptionist was welcoming and professional. We left a day early. Obviously not the establishment's fault that it was raining, but there is no back-up plan in case of adverse weather.
Because it was a quiet weekend, we were without knowing about it upgraded to a 6 bed instead of a 4 bed which we expected. Thanks for the good service Annah! It was lovely and quiet! The natural surroundings are beautiful with enough game in the area. We had our own swimming pool at Kudu chalet and I can't wait to visit again. A weekend is just too short.
My wife and I stayed in the Zebra house that was more than spacious. Everything was good and more than expected. The shower was hot and lovely. We were able to drive around as we liked, the sundowner deck worked wonderfully and it was an exceptional experience in every way. There was nothing short. If a recommendation could be made to make this experience even better it would be that a bag of wood and firelighters be put at every braai and it can then be included in the price.
We were only there one night, but were greeted friendly and individually by the owners. The directions were pretty good although Google maps misled us. You have to drive a long way to get to the entrance. The view around the sunset deck was special. Our house was neat and functional. The kids loved the upstairs loft beds. The unit was a bit close to its neighbours. The pool was really special. My daughters enjoyed swimming while bats drank water with them and a little frog croaked in a squeaky little voice.
It was very nice, peaceful and quiet. Forgetting the world and having a very great bush experience that is full of peace. Really had an amazing time going for a game drive and seeing a lot of animals. The place itself is out of this world.
The Duiker rondavel is beautifully situated, and very private, the food prepared for us was top notch. We enjoyed being able to go jogging and cycling and saw a lot of wildlife. I would definitely be able to recommend Izintaba.

Please be aware that the last 18 km of the dirt road to the farm is in poor condition, so please drive carefully and allow for some extra travel time on this road. A 4x4 vehicle is not necessary, but some ground clearance is recommended.
