18 guests' feedbackHad a lovely stay in the large restored farmhouse by myself. Hennie made an effort to explain everything to me and I appreciated everything incredibly. Everything was polished and spotless. The overview of the history of the area and Makkedas (the locomotive that ran between Laingsburg and Ladismith in those years) was enriching. Unfortunately I could only stay one night. Next time I'll bring the family. Got a free bag of wood for barbecuing and apricot jam.
Love the history of the house and the tasteful decoration. Beautiful walks and interesting fauna and flora of the Karoo.
It was exactly what we needed. It was awesome!
A last minute booking as we were looking for a spot about halfway between Cape Town and Cape St Francis and were very, very pleasantly surprised. A real old Karoo farmhouse located a couple of kilometers off Route 62. Warmly welcomed by the hosts and the house is spotlessly clean. Will stay longer next time.
Loved the old farmhouse and the time to just be and appreciate the natural beauty of the Karoo. The beautiful wildflowers in bloom and we had a lovely walk to the river. The indoor fireplace in the kitchen was well used by us as it was August and chilly at night. Definitely a place to go to get away from everything.
We enjoyed being in the Klein Karoo and had a spectacular sunset and free game drive. The house was very well appointed and spotlessly clean. The complimentary bottle of apricot jam was appreciated, as were the chocolates, hot chocolate drink, coffee, and tea, to name a few. A very informative brochure and warm and friendly hosts.
Lovely old farmhouse with everything you need. Wonderful host and wife. The break away was a real pleasure for the soul.
The tranquility of self. The Klein Karoo at its best and the host and hostess go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Everything you need has been thought of and provided. Thank you again!
It's so dark there, you have to make sure your eyes are open when you wake up at night. Maybe just put a roof on the whole back in the future. Otherwise a special place.
Very tidy, wonderful hospitality and everything you need for a break. Unit has been beautifully restored.
Lovely historical house. Friendly and welcoming hosts. Thank you, Hennie and Olene, for going out of your way to make our short stay special. We would love to come back to spend more time at Jacomanzi.
The Jouberts are very helpful and friendly. The house is beautiful, neat and stylish.
The house is spacious and has everything we needed. The farm has wonderful walking and tranquility to switch off in nature.
Two bedroom house, spacious and very clean. It was lovely prepared for us and the hosts are amazing. We were there in winter and it was super cold. In the kitchen is a big fireplace that kept us warm, but we rearranged the furniture to make it cosier to have a sofa in front of the fireplace. We loved the sunny stoep (veranda) with morning sun in the front of the house and took a table out to have breakfast there. There is no shower in the house and you need to take a bath to clean yourselves which is a nice change for city people. The surrounding mountains are stunning and there is plenty to do around the house. We hiked up a mountain of the owner's farm and explored beautiful flowers and dry river beds. It was a nice stay for the couple of days we had in the Karoo. Great hosts with huge caring hearts. The WiFi signal is very weak and works the best in the toilet. It is not ideal to use the house as an online working house. But it was enough network to check our emails and social media once in a while.
Dit was my man se 50ste en hulle het regtig die extra myl gegaan. 'n Paar ektras wat ons nie verwag het nie. Sal dit regtig aanbeveel.
If you are in the area, enjoy the hospitality of the owners, silence and tranquility of the Karoo. Splash pool is a bonus.
A lot of effort is made to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
Very quiet and nice places to explore - either on foot or by vehicle.
