Perfectly situated, beautifully decorated beach getaway. We received such a warm welcome from the owners of the Kaijaiki that we felt like old friends. The unit we stayed in had everything we needed. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic and the coffee is to die for. What an amazing place to spend a weekend with family or friends. We will definitely go back. Rene and Mary Anne are born hosts. From our stop we were immediately spoiled with delicious coffee. We had dinner and it was like being in a small French restaurant in Europe - log fire, wine and excellent food at very good prices. We slept wonderfully warm and enjoyed a delicious breakfast the next morning. We will definitely stay here again, we were spoiled.

The unit is very central, so we could walk to the sea and to the nearest shop. The location is very good. Rene and Mary Ann were very friendly. We told them about the gas leak at the gas cylinder and I believe they will take care of it.
My son was terrified when we saw a black spider by his bedside, that was real off-putting to be honest.
Electric blankets only work partially. Got a cold. Kitchen not clean. Bathroom unacceptably inadequate.
Definitely does not meet the 3 star rating it was given. We didn't even know that we booked for B&B. I thought it was for self catering. Nothing communicated, no information in the rooms, except to say breakfast served from 7h30 to 8h15. Some emergency numbers, that did not include theirs. They never replenished the tea/coffee and milk on daily basis. Only gave us clean towels. Bathroom facilities awkward. Noise levels from rooms directly next door to us. No security, we were directly onto the open parking area, which was onto the road.
The restaurant at the guest house makes delicious food. The guesthouse offers good value for money.

I had a very nice stay. Was well received and welcomed. It was nice and quiet and I felt safe. Breakfast was very nice, I just felt that it was rushed. I would have liked to order another coffee, but was not offered the option. Felt like I had to eat and finish.
The restaurant was an unexpected surprise. I had booked elsewhere for dinner, but ended up cancelling due to the convenience factor. The meal was excellent and good value for money. Perhaps the restaurant should be advertised before guests get there. All in all a great stay and we would return.
The food and service are excellent. Rooms are equipped with fireplace, heater and mattress warmer which makes it very cozy for a cold winter evening along the West Coast.
The guest house met all our expectations. We had a very nice stay. Was pleasantly surprised with the service and how nice, clean and spacious our unit was. Initially had a problem with DStv connection and hot water, but upon inquiry to the owners, it was rectified immediately and with the necessary urgency. We will definitely visit there again. The Dutch theme and dishes in the restaurant are also very interesting and something different from the usual.
Rene, the owner gave us a friendly welcome and made delicious dinner. The ocean is only a few minutes' walk from the cottage, and the beach has beautiful white sand.

I enjoyed my stay at Kaijaiki Country Inn. The room I had was spacious and clean. It was what I expected for the accommodation price class. There was filter coffee in the room which was a luxury I do not see often at the places I stay. Although dinner was nice it was on the expensive side. Rene was very accommodating in making breakfast earlier than the usual 8:30. The omelet he suggested for breakfast was nice. Although the place do not have a sea view it is a short walk to the beach. Will definitely consider Kaijaiki again. The accommodation was value for money.
I would have appreciated complimentary basket of fire wood and fire starters. If the shop had closed we wouldn't have been able to make a fireplace and now you are sitting with a stinky pack of fire lighters in your car. I didn't realize that room had single beds and it was frustrating, but that's my own fault, I should have read better. However, one does not expect accommodation without at least one double bed. Place is neat, centrally located, food is good, but on the expensive side. Overall I would recommend this as a package.

Our experience with Kaijaiki was only that when we left the next morning (everything was paid 14 days in advance by LekkeSlaap) we still had to pay a deposit of R470. This was the only accommodation where we had to pay. The previous dinner was delicious but also excessively expensive.
We had a great time at Renè van Kaijaiki's! Renè was a really good host and he went out of his way to make us feel at home at Kaijaiki. Renè also has a lot of knowledge of the environment. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!
