Guests should please note that the property is ONLY accessible by a boat or canoe which the host will provide.Guests should keep in mind the property is in a natural setting and can expect the surroundings to be wet and muddy at times.
Guests should be aware that they might find insects or wild animals such as baboons surrounding the areas.
The property is completely off-the-grid, no TV and Wi-Fi are available.
Pets are allowed on the premises.
Parties are strictly prohibited on the premises.
Please note that the cottage operates on limited solar power. Guests are not allowed to connect additional devices such as camping freezers, appliances with motors (e.g., hair dryers), large battery banks, or any other devices that may drain power excessively. The power provided is intended for lighting and charging cell phones. Guests may also use a laptop to check emails for an hour or 2 per day.
In the event of cloudy days, the hosts may need to run the generator for a few hours to supplement the power supply.
The host monitors the power remotely and will contact guests if the generator needs to be activated. The host will provide petrol for the generator to charge the batteries if the solar power is insufficient due to consecutive cloudy days.
If guests' electricity usage exceeds the normal amount, indicating a need for generator backup power, the cost of petrol will be charged to the guests.
Guests will leave their vehicles in public parking before embarking on a boat trip to the cottage by boat or canoe.
