Each of the units has a kitchen that is equipped with a microwave, as well as tea-and-coffee-making facilities. All of the units also equipped with TV with Hotel Bouquet DStv. Some of the units have outdoor patios, and braai facilities.
All units, with the exception of Cottage 1, 2 & 11, have parking on our premises. In most cases, we can also make plans for the latter, but in exceptional cases where it is not possible, we have a guard overlooking the cars in the street.
Jetty Self-Catering is within a short walk of various restaurants, shops, the main beach and the aquarium.

Best choice! Even more expensive options would not have made us as happy. This is the nostalgic architecture that needs to be preserved and that attracts tourists.
Was very nice close to the sea at a lawn to go for a walk and play with the dog.
We only checked in at Jetty Self-Catering at 21:00 due to a very bad road between Solitaire and Walvis Bay. Mark was at his post to receive us. Our room was very well equipped and we received consistently excellent service. The sea and promenade are literally just across the street. We would definitely stay at Jetty Self-Catering again.

What a wonderful place to call home. To be able to get up every morning and walk to the sea and hear the waves in the evenings. Everything one needs is there for a relaxed self-catering stay. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. This is definitely where we will stay from now on when we visit Swakop.

Jetty's is not only on the sea, but it is close to the town so it is easy to explore the town from here. We stayed in Cottage 5, which did not have a sea view, but the unit was very nice, tidy and spacious. We were traveling with a small baby and could not be in Swakopmund until late in the evening, but Mark had prepared a 'camping cot' and did not mind that we arrived later in the evening.
Mark and Karin are a great couple and accommodated us with a larger flat when our daughter joined us at a minimum extra charge. We were extremely comfortable and right at the sea and not far from the centre of town. Meidie and Memory, the 2 ladies who cleaned up behind, and cheerful and filled any requests we had with broad smiles, efficiency and helpfulness. We will recommend Jetties any time.

I have to mention it unfortunately. I used to be there in number 1. Very nice. Now I was in number 4 and the mattress was really very old and uncomfortable. Then I struggled for almost half an hour to find someone to unlock. The previous year the people were there immediately.
Only negative is the parking. The bays are not numbered and we had somebody complaining we had parked in their bay and had to move our car. Not a major but maybe something to look into for future.

The Jetty Self-Catering is in the perfect position to enjoy Swakopmund. Close to the beach (over the road) and to top restaurants like the Jetty Restaurant which you shouldn't miss. It's even a brisk stroll to town and shops. The rooms were clean and pretty, one fault was cupboard space which is inconvenient in unit 12. There is one antique cupboard with minimal space. The bathroom has no storage or shelf space for cosmetics and toiletries and the shower pressure is very weak, which may be for water saving. Bath towels are like hand towels - much too small. There is no bath. I was worried about the very nice night security guard, who has an outside room which is insufficient. It is uninhabitable and should be fixed up. We enjoyed our time there immensely despite the niggles.
The apartment's location is great! Our apartment was clean and spacious and a glass of wine on the balcony with a view of the jetty and sunset is the best way to end each day of travel.
The parking is too little. Someone caught us at night when we had to leave early the next morning with 4 vehicles.
We were at Jetty Self-Catering for just one night. Everything was pretty neat and had everything we needed.
1. TV screen is mounted above the bathroom door which gives any viewer a stiff neck. 2. Toilet roll is placed too far away from the user. 3. No shelf is available to store toothbrush, glass etc. to put up in the bathroom. 4. Electrical wires are attached to the wall very sloppily. 5. The mirror at the entrance on the right is too high. 6. Shower curtain should be replaced with glass doors to avoid it sticking to people.
It was tidy and clean and provided for all your needs.
Cottage 19 was a dream to stay in. Beautiful large rooms, wooden floors, crisp bedding, clean, perfect location - you couldn't want to be closer to the sea. Open the windows and balcony door and you can hear the sea in your cozy big bed. It was a pit stop for us, but I wouldn't mind staying there longer in the future.
