Lovely, clean, tidy and very comfortable.
Very quiet area, conveniently located. Only complaint is that the room was full of flying ants on arrival. Also very beautiful.
Very friendly and accommodating owners. There is a beautiful farm style pool and a well-maintained green lawn, which is not shown in their pictures. I camped with my 2 dogs and felt very welcome. Perfect location for a rest between JHB & CPT.

We have stayed at Joalani's place at least 8 times. The room is comfortable and tidy. Delicious dinner and breakfast and incredible variety of bird life is always a bonus.
Peaceful surroundings and friendly hostess and staff. Very nice dinner.
Highly recommended. Mare and her daughter spoiled us with barbecue sandwiches, chops, sausage, chicken satays and a pasta salad for our barbecue. The room is beautifully clean and there is a common TV room and kitchen. The pub operates on an honesty basis. Take your drink and write it down in the book. Had a great time.
And I will stay again if I go to the Cape again.

Made to feel welcome on arrival. Large comfortable room, all very clean. Double bed with electric blankets, excellent matrass. We ordered supper when booking, had delicious three course dinner made with locally sourced meat and vegs. Good breakfast the next morning. Recommend as an excellent overnight stop.

I have stayed at Joalani before. It is convenient as an overnight stop from Gauteng to Cape Town, as you then have a slightly shorter trip on the second day.
Extra dishes such as salad bowl, bowl for barbecue etc. may be considered.

Very friendly, genuine Karoo hospitality! Quiet farm atmosphere and right next to the N1. We can definitely recommend Joalani Guest House.
I arranged with the owner for 2 units for 4 adults and 1 toddler - however, they put us all together in 1 self-catering unit, but there were no crockery and cutlery - except mugs and teaspoons - in the unit! How can you have dinner, in a self-catering unit, without knives, forks, and plates?
Far from nearest eatery.
We were a group of 4 adults, 3 children, 3 small dogs, 3 tow vehicles and 3 trailers and stayed overnight in 2 chalets. Joalani was willing to accommodate us. Joalani is located close to the N1, but was far enough that the traffic didn't bother us at all. We found Joalani very comfortable with plenty of room to turn with the vehicles and trailers without having to unhook or struggle forwards and backwards. The chalets were equipped as advertised with beds and mattresses which ensured a pleasant night's rest before another long shift the next day. In midsummer the chalets can get very hot, but the fans in the rooms make it much more bearable. The swimming pool on site is also lovely to cool off in.
There were 2 vegans traveling with us and at their request Mare made them the delicious vegan butternut squash dish, and then at their request also another salad and barbecue sandwiches. Our barbecue packs with real genuine Karoo lamb, barbecue buns, potato AND beetroot salad were unsurpassed! Their barbecue sandwiches are some of the best ever! We really felt at home - great service and hospitality - can recommend them with confidence.
The ants came out late afternoon and we were bitten, so we came into the room. We had anticipated walking for an hour but the ants said “no”!

Great people who provide neat accommodation that will go the extra mile. We didn't book ahead of time for dinner, but our hostess was kind enough to say she would be able to entertain us. Food was off the books. We would definitely recommend the place.

We received a friendly welcome, the facilities are clean, no problems with hot water and there are extra products available if you forgot something. The location is perfect, about 100 meters from the N1! We would stay there again anytime. Fantastic service!

We were received very kindly and were very satisfied with our room and the facilities. We ordered dinner from Joalani and had an absolutely delicious meal. Something we would like to bring to their attention is the noises made by the "geyser" or the thorn tree branches on the roof. The wind was blowing quite strongly and the strange noises bothered us all night.

My room didn't have an en-suite bathroom, but the communal bathroom was beautifully neat, even though it was a little walk from the room. Where to begin? Arriving at Joalani Guest Farm we were welcomed with a warm smile and the most unforgettable scenery. We stayed in the budget chalet and it suited our needs perfectly! A frigde, fan and doom to make our stay even more convenient. The braai pack is definitely recommendable and great value for money - it includes wood and fire lighters. We had a wonderful night under the stars with wine and meat to die for. Perfect place to stay over if you are travelling on the N1 highway. We swopped the budget room for a room with a bathroom (at an additional cost of course). The reason is that the ablution block is way too far from the budget room and that wasn't communicated clearly. The reception was friendly and good.
We arrived late but our host was very friendly. The room was ready and very neat. Only problem was that the kettle's cord could not reach the plug when it stands on the fridge. It is a bit uncomfortable to work on the ground.

We arranged with Joalani that we would arrive earlier and it was okay with them, but when we got there the management was not there and they didn't arrange anything with the staff. We waited in the heat for an hour and no one came! Then drove back to Three Sisters for food hoping that when we arrived someone would be there. We then had to wait for an hour. The staff member just put us in a room. No air conditioning. At least the room was tidy. The pool is grass green which is probably the cause of all the mosquitoes. We only rested for two hours and started the road to Bloemfontein with two babies. We paid the full amount but honestly feel we shouldn't have. Would not recommend or use the place again.
It is a great overnight facility, with nice ice cold beer, especially if one is tired from driving. Breakfast was very nice and you saw a chance again for the rest of the road.

The destination is close to the highway and easily accessible. The unit was clean and tidy and the facilities comfortable. I felt welcome, as if I was visiting the farm. Delicious coffee and biscuits awaited me after a long day in the car. They met me at late hours and very kindly called me before dawn, just to follow up if I was rested and enjoyed my stay. The reception was very warm although there was a misunderstanding on my part, the owner realized it quickly and handled the situation very professionally.
I feel the R160 we paid for two very small dinners is excessive. So is the price of R60 for breakfast. It's way too expensive.
