Everything you need for your overnight stay. The rest of the time they walk around on rooftops. Can have a good barbecue and do everything they do at home. Staff are friendly and very helpful, especially after hours in and out. Thank you.

This is a typical backpacker, but definitely one of the better ones. The TV room with DStv is a big plus for sports enthusiasts.
Octavia welcomed us with the biggest smile that made her eyes sparkle. It was very quiet and we could hear nature. Everyone was friendly and we enjoyed chatting with other visitors.

It was breathtaking and definitely unique for a married couple. All friendly staff and they look after the place very well really down to the owner Eddie I think that makes it so nice. Oh yes, how can I forget the friendly drivers and her 2 helpers, beautiful boys and very spontaneous.

We were allowed to move to accommodation nearer to the braai area. The kitchen is well equipped. Reception assisted to sort out some of my private business matters.
The pixie and fairy garden is amazing. Bedding was clean. Facilities is great. Everything is there. Bathrooms and tent outside area a bit shabby. But great stay none the less.

The outdoor shower was not on for me, it happened to be cold while we stayed there and raining so it was not a pleasant experience, otherwise enjoyed the stay.
Seems a bit neglected, couldn't find any teaspoons. A pot of oil was left on the floor in kitchen and anybody could fall over it. No pool as photo showed on website. Enjoyed the 1 night stay anyway, as I am an easy person.
Unfortunately, it was a big disappointment to spend the night here. The kitchen is not well equipped at all. Our group had to go and buy glasses because there weren't even any. There weren't even mugs for coffee or knives and forks. The bathrooms were extremely dirty. Some of the drivers were hanging out until midnight hours and were so drunk and noisy. It was so disturbing and they made the whole bathroom dirty because someone got nauseous. More than that, all the bedding was dirty. We can't even sleep under the blankets. In one of our tents, mice climbed out of the pillow when we put our head down on the pillow. I've stayed in a few backpackers, but this one was nowhere near standard. And for the price we paid per person I would at least expect a clean bed, tent, knife and fork or pot. It was a really negative experience. stay away

This is a very good accommodation option if a person only needs a place to sleep for one night. Very good facilities.
We chose the Backpackers because Dana Snyman's second Black Dog concert was presented there and it was convenient and affordable to just stay at the same place. It's not a place that offers luxury accommodation, but it's clean and affordable and it has character. The nooks and crannies on the site, the cozy garden and Pixie's hospitality made it a special stay. Also make sure you visit the fairy garden on site!

We really enjoyed our stay.
Communal kitchen is not kept tidy by residents. There doesn't seem to be any staff doing this either. Price for the room(s) per night does not justify the facilities available - no private bathroom. Communal bathroom is not kept clean, again, residents are responsible and most do not pay attention to notices. One night I had to ask the staff myself to turn down their music (doof-doof) so that we could rest (after 9 pm).
It's a place that I'll visit again and again.

Altavia was amazing, she welcomed us and showed us around, the grounds were well taken care of and facilities were looked after, the "houses" were indeed very warm but it was a hot day, if you just have to sleep there there are no complaints. We will definitely come back again with more friends to spend a weekend there!

The music at night made for little sleep and the facilities were rather dirty. There was also no one available to receive us upon arrival. However, Jacobsbaai is a nice place. I will stay in a guest house next time.

Extremely disappointed with service - the lady didn't know about our booking, but at least helped after I showed her the confirmation via LekkeSlaap. The price is totally unrelated to what is on offer, similar backpackers at Elandsbaai charge R150 per night! The bathroom was originally clean and tidy until I saw the cat using it as a toilet without anyone cleaning and disinfecting it! The fitted sheet of the bed was also dirty and full of soil, clearly not made up and the linen not replaced! Sorry, but I'm laying it at management's door! As said, the place has a lot of potential.
