Apartment occupies full second floor in residential house which is also rented out. Owners, Joan and Gideon, are in the house across the street where a delicious breakfast is served (optional). The apartment is very close to Port Owen restaurants and boat launch.
It was a home away from home. Everything neat and beautiful. More than enough that was needed. Hostess and host were extremely helpful and willing to answer questions at any time of the day. Would definitely recommend Joan's Place and stay there again.

If you want to spend the night in Veldrif, you don't have to look any further than the place. Well equipped and within walking distance of many good restaurants. The host and hostess are warm and make it very comfortable for guests.

We rented both units for the weekend - with 6 adults, and it was comfortable and cozy without feeling cramped - the house is very clean and tidy and we would definitely recommend it for a getaway.

It is in a very secure area. Not once did we worry about safety. It is a quiet neighbourhood with friendly people. The shops aren't too far out of the way.

The indoor braai is a highlight, was fully utilized with the cold weather. All that was wrong, the shower pressure is not very strong, maybe something they can look into. The accommodation has more than ample space, privacy and is sunny with a view and comfortable. There is ample lighting for guests arriving late which is great. The stairs may be a problem with guests having certain health/disability problems requiring assistance. Joan serves a super breakfast and goes out of her way to help and assist wherever possible.
