The Lodge features 3 luxurious en-suite bedrooms with king size beds (one of these bedrooms also has a single bed). The fourth bedroom has a queen size bed and an adjoining shower and hand basin. The spacious open plan kitchen, dining room and lounge creates a convivial, social atmosphere for family and friends. The kitchen area is equipped with a fridge-freezer combination, dishwasher, microwave and electric oven with a gas hob. Unwind with a refreshing drink on the wooden deck overlooking the dam and the endless bush beyond. Additional facilities include a braai area, a splash pool, TV with selected channels, and a fireplace.
The Stone Lodge unit is protected by an electrified palisade fence with secure parking on the premises. Game drives can be arranged. The bird life is plentiful. There are a number of restaurants and bars in the area. Note that there is limited cell phone reception.

We had a wonderful stay. It was a family getaway and the setting of the place is suitable for young and old.
This was a pleasant discovery. Will definitely go again. Service was excellent and we lacked nothing.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jimmy's The deck, pool and stunning kitchen ensured that we had two days of rest and fun in the sun. The pool is too small to accommodate more than 6 people, but we had the best time regardless. Also the drive there is pleasant and a real treat just an hour away from home. The rooms were the only major pain point - for a 4 star establishment, no aircon, only a ceiling fan that barely worked, and the one bedroom had a bathroom with no windows, and no ventilator which added to the humidity of the room. Also we were disappointed that the DStv as not working as we wanted to watch the rugby and were not advised that this was not working. We were also rushed out on the day of check out with the cleaner showing up at 8 while we where enjoying our last breakfast and packing up the last odds and ends. But it was the perfect spot to unwind and welcome in 2021. A big thank you to Gareth and team for the warm welcome and being super helpful during our stay.
Jimmy's Place exceeded our expectations. It's luxurious and neat and well appointed for a group. We had a great time barbecuing, swimming, fishing and enjoying the wildlife from the deck between the will rides.
Dinokeng is a beautiful environment, the Bosveld close to Pretoria. The house is large and comfortable and is well furnished. The hangout that overlooks the dam is a bonus and the management and employees are very nice and helpful.
It was a very pleasant weekend. Gareth was a great host. Everything was in very good condition and luxurious. Very calm and relaxed.
I would highly recommend Jimmys Place - Stone Cottage. The house is excellently located and unlike many other places to stay very well maintained, everything works and is in good condition. Gareth, the manager, is also fantastic and will go out of his way to make things easy for you and provide good advice. It's also very nice to find yourself in a Big 5 reserve in the bushveld after a 1.5 hour drive from Johannesburg. Thank you very much, we will definitely visit the place again. All that may still be missing is air conditioning as it can get incredibly hot.
Huge open plan accommodation with three large bedrooms all en suite. Wonderful patio overlooking the dam. Elephants, hippo, crocodile seen from the comfortable dam patio.
