Rest and peace. Als is comfortably furnished. No oven, food can be made on braai or 2-plate stove, or eat in town. Caught fish at municipal dam and dam on farm. Wonderfully peaceful. No TV, could enjoy playing cards in front of the fireplace in the evenings.

It was amazing, the people are very friendly. We stayed in the Fine Feathers unit, very nice and cosy, nice fireplace, the wood for the fireplace is also replenished every day, and the cottage is cleaned nicely once a day. There is also a private trout pond on the farm for which guests have permits, so feel free to take your fly rod with you or rent a rod from "The Village Angler" for R100 a day, it's definitely worth it!
The time with you was very nice. We really enjoyed our visit to the fireplace with the delicious "Cheese and Wine Platter". The place is very neat and clean and well furnished. Thank you for the effort.

Really enjoyed our stay albeit a short one. Lovely little unit, had everything we needed (plus a Kitkat, yum). The views were beautiful; we got to see cows, horses, and even buck. Took photos of the stars and sunset. Woke up to ice on our car, but our room was so warm with the fireplace and all the bedding provided. Will recommend to anyone. And the service was excellent from all sides.
We had a great time and relaxed in front of the fireplace. The reception from Jeanne and Johan was fantastic and any help we needed was quickly provided. I would recommend the place to stay anytime. It is so quiet and peaceful with even wildlife coming up to the cottage.

What a wonderful weekend! We stayed in Jock's Cottages. The house was breathtakingly beautiful, everything was so neat and the attention to detail was obvious. The hosts were friendly and made a real effort to make sure everything was in order. We are definitely going back again.

Jocks Cottages is truly a gem of a place as they would say in English: tucked away in a corner of Dullstroom. We had so much fun in Joe's Nr. 2 stayed. The units are well equipped with everything needed to make one's stay comfortable. The fresh flowers and ice make you feel so welcome. The communication was also early and timely, already a few days before our arrival. Your staff are nimble, friendly and well trained and any problems that arise are quickly and efficiently addressed and sorted out. The farm's bird and wildlife are beautiful and the silence is soothing for the soul. One can only say keep going.
Jock's Cottage exceeded all expectations. Beautiful scenery away from the noise, with trout pond on the front porch. Accommodation was clean, tidy and comfortable, with everything we could need. The fact that no WiFi was available helped us to fully take in the scenery. Haven't had such a nice stay in a long time. You will definitely see us again. The road to the Cottage is indeed a bit high in places for a low sedan car, but is doable if you take it slowly.
Lovely cosy cottage with beautiful views. The jacuzzi is faulty, losing water during use. However, the shower was in order. The window frames do not seal properly on the east side of the bed, resulting in loss of temperature, especially now during winter. The wonderful fireplace made up for this. The hosts are very friendly and helpful.

A most enjoyable getaway at this quiet farm. All amenities were clean and well maintained. The dam was well stocked so we could fish to our heart's content, and yes we caught several trout over the three days. We felt safe and secure with no worries. The indoor fireplace was a delightful welcome as the evenings were slightly chilly.

A fantastic spot, far enough away to hear no noise, and close enough to be on the main road in 5 minutes. The place had everything that you could need, very neat and clean. Each unit is relatively isolated from the next, albeit being neighbors. I'll definitely go back.

The location of Jocks Cottages is perfect near Dullstroom Dam, as well as the Steenkampsberg. I could enjoy beautiful hiking trails. I walked into town and was in no way concerned for my safety. The cottage is beautiful and has everything we needed. On the hot days, a fan is definitely needed. Our requirements for silence and tranquility were met. Cleaning the cottage was a big treat.
It was in a beautiful rural area with large green lawns. The cottages were comfortably and tastefully equipped with everything you need for an overnight stay. The house had an indoor fireplace and an outdoor barbecue and we could have a great time together.

Our getaway was unexpectedly planned with few expectations, but what a surprise! This place is so tucked away between the mountains yet close to town, with farm animals around you and a comfortable unit if you want to relax. Great stay and is perfect for a couple who wants to be alone.

Jock's is a lovely farm with ample of space for kids to run around, cleanliness was spot on, though they can do with a bit more kitchen utensils, though we managed with what we had. The hosting was not that great. We were told that our hostess is Hannelie yet we didn't meet her or see her apart from driving past us in her vehicle. Her husband was the real host who went out of his way to welcome us and see that we are fine. There were a few things that were quite disappointing with hosting but if that could be fixed.

The garden is beautiful, a loop court. Too bad it rained non-stop during the three days. That's why we couldn't use it as well as the natural beauty of the farm.

We could do a lot in Dullstroom, such as horse riding and fishing.
We didn't see anyone from Jock's Cottages, key was in the door. We wanted to get wood, but didn't know where or how to talk to someone. There was no one to greet you, or we didn't know where the driver lived. We asked if we could check in a little earlier. Sent message to 2 different WhatsApp numbers. The 1 person comes back and says it is not possible at all, because the rooms are not ready yet and if we want to check in for 12 hours we have to pay an extra R350. Where the other person answers me back and says it won't be a problem at all, the rooms are fine, no one slept there the night before. It put me off so much I almost canceled the reservation, but we were almost there by then.

The accommodation was clean and tidy. It was quiet, and we could look out over the dam right in front of us. The goslings with their young and the horses with their foals walking around in front of you all day were wonderful to see. We were able to drive to the pond, which is not too far, and water some lines. It was really wonderfully relaxed. We will go to Jock's Cottages again.
We stayed for one night only on our way home from Kruger. The accommodation was lovely and homely, with a comfy bed. The candles and rechargeable light were a blessing with load-shedding. Well geared for the chilly weather - the fireplace was a winner!

We really enjoyed our weekend at Jock's Cottage. The rooms are beautiful and tidy with beautiful gardens. Nice and close to the town but still on the farm. We could rest and relax on the stoep with a nice barbecue, trout fishing in the farm pond and enjoy the town with all the places to eat.

You are on your own due to the location of the cottage, with current crime in SA, a brief on communication should there be an incident must be laid out in writing at the cottage.
We had very little hot water on Friday night and no water of any kind on Saturday morning. I called the contact person Juanne twice and sent a WhatsApp without any feedback to date. The unit is also 500 meters from the nearest local community and although there is an alarm we did not feel too safe overall, as well as having to listen to very loud music from the location until early Saturday and Sunday morning.

The farm is just outside of town, but it still feels as if you're on a farm. Nice horses and goats that walk around. The facilities are nice, clean and the fireplace is lovely.

We had a wonderful stay in the cute and well-equipped Jock's Cottage. The only thing that was bad is the fireplace that does not seal well and then quite a lot of smoke comes into the house. We did learn to pack the wood to the back so it was much better then! Nice warm bedding! There were 4 wine glasses instead of 6, so 2 more would have been nice. Furthermore, everything was very nice and comfortable.

Beautifully furnished units on the outer edge of town, with all the amenities you might need (no oven or grill though), with a view into the countryside. Just a hop and skip into town so perfect to go for a stroll in or go for lunch (read pub crawl), and return to the peace of the countryside. A great little dam to chuck a fly at, and yes there are fish in it that unfortunately eluded me for the short time I spent fishing.

Jock's Cottages are located just on the outskirts of Dullstroom. We spent the night in the honeymoon suite. Very cozy with its heavy curtains and antique furniture. The kitchen is well equipped and we enjoyed hanging out on the porch. Very peaceful farm atmosphere and nice calm view. The only problem is the "jacuzzi" being promoted. It is not a Jacuzzi but a corner bath with jets in it, the stay was also very pleasant and the fireplace with wood a big bonus.
We could go for a nice walk, go to town for some shopping and come back to rest in the silence! Delicious!

Roads very bad. It was assumed that you could see the dams on any of the units. Unfortunately the ponds are very far from Joe's Place cottages and the only place close to the pond is Jocks. Please make the right of advertisement to avoid misleading information and disappointment.
The chalet and its location met all our expectations. It is very well located, away from the town, yet conveniently close with a peaceful farm atmosphere. Would love to live there again in the future.

The house is well equipped and very tidy. The area is beautiful, and we really enjoyed the fishing at Jansens Dam - so beautiful there!
It would be ideal if the dam was stocked, we actually booked with the perception that we could fish in the dam in front of the cottage. Having to get in a car and drive to go fishing was not ideal, even though Jansen dam is a perfect dam, it should be an included option. We like to get up in the morning, cast a line, and same in the afternoon. The fact that you have to drive to the dam, made it cumbersome. We had a fabulous time.
Jock's Cottages is perfectly located if your plan is to explore Dullstroom. It's nice and close to town and makes it possible to drive back and forth between the shops and restaurants several times a day.

It is very neat, but the heater did not work and there is no TV. There is also a short dirt road to drive to the farm. There are better places to stay in Dullstroom.
The tranquility is soul food! Everything we needed. Well organized. Very well located. We would definitely like to visit there again and definitely recommend it. Good value for money.
My husband and I, along with some friends, spent this past long weekend there. What an incredible spot. It was quiet and peaceful. The cottage was lovely. We spent our nights in front of the fireplace and it was incredible. Not too far from all the hustle of Dullstroom, but the perfect distance to forget anyone else existed. Highly recommended!

The fireplace on the cold evenings was the highlight of our day. The provision of the cleaning service was a positive point for me, a break from my home routine. We really enjoyed the tranquility.
Our stay at Jock's Cottages was absolutely what we needed. Fine Feathers was fully equipped with everything needed, and if we were a little short, the place is just a 5 minute drive to the nearest shop, dining or entertainment venue. The fireplace with enough fire content made sure we didn't get cold at all. We will definitely recommend it to others.
Honestly, the best experience I have had in a very long time. The accommodation was beautiful, this place made my trip so magical, I would recommend this place to anyone 20 times over. There was ample firewood, the bath was amazing, the place was spotless and there was the cutest dog to welcome us in the morning. Love!

There was only one problem, there's not enough storage space in the kitchen. The cupboards in the bedrooms aren't big enough either and there's no hangers. The fridge is also too small.

We went home in Fine Feathers. We got exactly what we were looking for and more. The hostess immediately makes you feel at home and is very helpful. Definitely value for money (all that might be missing is a fan). The cattle and horses create a wonderful farm feel. The view and all the stars you can see is beautiful. The living areas are very clean, very creative, very well planned and the fireplace and porch with the braai area is a winner! It was wonderful to sit and listen to the owls. We only stayed one night but still had a great rest. We had a lovely walk and really enjoyed the beautiful scenery. Jock's Cottages will definitely see us again!

The place is very beautiful. Was too short to really comment, but for the night I slept, it met my needs.
Beautiful little cottage, we were not aware all the cottages were all joined together. So when other people came, it was quite noisy! Well equipped. Double beds are too small. Queen size would be better.

Not worth it. Right at squatter camp. Unsafe and noisy. Short attention span. Shower leaks and toilet detaches from the floor. Kitchen contents very old. Beds were very nice. No fish in the pond.
The owner has a definite eye for detail. I have appreciated the decor and all the necessary heaters, electrical blankets, hairdryer. She has thought of everything. Dullstroom is a beautiful little town. We enjoyed our stay.

Jock's Cottages is an intimate little cottage perfect for a romantic getaway. It is modern and clean with a fireplace and hot tub, the towels are the softest and cleanest we have ever experienced. Very nice place for two, just a pity there is not a pond in front of the house.

Jock's Cottages are neat, beautiful and equipped for overnight stays. The site is beautiful and well maintained as well. The road to Jock's Cottages is not the neatest, but can be overlooked as the accommodation makes up for it.

We needed a weekend of just switching off and quiet, and certainly experienced that at Jock's Cottages. An unexpected cold meant that we could enjoy the fireplace, and on top of that a lovely warm blanket and bed ensured a wonderful night's rest. It is peaceful and quiet, and located outside the noise of the town. The unit offers everything you need for self-catering for 2 people. We will definitely visit Jock's Cottages again.
The stay was only for one night but it was an experience. Very clean and quiet. Because the accommodation is a bit out of town, a cash bar or fridge would help quite a bit. No TV is good but other form of music would have been nice.
Jock's Cottages is well located, but no one welcomes you - it was quite a bit frustrating when you arrive. The rooms are neat and clean, cleaned every day and the fireplace was a winner. Jock's Cottages provided new wood for the fireplace every day. Would have liked to see a TV/radio in the unit - background music in front of the fireplace would have helped the atmosphere.
My wife and I stayed in Fine Feathers for our 1 year wedding anniversary. Was a cold weekend and the unit was equipped with a fireplace, which was lovely! Everything was neat and comfortable. All that was not as advertised was the view. Will definitely visit them again.
Here you can switch off and recharge, no television and music. Yet it is against the town. We stayed in the two bed cottage which is nice and spacious for two people. The cottage is neat and clean and well equipped for self-catering. The manager contacted us in advance to finalize arrangements. Lots of room to walk.
A wonderful weekend away and very clean and tidy unit.
Just make sure of the location, Google Maps is going to send you in the wrong direction. The pond in the picture is not near Joe's Place, Feather Tree or the Farm house. We were warmly received. The cottage was beautifully furnished, nicely clean and the fire already packed. Although the place is on the side of town (opposite the caravan park) it is still close to the sights. Horses and cattle are your neighbors.
The unit is beautiful. The fireplace was very welcome on the cool evening. We will go again for sure.
Dullstroom is excessively expensive - as an RSA citizen I feel they abuse the RSA citizens and pay us in Rand and not Dollars. Although I see our stay in a positive light I won't be going to Dullstroom again anytime soon - it's just too expensive. Restaurants and etc. The shops are all the same and the variety is small. Disappointing.
The cottage was clean and tidy and located in a very quiet and beautiful environment. The fireplace in the room was lovely to use and the beautiful horses and scenery on the farm was a highlight. If you would like to be close to the bustling main street of Dullstroom, Jock's Cottages may not be the best option. It is located slightly outside the village on a dirt road. But definitely a great place to relax.
Had a great time, everything was clean and enjoyed the fireplace. Would love to fish but the pond is empty. Misleading. Didn't meet the owners at all and were very much on our own. Nice close to town. Place atmosphere and very quiet.

Jock's Cottage is a double storey unit with accommodation for 6 guests and is situated on the banks of Jocksdam.
Fine Feathers, the original milking room, is an exclusive honeymoon suite and has a Jacuzzi and a shower in the unit.
Joe's Place was originally a dairy barn that was converted into 4 self-catering units. These units can each accommodate 2 guests.
Each unit's veranda overlooks the surroundings and the mountains. The units have open-plan living and sleeping areas with private bathrooms and a basic kitchen equipped with a two-plate stove, microwave and bar fridge. Guests can relax in front of the cosy fireplaces or use the private braai facilities on the veranda of each unit.
Activities on the farm include trout fishing, mountain biking, hiking as well as bird watching. Dullstroom offers a variety of restaurants as well as actvities such as Ama Poot Poot hiking trail, fishing, and horse-back riding. Guests can also visit the Dullstroom Birds of Prey and Rehab Centre.
