8 guests' feedbackI visited Jagersberg alone for 2 nights. Just wanted the peace and quiet. However, the host, Donald, is very willing to take people with him on all farm activities. I also bought a delicious Karoo lamb there and the braai facilities are plentiful.
No electricity but improves the peace and quiet, very hospitable and pretty.
We were very well welcomed and great effort was made to make us as comfortable as possible. The cottage is old and simple, but it's idyllic and the whole family enjoyed enjoying the evening around the lamp oil light with the fireplace burning. The farm is open for hiking and many other activities are available if more time is available.
Me and my 2 Scotties had an amazing stay. Even though there is no electricity, the house is very comfortable and fully equipped and very tidy. We were charmed by stone heads and quiver trees and could spend every evening in the Bushmanland quietly on the stoep under the clear starry sky. I definitely recommend Jagersberg!
We needed overnight accommodation on the way back from Clanwilliam to Johannesburg. So Carnarvon was a good decision, but we didn't realize that the accommodation was about an hour's drive from Carnarvon, our route was then extended by 2 hours. The accommodation itself is good. Very neat and has everything you need. Unfortunately we arrived there in the dark and then left again. It looks like a very nice farm and if you can find peace there.
Very pleasant in a peaceful environment. Good value for money with a very helpful and friendly host and wife. Will stay there again anytime if it's on my way.
The accommodation is clean and tidy. With the lovely farm atmosphere, I just wanted to go back to my childhood.
Our hosts were warm and hospitable. They went out of their way to make our stay interesting and comfortable. The farm is off the beaten track but well worth a visit for its unique location. The cottage is neat as a pin with great attention to detail. We wish that we could have stayed longer.
