The nice room, with enough facilities, backup power. Very big shower, smile. Walking distance to the beach. Very safe complex, I saw kids playing soccer and on bicycles. Maybe Netflix and not DStv would make it perfect.
We stayed at The Dunes for two nights. It had everything we needed. It was neat, clean, and the check-in and check-out was easy and efficient.
We had a very nice stay, very peaceful and the place is very well maintained.
We had a great time staying at Jolly Jenny and would love to stay there again in the future. It's just the Wi-Fi and geyser they need to sort out please, we didn't have hot water or Wi-Fi on Friday night but they messaged us later that night to let us know the Wi-Fi is now on and the geyser's timer is on the same network, but my wife and I already had a cold shower by then. On Saturday, the geyser and hot water were ready. Unfortunately, on Sunday morning there was again no hot water for us to shower. So we had to shower twice in ice cold water which is not good when it is that cold. The bed slept very well, would like to know the name and type of bed it is. The TV's remote has trouble turning the TV on and off.
It was perfect for what we needed.

The house is comfortable, the shower is ok, but watch your head when you step in or out. The kitchen is tidy, but not fully equipped for self-catering: with 1 (electric) pan. We had one power outage and the backup works fine. But when rebooting, the system makes a lot of noise. The WiFi works perfectly.
Just feedback. Both the front door and bathroom door scrape on the floor when opened. It will soon wear through the carpeting.
It was very convenient for me and everything needed was in the room. Good place to stay for travelers heading to the Western Cape or the Eastern Cape.

It is a comfortable place, close to the sea, although it is a little outside Plettenberg Bay itself and there was no restaurant.
The place is really customer oriented. Fully equipped with: medical kits, wood, flashlights, hair dryers, inverters. Private entrance to beaches. You will see us again for sure!

This is the second time we stay in Jolly Jenny @ The Dunes. It is just perfect. The location, the room is comfortable, modern, very clean and has everything we need. The price is very reasonable, and if you need any assistance during your stay the response is prompt and helpful. It’s a short walk from the most magnificent private beach. It can get a bit noisy when there are people staying in the adjoining room as it is in very close proximity. We will definitely stay here again.
Our cottage was very neat and well equipped, down to an ironing board and iron - something you don't usually find in places.
The unit is very nice, clean and located in The Dunes which is very quiet and safe. It's just a short walk to the beach where you can hang out around a picnic table. We initially booked one night but liked it so much we extended it by another night. Travelers should note that apart from the braai facilities there are no cooking facilities. Just a frying pan and no plates, pots or pans. There is a small microwave to heat food and a kettle for coffee. The unit we lived in does not yet have an inverter, but it is planned and some of the other units apparently already do. The WiFi is quite slow; just fast enough for emails and WhatsApp, but not for videos. Abri, the manager, is very nice and helped us quickly with some requests. We would love to stay here again if we are in the area.

All round pleasant stay at unit 83. We loved the amount of privacy with the little courtyard and under-roof braai area. Only suggestion I have is that you think of adding some rechargeable lights etc to accommodate for load shedding.

The unit where we stayed for three nights was extremely tidy, well equipped with accompanying carport and outdoor barbecue. The staff, especially Marika, really made an effort to make our stay as pleasant as possible with, among other things, A WiFi that was temporarily out of order. The Dunes as a resort is very well looked after. It is safely and conveniently located in relation to Plettenberg Bay and Knysna as well as the picturesque hinterland with many interesting attractions. In addition to this we had full use of both pools. On our previous visit to The Dunes, the hotel with its cute ladies' bar and restaurant still existed - unfortunately no more.

Not quite what we wanted on the day but we were only there for 2 days so it sufficed. We have stayed in other units in the past, and were expecting the same - ie more space, adequate cooking facilities etc. These units were right on top of each other, with a common garden area separated by a simple hedge, so no privacy. A longer stay would have been cramped, as I said, ultimately suited our needs for 2 days.

Clean and tidy, maybe too small for a long holiday but good for a few days. The sea access with lifeguards is a plus. Cute little shop helps too!
Beautiful area to holiday in, the unit was perfect for us as a young family. Nice walking distance to the beautiful Keurboom beach and we really enjoyed our holiday there. One small recommendation I can make, for the times when there is load shedding or power outages, maybe just provide a gas bottle and gas kettle so that guests can still make a nice cup of coffee, especially on those persistent rainy days. Otherwise everything was perfect and we would love to go back.
We only stayed overnight but everything was nice and clean and well organized. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Ideal location, very comfortable, close to the beach and good size swimming pool. Suited my needs for a 2-night stay.
The unit itself is acceptable, however, I have the following criticism: 1. The two single beds pushed together are extremely hard/firm and difficult to sleep on. 2. The inverter is noisy. 3. The shower door needs maintenance. 4. It is a small space, even for 2 people. 5. The "walls are thin", in that we could almost hear everything our next-door neighbours had to say. 6. The unit is close to where one enters the estate and not that close to the beach, as it seems from the advertisement. Despite the aforementioned, I would highly recommend staying at the Dunes, since the location is fantastic and the unit is suitable.

Our stay was lovely, the only thing was the loadshedding which was out of your control. Would have liked some more light in the room as the small one on the fridge was not working or the batteries were flat. Other than that, we had a good stay. Friendly people especially the security lady when we got there.

Aircon out of order, it was damn cold. At least resort brought us a small fan heater. Mirror in bathroom has severe moisture damage, toilet only works when it suits him. Bath taps broken. Plugs do not keep water inside the tub, and when plugs are removed it takes hours to empty the tub or sink. Mold on the tub and shower. The unit is generally dusty, walls are dirty and full of marks, definitely not cleaned for our visit. We are very disappointed.

The environment is beautiful. The Dunes is neatly maintained and the unit is large, clean and tidy, as well as tastefully furnished. The on-site cafeteria serves light meals and delicious coffee.

We spend the weekend at Jolly Jenny unit at the Dunes. The location is amazing, and a wonderful beach is a short (but steep:) walk away. The room was clean and comfortable (except the block drain in the shower which was resolved promptly and efficiently). There is a fridge (a bit noisy) and coffee/tea facility and limited cooking is available. All in all, we had a great time and definitely will return. Thank you!
Close to doing things. Accommodation is comfortable, kitchen small but is doable just short of a pan to fry an egg in.
Got to the place. Very secluded and quiet. It was load shedding, but the hot water was hot-hot. Air-conditioned room, spacious with a good parking space and braai area. The gentleman at reception was super friendly, dressed well, and was very helpful.

We had only two minor complaints. There was less than a quarter of the toilet roll left and no supplies of toilet rolls in the cupboards. We had to fetch our own from the car. This is completely unacceptable in any accommodation establishment. Also, the tin opener in the kitchen drawer was blunt and again we had to fetch our own one.

These units were very nice for our few days stay. You can't see the sea and have to walk a bit. It didn't bother us at all, but it might be a problem for people who move a lot. Had wonderful weather which allowed us to walk long distances on the beach and also enjoy a lovely visit on the built wooden deck overlooking the sea. We would recommend Jolly Jenny anytime and will definitely stay there again. The house we stayed in does not have a sea view but is walking distance from a lovely beach. The cleanliness of the gardens and silence in the resort made up for the feeling of being close to beaches. Keurboom Beach and Plettenberg Bay are a few minutes' journey from the accommodation and the restaurants in the area are top notch. The cleanliness of the accommodation was outstanding and although it is quite small, we did not feel confined.

The bush area between the resort and beach are protected areas and therefore may not be used for entertainment or throughfare, except for the designated walking areas. The bird and wildlife may not be disturbed under any circumstances.
Braais are only allowed in designated areas. No fires are permitted on any lawn areas, carports of Studio units, wooden deck overlooking the beach or the beach itself.
All cleaning of fish must be done in the designated fish cleaning sink at the beach lawn area. Fishing hooks and lines must be discarded in the designated bins for this purpose located at the end of the beach steps. A fishing license is required for fishing on the beaches.
No food or drink may be consumed while in the swimming pools. The use of glass bottles and glasses in the swimming pool are strictly prohibited. The proper swimming attire must be worn while using the swimming pool. The use of the swimming pools and beach along with all other resort facilities are completely own risk. Children under the age of 12 must be supervised by an adult at all times.
