I had a nice stay, only the toilet at room 3 needs to be fixed please. be fixed. Furthermore, very good food and accommodation.
It was amazing and I felt at home.
Slept very well and the food was delicious, definitely value for money.
Fantastic little stop in the middle of a long drive. Great customer service, good food, and affordable drinks. Will definitely recommend. Beautiful garden area, lovely in the evenings.
Had a great stay.
Very nice stay, restaurant gave very nice food, exactly how I like it. Room was extremely comfortable, love it except the bathroom door needs some attention. Otherwise everything is great.
Cooled off in the pool, thankful for AC. Can recommend food in the restaurant - was excellent and very affordable. A big thank you to the lady who was in charge in the restaurant on the 29th of January and helped us with an ambulance when my wife was unwell. Such service is greatly appreciated. Very sorry we didn't ask your name in all the consternation.
Great place for a stop over - friendly staff and comfortable room.
Had a great stay and felt safe.
Yes, we had a nice stay. On arrival we were uncomfortable with the crowd of "locals" who were loud where you have to check in. The room was very neat. The braai place is very far from the rooms and we asked for a portable braai. The young man who assigned our room was very friendly and brought one, as well as the knives and forks. He was also on guard on the premises all night. Would be very nice if there is a table to eat at in the room.
Our stay was comfortable and convenient. Everything needed for an overnight stay was available, clean and tidy. We booked and paid for room 1, but then had to take room 7 due to permanent residents. Guests must please insist on speaking directly with management before paying the deposit for a particular room. There are permanent residents staying in certain rooms that are not available when guests arrive to book. There are facilities for barbecuing and hanging out, but they are not private at all and basically one common area that may have to be shared with other guests. A lovely clean swimming pool and large lawn help a lot to cool off and relax. Staff in the shop and kitchen are very friendly and very helpful and they deserve a bonus. Accommodation was safe and peaceful.
Very neat rooms. Lovely garden and pool at the back. Right next to the highway, so the trucks are quite noisy.
The staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful. However, one feels that they do not get sufficient support from the owner/management. Apart from the rooms, the place is neglected, with a hole in the restaurant's roof, long grass by the pool, broken tiles around the pool, etc. Min R100 required. Too few staff in the restaurant and you could do better with the food variety - no sausage in the Karoo? The service was extremely slow during peak season. The same goes for the gas station. Look for access to the restaurant not through the gas station.
Average - was suitable for a halfway stop between Johannesburg and Cape Town.
Just an amazing place to rest during the trip.
Slept comfortably and warm. Left very early again.
Accommodation is affordable.
You must plan with the beggars and vagrants. They themselves know how to open the gate. It really doesn't feel safe when you stop there. The rooms, restaurant and pool after the long drive were fantastic.
Perfect for overnight stay.
Ka Ma Lodge was clean and the staff very friendly. The facilities were also quite comfortable. It was also very welcome to have an electric blanket on our bed given that we stayed at a very cold time of year. However, the room my partner and I were initially given smelled very strongly of smoke. Thankfully, Rene, one of the staff, immediately accommodated us by switching us to another room. I was also taken aback at the cost of R50 for two slices of toast (plain white bread from a packet that had been bought at a supermarket and not even homemade bread). There was also no WiFi. I also didn't realise that the venue is right next to the N1 though that's my fault for not checking properly. The owners may want to consider investing in a bit of soundproofing as the constant sound of trucks rushing by on the highway might be too much for some guests.
On the main road - traffic noise bothers a bit.

The accommodation was clean and okay, but it's old and primitive.
No towels were given on arrival.
Neat and clean bathrooms. Blanket burned, hole in sheet. Carpets stained. Front porch dirty and had to ask for it to be wiped down.
The only negative comment I have is the attitude of the staff at the restaurant. They were rude and gave us the runaround, and in the end, we ended up walking around the town to find food elsewhere.
The area does not make you feel safe. There are too many homeless people hanging around. It's located next to the freeway, thus quite noisy at night. The unit could use a kitchen cleanup area. The unit needs to be fitted with light block-out curtains because the lighting outside is preventing a good night's sleep. The restaurant service was good.
Unfortunately, the place disappointed us. The location is not good at all as right next to the Caltex garage. There are many elements at the garage that make us feel unsafe. Room maintenance is not too shabby. It might just be a place to sleep over for the long journey between the Cape and Gauteng, but unfortunately I'll give it a miss next time.
Expected more value for money. Safety for guests is not their priority (loose wires, sharp garden tools lying around). Water was a problem - pumps only had to be turned on later that evening. On a positive note - bed slept well.
It was good enough for an overnight stay, although it doesn't look like the photos at all. We were disappointed with how 'raw' the place was.
The toilet didn't work, very noisy next to the garage, the TV didn't work, I had to turn off the light for the fan to stay on. No microwave.

Very nice. Clean, neat. Food excellent.
The restaurant was fantastic, and room outstanding, very nice stay, service was good.
We have stayed at Ka Ma Lodge a few times on the way to George. The service was always good and friendly, the room clean and tidy and the tranquility at the pool just what we needed to relax.
Comfortable. Rooms were nice and neat. Value for money. We relaxed at the pool area.
It was a very nice place.
Very nice, neat and clean rooms. Perfect for a sleepover. Restaurant a few meters from rooms, prices very reasonable. Beautiful, peaceful garden with swimming pool and braai facilities.
Friendly service. Very neat and clean accommodation. Children really enjoyed the space and pool.
I had a very nice stay. The air conditioner, DSTV, swimming pool and delicious food were definitely value for money!
Had a great stay, thank you.
The restaurant was simply amazing. What it lacks in ambiance, it completely makes up for in taste. The accommodation is perfect and sufficient for a stop-over en route to Cape Town or JHB.
I would recommend that there would be alternative options for light if only candles, and possibly a flask of boiling water during load shedding for making tea or coffee. I couldn't get the TV on either. Other than that, my stay was pleasant, thank you very much.
Neat and everything you need.
Everything in the unit was clean and tidy and comfortable; and the service, especially Beckham sense was great. Unfortunately, because the lodge is right on the N1, the noise of the traffic is deafening throughout the night. The garden and pool area are beautiful and we could sit there and relax after a long day's driving. We spotted some nice bird life.
Only stayed one night.
The unit was clean and tidy. We stayed overnight and it had everything advertised. Very helpful staff - the young man brought us a braai, because they are busy with repair work at the lapa. Ice and wood are available on site.
The rooms are spacious and beautiful. It is quiet and peaceful.
Restaurant was neat, friendly service and delicious food! Cozy atmosphere!
Lovely feel half way between Johannesburg and Cape Town.

Everything was clean and tidy. Perfect for a quick overnight stay. Missed a few glasses, but went to ask for them at the restaurant that forms part of the stay.
I would have given the lodge a 5 star rating initially, but unfortunately certain aspects of the stay were not up to standard for the price paid. We asked for a DSTV remote control at the restaurant as per the rules but we were ignored. I personally think it is more of a R400 per night lodge in the peak period.
Lekka spend the night at Ka-Ma lodge. Staff are friendly and helpful.
See comments below please.
The bedding had stains on it and the towels and carpet in the bathroom are very old.
The room appeared clean initially, but we found a hair on a plate and stains on the inside of the bedding. When my daughter opened the bed to sleep, we all decided to sleep on top of the bedding. There were a few bugs, one in the main bed that I killed, leaving a blood stain on the bedding. My husband had bite marks. There was no sink in the room to rinse dishes, so we had to rinse a glass in the bathroom to have a drink of water (which we bought). There was no hand soap in the bathrooms and no extra toilet paper, only a small piece on the roll that was left (probably from the last guest). Luckily, we always travel with a roll or two. There are no decent places to have supper. The restaurant needs a good deep clean. Upon entering, you can smell the dust as if it has not been cleaned in ages. The items they have for sale on a table in the restaurant are so dusty, it seems like they've been laying there for decades. I could go on and on. Sadly, I only read reviews on the accommodation after I made the booking and paid the deposit. I was hoping that it wouldn't be as bad as the reviews from a few months ago, a year ago and so forth, thus hoping that things have changed and improved for the better. Sadly, this was not the case. Sorry to say, but this was a horrible experience. We decided to leave earlier the next morning than initially planned.
We were greeted with the words "Another dog!" and the person refused to help us until the dog was taken out. Although the place is advertised as dog friendly there are no gardens or dog water bowls. On all the doors it says "No pets allowed in rooms" which still makes you feel unwelcome. There was no trash in our room. The bedding and towels had old stains on them and one towel was very dirty. The restaurant's menu is set. You can't ask for salad with your hamburger, you just have to have it with chips. At the entrance sits a beggar who makes you feel unsafe.
People are friendly, but take their time. I was tired when I got there. Only one person is there to help and manage the restuarant. After an hour of waiting I was checked in first. It was loadshedding when I got there and showered in the dark. I had my own soap, but while showering I touched someone's old soap.
One room was clean, but there was no cutlery and crockery. The other room was not clean, with dirty towels, hair in the basin, and a cockroach on the floor. The braai area was clean. The pool was murky and the lawn could have been mown. The receptionist was not helpful.
No, bad service at all!
Bad service. Started with booking, was booked and on confirming they had no record and then also no space but that was resolved (thank you). On arrival it's not clear where to go. Office in restaurant. Service was seriously poor. Unit in desperate need of an update. Carpets stained, shower curtain mouldy, hand shower in bath broken and dirty, no toilet paper provided. Kitchen not clean, basin not clean. Bedding had old stains but looked cleanish. Will never stay there again. Not recommended!
Many, many thanks to Lenke who was so attentive and saw our need. The moment I contacted her with our car problems she moved our dates up 2 days without any extra charges. They are fantastic.
Will definitely book there again.
Richmond is my home town so good to think back to old days. Our stay and also nice evening tea was definitely good. Staff friendly and everything tidy. Definitely enjoyed stay. Thank you very much.
Accommodation on the way to and from the Cape.
It's a very nice lodge.
Value for money.
This place doesn't look like much from the outside, but when you go through the gates you see the beauty. It was just what we needed after a 11 hour drive! We will definitely stay there again on route to KZN and back again to Cape Town! Really lovely! The kids enjoyed the pool and the huge amount of space to run around and play. We enjoyed the airconditioned room.
Nice overnight stay and a restaurant to eat at. Only problem is Dstv didn't work.
It was a freezing night but I was cosy warm in my room. Lovely hot bath to warm me up! Breakfast was simple but delicious. Staff all very friendly and helpful. It's close to the N1, which I liked - it meant I didn't have to deviate far off my route. May be noisy for some. The only thing I didn't like was the begging children. They made themselves a nuisance by pestering me the whole time. Even once inside the security gate they were peeping through, and even had access to the pedestrian gate, which was a bit alarming, although they never came inside. They just opened it and called out to me as I was walking around. Put me off going for dinner.
Checked in quickly and easily and friendly staff showed us to our room. The room was cozy and tidy. Enough space for family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Kitchen with fridge, kettle and microwave and coffee available. Very neat bathroom with shower. Restaurant available but we ordered takeaways from their little shop. DSTV also available and aircon. It was just what we needed after all day on the road.
We also really enjoyed that there was a restaurant on site. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
We stayed one night on our way to Cape Town, and Ka Ma Lodge was a surprise. We swam and slept great and would happily recommend Ka Ma Lodge.
The restaurant is top notch as far as food and pricing is concerned. The only real drawback is the close proximity to the N1 with all the big lorries passing night and day. I would still recommend the lodge because of pricing and the restaurant.
Easily accessible on N1 route.
Special effort has been made for us. Most delicious vegetable pie for vegetarian. Venison pie was very tasty.
Good overnight stay over, with pool with all the basics. The town has a few interesting sites, enjoyed the historic value.
The staff really went out of their way for the guests. The management could have assisted their staff a lot more as they were under staffed, one could see it put pressure on the staff. Especially in the restaurant as the waitress was helping with the cooking, bookings and cleaning the tables. I would like to commend the waitress we had, as she went out of her way to assist and make it an enjoyable evening. We will stay there again as we travel to Cape Town and the Garden Route often.
Bathrooms are getting very outdated and rooms have very noisy air conditioners. We slept here on the trip to the Cape and back and both rooms we used had the same problems.
Beds sleep very comfortably. The restaurant's service was excellent and the food very tasty and reasonable.
Single traveler and have slept there 2 times now without feeling at all scared and/or uncomfortable if I stop there late in the evening or drive again early in the morning.
Friendly help and delicious meal in restaurant. Quiet and slept well.
You get what you pay for.
We had a nice stay, the room was neat and clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Appreciated that despite load shedding we had hot water, as well as 2 lights in the room which helped. Note that we booked room 1 and then received room 7. But was still a pleasant night's rest.
When requested a room away from the main road it was a problem. Maybe sort out requests when rooms are available.
Clean, comfortable and good for an overnight stop. Road noise was the only problem.
Received excellent service from the young man working there, but room is smaller than I expected and it is very close to the N1, so you hear the trucks going up and down all night. Can also hear everything going on in other rooms.
Food from the restaurant was amazing. Rooms were clean and decent. Parking and security is average.
Just couldn't get the electrical plugs and the TV didn't work.
Value for money!
There are individual units, each with their own parking, making it private as you do not share rooms within a guesthouse. Inside the unit however, are not separate rooms, so kids and parents share a room. Our door to our shower would not close, so no privacy in the bathroom, which was not ideal, but I enjoyed the shower, not like some places you stop at with no pressure or a funny shower head. There was a fridge and microwave but no sink to wash your dishes, you will have to use the sink in the bathroom. The staff were very helpful, they give you your keys and TV remote and open the gate leading to your unit, from the garage area where the one of their entrances are to their restaurant is where you sign in. They also even assisted delivering food to our unit as we were so tired, we ordered takeaways and they offered to bring it when it was ready so we don't have to walk up and down to check on our order. When we left I was a bit concerned when we managed to push the gate opening with no ones help to exit and return our keys to reception/restaurant. I am not sure the gate was locked overnight and how secure the place really was the night we slept over. I assumed it was locked until we didn't need help getting out. Getting to the main road from the lodge is also very easy, if you prefer not to travel too deep into a town. All in all, we had a comfortable bed and comfortable stay, there is even a old school aircon that works very well and adds comfort to the rooms temperature and I will recommend this place if you can deal with the above mentioned. We had a comfortable overnight stay.
The young man who was attending to reception was also the only waitron in the very busy restaurant on the premises. He was at one stage running to help new arrivals as well as serve at tables - he is to be commended for his excellent service. The area in which the Lodge is located did not make us feel at all safe.
Neat and tidy place to overnight.
Mens kan nie direk by Kama Lodge bespreek nie. Ek moes deur Lekker slaap. Ek bespreek toe vir my en 'n kollega elkeen ons eie kamer, maar toe ons in check, het hulle ons in een kamer saam geplaas.
Pool needed cleaning, tap in basin awkward. Can't put face down to wash. But neat and clean.
Great shower and friendly staff. No Wi-Fi.
On arrival we had to search for personnel to assist us. They also wanted to give us a different room that we booked. Once we got the correct room we noticed that the complementary coffee packets were used/empty and were not replaced. Furthermore is the towels that they do supply really threadbare and need to be replaced. Room also need a good cleaning specially in the times were are living.
Once there we had to struggle to find out where to go in - vagrants wanted to help us go in. In the room there was no kettle and TV 'remote' was not there. We had to struggle to get someone to bring us a kettle. No teaspoons for coffee. No one could get TV to work. Towels are battered.
Ka Ma Lodge is kamma a lodge. Not recommended at all.
See stars.
Terrible location, no security- toilets overflowing in public toilets next door.
Trucks roar and I swear truck drivers greet each other through the night. Very close to N1. DStv only had 1 channel but the carpets were always dirty and dusty and had a stinky wet carpet smell. The environment just felt unsafe although we slept safely. We only paid half price because the room was not clean and the DStv did not work properly. I will not stay there again.
Very nice stay, good and friendly service.
We received good service, very neat and clean.
Secure parking. Food very nice. Clean and tidy.
Convenient-close to the N1 and secure parking, makes it comfortable to sleep over. Restaurant is neat and service is fast.
I definitely recommend the restaurant, the best chicken ever eaten, prices are fair everyone's food was very tasty.
No frills, just a nice place to rest your body and soul.
The room was neat and clean. The water from the taps unfortunately had moss floating in it so bathing was not possible, even though there was a bath available. Better to buy water for washing your face and brushing your teeth.
Value for money and perfect location - no breakfast by 7am is a problem!
Staff is clearly an asset and you feel welcome and immediately relax when you arrive.
Very nice stay there. Just needed 2 soft chairs for the sore butt.
Got there very late. As a female solo traveler, I never once felt unsafe. The night shift security helped me with luggage, unlocked the door and waited until I locked the door before he walked!
Room was sufficient for an overnight stay. However, the restaurant did not have half of the things on the menu, and no manager was available when we asked to speak to management.
You have a great facility and good services as well as rates. Well done Ka Ma Lodge, we enjoyed staying at your premises.
It seemed as if the site was a bit neglected, probably due to Covid and travel restrictions.
Very friendly staff. The carpet in the room was full of stains and the bedding wasn't clean.
Good overnight stay.
Staff friendly. Restaurant was very good. Not gourmet, but good take aways. My problem is the location. At N1 and unless you have good earplugs or traffic doesn't bother you, you won't sleep. The location and number of people gathering in front of the lodge to get buses left me uneasy about safety. The place is by N1 with a lot of traffic noise.
Location is not optimal. Right next to N1 with trucks and cars passing by all night.
I was a little disappointed as I asked for the room with a view or the garden which was recommended by a family member who stayed there recently. I got No. 2 which had no view.
Was very basic, okay for overnight stay but not what we expected.
Rooms were beautifully clean and tidy. However, towels were old, torn and washed. Ka Ma Lodge is right next to the main road which made sleeping very difficult.
There is nothing in town, one girl handles the whole restaurant. Neat enough but not a recommended destination.
Although the rooms were clean, the location is poor. The environment around the lodge and restaurant is not good. The food was indeed delicious.
The bed's mattress is so soft and weak, that we decided to turn the mattress over so as not to have springs pressing into your ribcage. When we turned around, we got a mattress protector that was so stained with something that we didn't want to sleep on the bed. Bed mattress was also in plastic bag that you have to sleep on. We booked a room with aircon, and with in also we got a completely different room, no aircon or fridge. All evening there was so much noise from the garage with taxis' music blaring and no one to silence them. Not an eye closed the whole evening. Can't recommend the place.
We went to eat at Ka Ma Lodge's restaurant and found a worm in the salad. Extremely unacceptable.
Everything is relatively good. Neatness and clean. Except that the place is located 40 meters from the N1. Thank you for the guard who was sent out, but sat down and talked with him at 2:00 in the night, as you feel the trucks passing between you and your wife.
Had terrible trouble getting out, after I arranged for a time.
Taxis, loud music, people shouting under your bedroom window all night. Worst place ever make sure to avoid rooms 11 or 12! Apart from that the place is run-down, maintenance bad, service bad there were no sheets on our beds, request for them never arrived either!
Friendly welcome. 24 hour security. Very neat.
Nice spacious rooms.. silver clean.. very good value for money.. can recommend it.
Bedroom and showers are of a good size, beds comfortable, restaurant good and staff friendly. Price is very good value.
Would recommend Ka Ma Lodge.
It was a melting warm day, the swimming pool was great, although not totally clean. The bathroom at room 7 is not in the best condition. Bath was clean, but rough. Otherwise good value for money. Thank you.
Spacious room, friendly staff.
Dark curtains will make a big difference to a good night's rest. The pool was a nice bonus!
I was very impressed with the safety and security as well as the layout of the room.
The stay was pleasant. We just did not have any hot water (luckily the weather conditions permitted a cold shower) and the kettle was really dirty. Did not want to use it. The beds and the bathroom were clean.
Clean and good location, nice stay.
Suggest a toaster. Bit noisy being on main road.
See stars.
Inside the premises everything is fine, but just outside, at the shop and garage, one does not feel safe. The trucks that drive by bother you a lot while you are trying to sleep.
I was very grateful for the "aircon" in the room. The service in the restaurant was very slow and that's why I didn't eat the curry and rice that I wanted so much. The traffic on the N2 did not give me a good night's rest.
Don't think you have to advertise the place!
It's terribly noisy. Trucks come and go. No boiler. No toilet paper.
Room of 4 adults was booked and was provided with 3 large plates and 1 small one, as well as 2 large towels and 2 small ones. Room not suitable for 4 people and would not recommend it.
We discussed staying in room 2, 3, 4 or 5 when we got room no 6 because the owner's family got the other rooms for a wedding. When we got there the staff were not helpful at all, even the restaurant's service was pathetic. Owner nowhere to be seen. Very disappointed with the room, only 2 towels where about 3 were washed really could replace towels they are already old and tired. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
Close to N1, restaurant's food was nice and we slept in a very clean room. Thank you very much!
What is nice about Ka Ma Lodge is the restaurant is around the corner. The rooms are simple and clean - perfect for me. For others, it probably won't satisfy. I also enjoy the large garden which is very private and helps to relax after a day's long drive. Will stay at Ka Ma Lodge again.
Perfect for a quick stop over. Lovely restaurant.
All Richmond lacks is more variety of banking services. There is only a Standard Bank ATM and ABSA Saswitch ATM available.
Enjoyed our stay, just thought that one teabags for two people was a bit ridiculous.
It's an old-fashioned guesthouse, but it sure is one of the better and more private guesthouses in Richmond.
We were in the wheelchair friendly unit, floors were a bit dusty and two bath towels were missing. At our request, all errors were quickly sorted out and Ka Ma even provided us with an additional fan. The wall-mounted television needs to be in a better place, as my daughter bumped her head several times. The beds are built in cement blocks, but have the most amazing mattresses. Slept like a queen! On our return everything was fine, only the toilet wouldn't flush, but the friendly staff soon fixed it. As a wheelchair user, Ka Ma even allowed us to smoke in the unit. The beautiful white and orange decor makes you feel right at home. I suggest they put in "blockout" blinds since the outside light is on all the time. A wall plug by the disabled bed would be great. Two bed mats and at least one easy chair will also make me stay longer. By the way, the trucks didn't bother us at all.
We had a very comfortable stay and the room had everything we needed. One bed's linen had grease spots, which was a little less pleasant. The green grass and swimming pool are definitely a plus. We were received very kindly and experienced no problems with check-in or check-out. We ate at the restaurant twice and each time the game pie was the winner. The burger's patty and the schnitzel taste like they came from a box.
Ka Ma Lodge has a great location, is affordable and has the most delicious meals that can be bought at the restaurant, this makes it the ideal stay.
When we received our keys, we also got 2 bags of 3-in-1 coffee/sweetener/cremora-mix. No tea. I basically drink bitter coffee, and my husband is diabetic. We never drink cremora - it's very unhealthy. I thought there would've been tea in the room. All other guest houses give separate tea, sugar and milk.
The accommodation was neat and clean, we were received kindly and there was even an electric blanket on the bed - convenient in winter. Would recommend to anyone. Only more than the 2 bags of coffee can be placed.
Very spacious and comfortable rooms, well equipped. There's a nice resturant and bar at the lodge, open 7 days a week. A bit of traffic noise due to proximity to N1 but otherwise very comfortable stop-over
Neat and clean facilities for overnight purposes. The restaurant offers nice meals. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Die vetmuis is worth a visit.
Will visit again when I come to Cape Town.
While we were prepared for the noise from the freeway, we were not prepared for the noise surrounding the accommodation. There were cars parked just outside the accommodation, playing loud music. The gate had to be opened and closed by hand with the risk of being scratched by the barbed wire. We were told that there was security at night but we cannot confirm this as there was no one present when we retired for the night and left in the morning. The hosts accommodated us with twin beds, the room was spacious and clean with adequate facilities. We had to call to ask about the remote and had to walk back to the restaurant which is not withing the enclosed area where the accommodation is, to pay a deposit and to get the remote. The hosts were pleasant and the take away is convenient.
Sorry we got room near the road, trucks very busy at gas station, otherwise no problem. Thank you.
I would definitely stay at Ka Ma Lodge again. The facilities are on the old side, but friendly staff, extremely neat rooms and very good security certainly make it worth it!
Friendly welcome and help.
It is very convenient because it is so close to the N1. The room was lovely and clean and it was good value for money. I would stay there again.
See stars.
Will definitely stay there again.
Beautiful, neat place. Restaurant has delicious meals and you can get the best coffee there early in the morning.
This is my second time staying at Ka-Ma Lodge. It was very neat and we had a good rest.
Despite the proximity of the bypass, the noise of the vehicles was not very disturbing and we were able to relax. Thanks to the management for the friendly reception and service.
We were very surprised when we went around and actually saw how big and beautiful our place was. For the price we paid, it was neat and comfortable. The garden is also pretty big and the restaurant looked so nice and tasty. Unfortunately we just finished getting ourselves something to eat. We left early and they helped us nicely. It's close to the N1, but you're so tired, you don't even hear the vehicles anymore.
It was a particularly nice stay with hospitable and friendly staff.
Very nice room. Large open yard with nice and clean pool. Restaurant with a bar right on the same grounds.
Very peaceful and affordable and a nice overnight stop to shorten the long way down to the Cape. A big advantage is also that there is a restaurant on the premises that also serves very good food. Thank you very much for the good and friendly service we received.
The restaurant's food was very tasty and the prices in line with similar places, I will definitely spend the night there again and recommend it to friends.
Looked at previous reviews and have to say the busy road didn't bother us at all. People are friendly and hospitable. Will definitely make it our stop again on our next trip to the Cape.
Friendly and helpful hostess and staff. Rooms are clean and tidy. Nice resting place between Western Cape and Gauteng.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The location and convenience of a restaurant make it ideal. The only recommendation I want to make is that coffee, milk and sugar are provided separately. I do not use sugar and if someone does not use milk, it's a problem. What about those who do not drink coffee? There was no tea provided. We will definitely use this place again. We had a very nice stay and slept safely.
Everything was perfect, except for the shower. Very small and uncomfortable.
Everything was neat and clean. Close to the N1. You can hear all the trucks but understandably so given the location. Warm water for bath and shower, electrical blanket and heater for the cold, as well as air conditioner for the heat. Everything needed for comfortable sleepover.
Can really recommend it for overnight stay. Very neat and clean with good and easy access. Friendly reception and service.
Everything was perfect. However, there is a little something that bothered me. We all love our morning coffee. Unfortunately, I could not enjoy it because three-in-one packages are provided and like many others I am diabetic and can not use anything with sugar. Perhaps one can be accommodated?
Arrangements were flawless: booking and road directions. Friendly reception, tidy room, lovely garden. I can confidently recommend Ka Ma.
A night well spent. Convenient stopover between Pretoria and Cape Town.
Everything went smoothly with bookings, accommodation, reception and departure. Staff friendly and all right with accommodation. Traffic on N1 didn't really bother.
From reception to departure was great. Hetle Nel went further out of her way to send water with us to Kaastad. She is an asset to you.
See rating.
Have stayed here several times and every time it was pleasant.
Road just noisy with lorries at night.
The lady at reception could have been more friendly. It had not been a welcome reception at all. Food at the restaurant was delicious, but the person serving just brought the bill - never asked if anything else was needed. A person would think that after 600 kilos and about 6 hours on the road, one could enjoy a more relaxed meal and enjoy another refreshment.
Just a pity you are located right on the main road. Trucks drive throughout the night. Apart from that, it is lovely there, as well as the lights on site that burn throughout the night are a bit disturbing, but we will definitely spend the night there again.
Very friendly staff and sufficient facilities for a quick stopover on the way to the Cape.
Everything went well with our booking and we got a good night's rest. Thank you.
Outside light was very bright shining directly into the room (2) and that is my only complaint.
Good value for money if you are looking for accommodation along the N1, as long as you are not bothered by the sounds of traffic. Nice bonus to have DStv in the room.
It was comfortable, very tidy and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Room no 12 is right next to the gas station so over New Year it was very noisy with everyone stopping there. The room was very neat but the shower head needs to be replaced because you couldn't shower properly. Furthermore, we really enjoyed the stay. Thank you.
Air conditioners whine. Rooms need attention. Service with dinner was poor and some of the dishes were really not edible. Will not stay here again.
Okay please. Arrived too late to be able to assess the pool's facilities and the garden. Very friendly and helpful reception.
Good value for money.
New receptionist and Lenel were very friendly. Pool was refreshing and garden well maintained. Room was neat and bedding clean. Would recommend for an overnight stay. Spaghetti was heated rock hard - my daughter was not impressed.
I chose to stay here for the Richmond Literary Festival because of excellent rates. The pleasant "inside" lawn and lovely willow tree offered some solitude during the morning and evening, however the unfortunate proximity to the N1 super-highway provided incessant rumbling throughout the night. The staff were most friendly.
Friendly reception and well rested. Not totally impressed with the food.
The place is clean, affordable and value for money. A remote controllable gate can be even more convenient.
I asked 3 times over the internet for them to move me. This was confirmed by email. When I got there I heard that they hadn't and this after I called the day before to confirm it. They shrugged their shoulders and declared that they were full and now sorry. Nice stay and they were helpful and friendly, but the attitude was negative.
Very good location and was surprised by the gem. Traffic can certainly make you uneasy because it is right next to the N1. We were so tired and it didn't bother us. Restaurant close at hand was very convenient. Will stay there again.
To be honest, it is a deserted Klein Karoo village. There is practically nothing except a petrol station, Ka Ma Logde and the restaurant.
The Ka Ma Lodge offers good value for money, the rooms are quite clean (carpet did not look too clean). Unfortunately the room smelled of smoke and the traffic on the N1 was very noisy all night. The restaurant was not too bad, although the service was reasonable a little professionalism would make it even better.
Besides area the lodge itself is good, clean. I was just amazed that there was no tea or coffee in the room and when I asked for 1 tea bag and 1 sachet of coffee for the morning was told they do not supply. At every other overnight establishment there was plenty of tea and coffee available in the rooms. Restaurant food good and waitress very friendly. The receptionist/manager was not the friendliest but not an issue will not go back there again. This was the most expensive of all the overnights we did.
Clean lodging, food dismal and expensive. Friendly reception.
We didn't have any problems with the accommodation. The trucks were noisy on the highway which kept us up a bit, but once you fall asleep you don't hear it anymore.
Overnight accommodation only. Bathrooms can be renovated. Had to ask three times for coffee etc to be delivered to the room. No teaspoons. Restaurant food not up to standard.
We would have loved to use the pool but, it was not clean and the shower could use an upgrade and the toilet needs to be fixed. Other than that, the room was spacious, the beds were comfortable and we were well rested to continue our journey the next day. Thank you.
Good reception. The person who showed us to our accommodation asked for the money immediately. Unpleasant smell in the room. Leaky roof after thunderstorm, carpet next to bed was soaking wet.
The traffic was desolate and the many stranded travellers who gathered all night outside the gate waited for lift. The area was very dirty outside the entrance gate. The bathroom was a nightmare - shower head did not pass water at all and we struggled with difficulty, which was not a pleasant experience, especially when one was tired of travelling.
Disappointingly, photos on the website create a false impression.
Nobody knew about us upon arrival. We have to fill in forms again and the staff are rude. There are no milk or tea in the rooms as described. The swimming pool is dirty and does not look like the photos. The place is on the N1 and every truck is a nuisance. We will not stay there again.
Would not recommend the place even to my enemies. Double booking that you are woken up at 11:30 by other guests who are also booked in the same room.
If we knew that this lodge was the one behind the CALTEX GARAGE, we would NOT had booked it at all. The road noise from trucks passing will keep one awake. There was no electricity in the town that night but they never had a generator for the guests rooms. Fortunately, we had the number of Be Blessed and so we booked in there. We have stayed there before and HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT! We were saved by Saag and Sumi. Pictures on your website are misleading for KaMa lodge. We forfeited our deposit
From arrival to departure everything was a good experience.
Close to main route to Cape Town. Good service.
At short notice we were able to find accommodation at KaMaLodge. The unit was very clean and everything we needed was available. The delicious meal in their restaurant is to be recommended. There was secure parking for our Vito bus and large trailer. It was the 2nd time we slept there and will again and again.
Value for money. Suitable for old and young and people with disabilities.
See star rating.
My wife uses a wheelchair and the accommodation assigned to us, was great. If I can make a suggestion; I would like to see the heater standing alone and not under the table. The heat is trapped under the table and then the rooms isn't heated properly.
The linen and everything was squeaky clean, so I have nothing to complain about. All the facilities were of a high standard. We had delicious food in the restaurant and I can really recommend the tripe.
The rooms are neat and clean, the restaurant and bar's prices are very reasonable and the food is of good quality. Customer service was also excellent. One of the workers made sure our cars were parked safely, that we had glasses and was really incredibly helpful. I really recommend this place as a stopover between Cape Town and Johannesburg.
Very well equipped, neat and a fabulous restaurant on the premises.
The room was spotless and neat and the staff were very friendly. The restaurant's food was divine and we had a nice stay.
Will be able to stay there again, only weak point for me was the shower is not very pleasant.
We were received by friendly people and experienced their positive hospitality throughout, although we only enjoyed a dinner there, the restaurant provided excellent service.
Ka Ma Lodge meets one's basic needs from overnight accommodation in the Karoo. Reasonable and clean with the convenience of a place to eat on the property.
Friendly reception, welcoming and we felt at home. Room was very neat and clean. Peaceful atmosphere. Will definitely recommend it to anyone.
We were kindly welcomed and immediately taken to our room. Rooms are clean and tidy, but please realize that these are overnight facilities only (a room and bathroom). Cars are behind a gate that is locked at night and there was a security guard. There is a neat back garden and nice grass with large shade trees. The pool was green and full of leaves, but we still dipped our feet in it. The restaurant is definitely recommended! The food is delicious and the people very friendly! I would not recommend sleepovers for light sleepers! However, we slept well after we were tired from driving and got up early again to continue driving. It is next to the N1 and you sometimes hear trucks during the night but it is not too disturbing. We chose the place precisely because it is next to the N1 and convenient for travel. Thank you very much for good service!
Was there for a wedding, so we got ready there, got back late that evening and left again next morning. Place has a neat back garden, they just need to take the leaves out the swimming pool, otherwise nice lawn to sit in the shade. It's next to the N1 so you can hear the lorries in the night but it's not that bothersome, choose the place because it's close to the N1 and convenient for travelling though. Rooms beautifully upgraded since I've stayed here a few years ago, so can be recommended. Car is behind a gate with a security guard at night.
Friendly and comfortable and would stay here again.
Rooms are comfortable and value for money. However, both times there was something bothering. Very bright security light made sleep impossible in first room. Second visit the room did not have aircon and noise right next to the garage also made sleeping difficult. Nice place with a top restaurant, but not the best night's sleep, unfortunately.
This is a pit stop on the way to Cape Town.
Had a lovely stay. Noise from the road does however bother. If you are tired of driving, you eat, shower and sleep. Restaurant was very nice.
We arrived at a typical small town garage. To tell the truth, we were a bit worried, and we hoped we were at the wrong place. When we arrived at reception/the restaurant they welcomed us with open arms. We were showed to our rooms immediately, with safe parking inside a safe parking area. The room was clean, beautiful and tidy, with air conditioning (it was a scorching day so the air con was wonderful). Delicious foor at the restaurant. Overall we were really impressed and we will definitely recommend this place to anyone.
Was our 2nd time and would stay there again.
Very friendly staff. Place was very neat and well equipped for self catering even if there is a restaurant. Everything needed was provided. 100 percent convenient for an overnight stay on the way to the beautiful Cape.
Had a great stay, thank you very much for the warm blanket on the bed. It was freezing cold on the 24th of November. N1 vehicles didn't bother. Had dinner in the restaurant. Was very tasty and definitely more than enough. Thank you very much for your hospitality and kindness.
It's clean, tidy with a nice place to eat. Just throw something over the curtain rail for the light that shines in and take a sleeping pill for the road noise. We were received hospitably with no problems.
We checked in only a few minutes before 22:00, and they even let us order something at the restaurant. Excellent service and it felt safe and secure. Will stay there again. Thanks Ka Ma Lodge! Would have been great to stay for a longer time.
Linen not very fresh but certainly good value for money. Air conditioning in room was a nice bonus. Excellent service. Recommended.
The paraplegic room is 100% equipped and made it a pleasurable stay for a person in a wheelchair.
Staff very friendly, restaurant meal was good. Rooms clean and tidy.
Was pleasant to spend the night there. The reception was simple and we found our room easily with a friendly security guard helping us. Ka Ma Lodge is located very close to N1, it was easy to get there without any extra kilometers on our journey. The noise from the main road may be a problem for light sleepers.
Clean and neat room, good value for money. The champion is the garden though and the swimming pool. It was 43 degrees that day and the swimming pool was heavenly. Only thing that bothered me was the 3-in-1 coffee because we drink black, bitter coffee. We were sorry that we hadn't discovered this place when our children were small because the garden and pool were the best aspect of our journey home.
Situated on the N1 almost exactly half way between Cape Town and Johannesburg. It is a convenient overnight stop. The rooms are clean and neat and the staff are very helpful. Excellent food at a reasonable price.
Totally happy with the accommodation. Well located for travellers between Johannesburg and Cape Town.
The room was very neat and clean. The restaurant has very good food and a good atmosphere.
The stay was peaceful and had everything we needed.
From the reception to the dinner the service we received was excellent. The room was really well appointed to suit our needs. Will stay there again.
The braai area was dirty and we didn't sleep well!
Reception was friendly, staff helpful and room was clean and tidy. Was value for money.
Comfortable overnight stay en route to Knysna. A little noise from the main road.
After a long journey you can rest and relax here. Nice garden with swimming pool and braai facilities.
Location is not very good! Heavy vehicle traffic right through the night which makes it very difficult to get a peaceful night's rest!
Pros: Warm blanket. Negative points: Not self catering - just plate and knife and fork, no milk, restaurant - all three different meals.
We were placed in a room which is located practically opposite the main road and trucks drive on the route throughout the night. This condition interferes with one's night's rest.
Rooms are too close to the N1 and the front door and windows look right onto the freeway, therefore the constant noise makes sleeping quite difficult. The swimming pool was so dirty that it was impossible to see the bottom, so we decided not to take a refreshing swim. The service by the staff, however, was good and the restaurant can also be recommended.
Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
The room was hot and humid. Would have wanted them to switch the aircon on an hour before our arrival (they were aware of our exact arrival time). The fridge didn't work and we were told that the owner didn't like fridges being switched between rooms. After 90 minutes of struggling we finally got another fridge.
When we checked in the lady seemed very surprised at our arrival. Coffee and tea in the room wasn't ready when we arrived, only topped up later. My parents' room door knocked all the time due to the wind. Behind the building is a large tree of which the branch constantly hits on the corrugated iron. Would recommend the restaurant. If you order Earl Grey you are served a mixture of rooibos and Early Grey, and then the staff argue with you about it. If you order a ham, cheese and tomato sandwich, they serve a sandwich with only ham and cheese.
The first overnight stay was acceptable for the price. We rebooked for our return trip and were checked into the same room. The service was friendly but the room was left dirty and not cleaned at all after our previous visit. It was a disillusionment. Will never stay there again. Asked for money back and drove on instead.
Wouldn't stay there again soon. It's on the N1 and very noisy. The accommodation is okay, but we didn't have warm water that night and the light outside shines in through the window.
The photo of the lodge is misleading, sine you don't see the view at all when you get to the lodge and to your room. You only see the view from the bathroom windows of some rooms. Booking in was chaos since our reservation wasn't communicated to the front desk and, as we could deduce from the dining room which is next to the front desk, there were problems with 3 other guests' reservations. There was one helpful young lady (who apparently started working here recently) who acted as receptionist, bar man, waitress and general staffer. There was another older lady later who looked like she could've been the owner or manager, but she was very unfriendly. The first room we were placed in smelled of smoke and we asked to be moved. The rooms are very basic with mattresses on a concrete base and there was the sound of cars and truck through the night since it's right next to the freeway. The next morning when we had to hand back the key the older lady just said "just give it to me", took the key and walked away without greeting. I really can't recommend this accommodation.
The swimming pool is very refreshing in the heat of the Karoo.
Nicely rested after a long day on the road, neat peaceful atmosphere.
It is a very nice, clean and tidy room with a good kitchen and bathroom. There is also an electric blanket on the bed for cold nights. The dinner in the restaurant was tasteful and delicious.
Comfortable room. The shower was a bit small. Delicious food at the restaurant and the staff were very friendly.
It's definitely value for money! It's easy to find and the restaurant stays open late for check-in. Will visit again!
The braai area is nice and the ladies in the kitchen were very helpful with salads etc. Very well located! Very good service!
Good value. Everything you need on site, shop, restaurant, swimming pool. Ideal for an overnight stay on the way to Cape Town. Will not stay in the village longer than one night.
The unit is very well equipped, spotless and neat. Didn't eat there, so cannot comment about that.
Clean and safe, it suited our needs. Pizza at the restaurant was terrific. Good service and easy to find.
Pleasant stay. Room is well equipped and fan comes in very handy for the hot Karoo evenings. Would have been nice if the bar fridge had been switched on beforehand. Shower head leaves much to be desired and shower wets entire floor. Big plus is the soap dispenser in the shower! Breakfast was tasty and good value for money.
Neat - slept well - nothing was lacking - thank you!
The unit was nice and the staff friendly. Enjoyed a nice dinner, really value for money.
Would help a lot if they installed air conditioning, it was 37 degrees when we stopped there.
Basic accommodation for families with kids, and a nice big pool to use on a hot summer afternoon in the Kalahari.
Fantastic service and accommodation. Nice and cool swimming pool to cool off in after a long day in the hot car. Dinner at the restaurant was first class.
Very neat and clean.
I wasn't in Richmond long enough.
Value for money for an overnight stay. Only problem is the noise from the N1. Will go back!
The kitchen and bathroom area were very poorly planned, the sinks in both are basically unreachable. The owners could really do something to make the place look as advertised on the website. Everything was nice and clean and we were grateful for that. The place can definitely only be used for 1 night overnight stay.
Windows in the room could have been opened more early so as not to smell stuffy. The room and bathroom were clean and sufficient for one night's sleep. Would prefer if the coffee in the room didn't just consist of Ricoffy. The managers of Ka Ma Lodge and restaurant were very friendly.
The service was particularly good, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the food is delicious, just a shame that the lodge is so close to the N1 because the noise caused us to not be able to sleep well.
Place very neat and easy to find. Food was delicious.
Do not. Owners attitude is bad. Service in the store was bad. No hotdog buns and only one burger bun left. Won't be back.
First of all - this is not a lodge. This is a simple motel type accommodation. If it was described as such, my rating would be better. Positives were value for money, clean rooms, located right next to highway (if this is what you are looking for) - there isn't much else around. The negatives: absolutely terrible service in the restaurant. We waited more than one and a half hours for simple meal of steak, hotdog and curry (curry was premade, and hot dog and steak really do not take that long to make). The shop also did not have much of the food selection. The pool was badly maintained, I would be scared to use it as it was murky green. There are no facilities for children at all, not even a simple swing and/or monkey bars. In essence - if you are planning to arrive late and don't mind waiting for dinner (or are not bothered) that this is probably the best you are going to get in the area. If you don't mind driving a bit further, there is a lot more accommodation around Colesberg and a bit before (around Gariep Dam). We arrived relatively early, and were expecting a lodge facilities, hence our disappointment.
Staff not at all friendly. Place is clean and okay for one night's stop over. The food in the restaurant was terrible. The shop had no ice, no cold drinks in the fridge and just bad service all round. I definitely would not stay there again.
Although the restaurant section of the "lodge" and the takeaways are acceptable, the toilets of the Caltex garage are poor and untidy. The immediate area in front of the lodge is full of idlers and beggars. Although the entrance to the lodge consists of a steel sliding gate and a steel door it is of no value as anyone can open it from the outside. Sorry, but will not stay overnight in Richmond again.
Good service with good food. Friendly and made us feel at home.
No complaints at all, value for money, restaurant service excellent, Linda was an excellent host and is an asset to the lodge. Venison pie was tops, staff very friendly, emergency power supply available to cope with load shedding. Would recommend the lodge to anybody looking for a stopover. Lovely horse museum in the town. Beautiful church.
The on-site restaurant makes it much more convenient.
After a hot day on the road, the warm welcome and tidy room was a wonderful experience!
If only it were what you wanted. Staff were eager and quick to replace a broken boiler. Clean and tidy. Would recommend as a place to stay.
Beautiful place! Had a wonderful stay. Safe and nice rooms. Great prices. Will use them again!
Would recommend Ka Ma Lodge anytime. Rooms very comfortable and the staff go out of their way to make your stay comfortable.
As a quick stopover and rest, Ka Ma Lodge is ideal. Basic, clean and tidy. Staff friendly.
It is only slightly close to the highway.
Ka Ma Lodge was very clean and tidy. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was well equipped. Although Ka Ma Lodge provided for load shedding with a generator, unfortunately it was very close to my window.
At Ka Ma Lodge you really get more than you pay for. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. The staff is friendly and the big garden with swimming pool was a pleasant surprise. Very good value for money indeed.
People very hospitable and friendly.
Nice stay. Comfortable room with secure parking. Only complaint is the shower from which a very powerful jet of water came (possibly to do with the drought?). Good value for money.
We were very satisfied, the place was clean and tidy and it was good value for our money.
I would only recommend Ka Ma Lodge to travelers like us who only need to spend the night between the Cape and the north of SA. The location is ideal and next to the N1, although we didn't hear any noise during the night. This is not luxury accommodation. The rooms are neat and clean. What bothered is that the towels are very old and worn. We had a nice meal in the restaurant which is open until 10 pm and is definitely a plus for travelers who arrive late. It was also nice to sit in the garden and the pool also looked cool and promising.
Neat and comfortable and reasonable. The units near the road are subject to traffic noise. Sleeps 3 but only 2 cups for coffee?
The site is unfortunately a bit close to the main road. Noise through the night is quite bad. Out of season it should be lovely with less traffic. The owner Mr Smit very pleasant. Enjoyed him. For me and my grandson, the pool was a HUGE hit. It was very clean and was able to cool us down nicely. The staff is friendly and pleasant. For an overnight stay I would go again.
The room was comfortably equipped but it was very noisy due to the location of the room.
Tidy. Just very close to N1.
The reception was not a good experience. There were no lights at the pool when we wanted to swim. No explanation of the facilities. Did sleep well. Faucets in bathroom were below standard because they are loose. Furthermore, very nice and central. At least expect information from the town in the rooms.
Booking was for three adults. There were three beds, but cups and glasses for two people. The toilet's water kept running out and the towels were also only enough for two people.
Comfortable and clean, but not peaceful with the noise of the traffic right next to the accommodation. Rooms also definitely lack air conditioning. It was very stuffy even with the fans.
This is a basic accommodation option.
Room is well equipped and clean, and the restaurant great! Security is a problem. Wires were cut and the security had to patrol all night. Apparently it's an old problem according to the workers. Road noise also bothers a bit.
We got a room facing the main road. We didn't sleep at all that night because the noise of the N1. Some of my personal items were stolen from the room which is a massive financial, intellectual and personal loss. I have tried to raise my complaint to the management, but have not yet received any response. When we left early in the morning there were 2 men on the premises who made us feel terribly unsafe. Dinner at the lodge was not very pleasant either. Without taking the theft into account, the whole experience was still not very pleasant.
The ideal stopover on the way to Mossel Bay/Cape.
Was a pleasure staying overnight in Ka Ma Lodge. Well located between Johannesburg and George.
Rooms are neat and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed the sleepover.
Convenient for just a one-night stopover. Close to the highway and the passing trucks bother a little but not too bad.
Rooms neat and clean. Restaurant offers good service.
It doesn't look good from the outside, but the rooms are clean, comfortable and cool. And the garden is lovely! Clean pool, lovely big willow tree and the restaurant sends out drinks if you ask. The restaurant was better than we expected - standard SA food at reasonable prices. The photos on the website are not misleading.
Ka Ma Lodge is clean and tidy and some of the best available in Richmond. The accommodation is along the main road and it was very busy during the time we were there. There was a kettle and cups, but no coffee or tea in the room.
Everything I needed for an overnight stay.
A bit noisy.
Noise from the heavy vehicles on the N1 and from the motor port is slightly disturbing.
Not quite the experience I expected, based on their profile, but it served its purpose.
Air conditioning is noisy. Bedding clean, but stained.
Ka Ma Lodge is dishonest in that they do not inform their customers about the tremendous road noise from the N1. The N1 was 12 m from my room. I will not stay there again. I would not recommend the place either. At least they could have provided earplugs in the rooms.
Friendly staff, check in efficiently handled. The rooms were neat and clean, sufficient amenities for overnight stay. A pity though that in one unit the TV was not working and in another there was no sound. Staff unable to fix problem. Only one set of clean towels left in one unit, towels in bathroom were not clean and had definitely been used by previous occupants. Suggest that staff attend to these problems before guests check-in. Otherwise, a decent stay.
The room was clean and comfortable. It is nice with the garden and pool. The staff were friendly and helpful. If you plan to eat at the restaurant expect to wait a little longer for the food.
Slight check-in issue at Ka-Ma Lodge has been sent to appropriate parties. We asked for a extra mattress in our unit, as we were now five travelling and not four, and this wasn't arranged prior our arrival. However when we asked staff that evening for an extra mattress, they placed an additional one in our unit pretty quickly, for which we were grateful. We used their restaurant facilities which were good.
The only issue was the space provided was not enough. Too small a room, bath is too too small.
