27 guests' feedbackThis property offered excellent value for money. In particular, it has a spacious fenced garden suitable for dogs. Our dogs were very comfortable in this property. We were also very comfortable for our two-night stay. The kitchen was well-equipped with a generous supply of cups and mugs, etc. We enjoyed the sea view from the garden and walking to the lovely beach. The property is in a quiet street only a few blocks from the main road and the beach. It is well situated. The host was also very helpful and friendly. Although the WiFi connection was slow or had a weak signal, this wasn't a big issue for us because we weren't using it for work, and there was a strong MTN and Vodacom mobile data signal. Overall, we loved this property and thought it was perfect for our needs. Thanks so much for hosting us. We hope to see you again in the future and will recommend your accommodation to others.
Our stay at Jacobs Cottage by the Ocean was awesome. Everything you need in the kitchen is there. The entire cottage is clean and tidy, with a safe yard for animals and children. Owners are very friendly and hospitable, with a beautiful sea view. We will definitely vacation there again.
It's exactly the place you need if you just want to get away, breathe and find yourself again. It's affordable with everything you need and the silence with only the sound of the sea is fantastic. Very friendly hosts and clean place.
We had a great stay at Jacobs Cottage. Owners were very friendly and could also take my Yorkie Bella with them. It's nice and close to beautiful and clean beaches that our boys really enjoyed. There are also nice places to eat that are "pet friendly" in the area.
Definitely, big cottage, sea view, private and safe. My dogs also enjoyed their stay a lot. We all felt very welcome and even decided to extend our stay. I would definitely recommend this place, especially if you want to take your pets with. Two of my favourite things were the full DSTV and aircon. We also had WiFi.
Lovely cottage with a nice garden. Very comfortable. My only suggestion would be a gas stove for load shedding. Crossing the road was a bit stressful during rush hour.
Our hosts Des and Helena are amazing. Kind, friendly and helpful. The cottage had everything we needed for a most enjoyable stay. It is within walking distance of a beautiful beach, local pub and convenience store. . Would absolutely recommend this cottage!
Comfortable and cosy.
Two adults, two children and two little brats really enjoyed the cozy house! Helena and Des' place is good value for money and is recommended!
Close to beach for enjoyable walks with pet. Hosts were welcoming, but not intrusive. Self-catering accommodation was well equipped, you just need to bring your own food. We enjoyed Sukkot 2021 celebrations.

Helena and Des are fantastic people! Their service is great! Will book their cottage again anytime. Recommend them if you are tired of the hustle and bustle of bigger coastal towns.
The apartment is a self-catering unit. It is not modern, but has everything you need for self-catering. The apartment is neat and clean and located in a garden where you can sit and barbecue and look at the sea. You are walking distance to a nice beach for fishing and swimming. The owners Des and Helena are very involved and are always there to see that you are happy. it is a very nice place to discover the coastline and very affordable.

Very friendly owners, helpful and the place was well equipped, everything you need is there, very close to the beach, with a sea view. Could see whale the one day. Wish we could stay longer.
The welcome was very comfortable. It's a matter of, just take your clothes with you on holiday. The unit is fully equipped (except food of course). Helene and Des are wonderful people, always there if you need anything. The mere fact that it is also animal friendly made our pet enjoy the yard space. The beach is about an 8-minute walk away, where there is a cozy dining area where you can sit on the upper deck and enjoy a cocktail. But overall the stay was amazing.

Our first break for 2020 and we enjoyed just being able to kick back and relax, the facility was great but is a bit further from the beach than we would have liked. This did not stop us from enjoying a great break away from home.
Hands on hosts which take proper care of their units. Air con was a pleasure. Everything you expect as a seasoned traveller. Hosts are friendly and open, at the same time they respect your privacy. Will recommend to any respectful travellers.
It felt like a home away from home. Helen is very helpful and friendly. We could take a puppy with us and that was a big plus for us. I gladly recommend it.

Jacobs Cottage by the Ocean is very conveniently located. We were part of a family reunion and were a party of 4 of a much bigger group. It was nice and close to the beach as well as a little shop and pub. It is also not too far from Shelley Beach to the one side and Hibberdene on the other side, both approx. 10 min. drive. It has a good view of the sea.
We were warmly welcomed. The place is neat and clean. Our hostess was friendly at all times and always asked if we needed anything. I would recommend the place to anyone because we had a great time. Will go again anytime.
We enjoyed it very much and will make use of it again.
Good value for money. Garden gate needs proper locking method and lighting at the braai area. Furthermore very pleasant, greeted kindly and asked ahead of time what time our arrival was. Efforts were made about us before arrival time to accommodate us. Double bed room has nice space and everything was nice and clean. Will stay there again, beautiful view of the sea.
