21 guests' feedbackLovely stay with all the facilities available and a beautiful location. Close to many wine farms in the Robertson wine route.
Great stay in a well-equipped and cosy cottage. Beautiful sunset views from the stoep and a lovely indoor fireplace with plenty of wood provided were the highlights. Thys was very friendly and helpful.
It was an awesome experience. Peaceful and relaxing. Beautiful setting. The manager was very helpful and accommodating.
What an amazing place. Thank you for a wonderful stay in such a beautiful part of our country!
Very nice, it's peaceful and beautiful.
We had a great stay and will visit again!
We had an amazing time at Jan Hoppie. A beautiful scenic area.
Nice stay. Will see you again.
Stunning views, and was pleasantly surprised with the two crates of wood, blitz, 2 x 5 L waters. We also received a great welcome and follow up from Thys. We will definitely be back.
Wonderful, quiet place with beautiful views. Very nice wood and even a dongle to be able to watch the rugby made our weekend an absolute pleasure - highly recommended!
All good very nice area.
Very convenient and comfortable, thank you very much!
The views are amazing, the environment is so safe, will definitely be going back.
Thys was incredibly welcoming and helpful. It was a hot weekend and he showed us a good fishing spot by the river where we went swimming and had a picnic on the neighbouring farm. The house was super clean and the beds were extremely comfortable! Braaing in front of an awesome view was a big plus! The house is kitted out with some really thoughtful touches, which we really appreciated, so thank you from all of us for a wonderful stay!
Jan Hoppie came with excellent customer service from Thys, a stunning location and the cosy house had everything we needed. 5 star service, 5 star location, 5 star enjoyment!
Bonnievale is the most beautiful valley for a weekend, not too far from the city. Jan Hoppie is well equipped for a family with small children. If you just want to relax and do as little as possible, this is just the place.
Beautiful, comfortable restored folk house among the vineyards with a view over the Breede River valley and the Langeberg for which one actually has to pay a lot more. Jan Hoppie is ideal for a weekend or longer, excellently equipped and has everything you need, including braai wood and a bottle of wine in the fridge. The owners, Thys and Janie Wentzel, are hospitality itself. We had a wonderful stay on the farm, dead quiet, except for the sounds of the field.
Friendly owners with passion to please and making you feel at home. Great swim in farm dam and a view from the big stoep to die for. Good beds and linen with all necessities for a self-catering stay. Big bag of wood to braai was highly appreciated. Make provision for flies. It is a working farm with a beautiful herd of milking cows nearby house.
Both Thys and Janie Wentzel were very friendly and helpful. There was a welcome on the blackboard at the entrance to the house and a delicious bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon from Bonnievale Cellars on the table for our use. There was even fireplace/barbecue wood with lighters and matches! The view from there over the Bree River valley is very beautiful. Thank you again for a lovely long weekend.
Jan Hoppie was a quiet and peaceful place to stay from which we could explore the surrounding villages. The area is beautiful and the farm owner friendly and helpful.
