The living area opens onto the deck with Weber braai facilities, and views over the fynbos, forest and mountains.

7 guests' feedbackWe booked for a 3-night stop on our Garden Route honeymoon trip for a chance to relax and enjoy the forest. It was the perfect stay, beautiful location and all of the amenities one needs!
Loved it The place was nice and clean at a great location. It would be nice to have a map next time though. Struggled to find the cottage as the sign is faded.
The directions and the signage of Jispa Cottage could be very much better, there was no indication of where it was and the name board was obscured by vegetation which did not help. Once found it was pleasant enough. The bathroom with the outside shower was a bit of a shock, but at least the water was hot. The two doors from both bedrooms leading into the bathroom were a bit odd, but we overcame that and had a lovely stay there and found wonderful places, including the Donkey Sanctuary and Bird place.

We had a lovely stay at Jispa during December. This was our second stay so we already knew what a gem the place is. The cottage is well-kitted out and the location is quiet. Waking up to the sounds and sights of the forest is really special, not to mention the outdoor shower. The whole place is set up to enjoy the natural surroundings, which adds to the tranquility. The cottage does however require the owner to go through to check appliances and amenities. The bed's mattress was worn through a year ago and even worse so now, which impacts sleep and rest. The bottom grid of the Weber braai is missing making it difficult to get sufficient heat to braai. We were welcomed by Jo this year and she was a really good and attentive host. All things considered, we enjoyed our stay and will be back.
Lovely and quiet and the outside shower is awesome.
If you like seclusion in the woods, this is a lovely peaceful getaway. Beautiful inside, beds sleep great.

Jispa Cottage is 5 km down a gravel road so you will need to bring all you need although you can buy most of what you need in The Crags or at Nature’s Way Farms.Please treat the cottage with respect and maintain the peace of the area.
You would need to provide your own drinking water - 5L is provided on arrival.
