We really enjoyed our time. Can only make one suggestion that the black garbage bags should be maybe 2 to 3 bags for a week's stay and not just one. Otherwise there are no problems and everything is fine.
Kaja vir Baja is a beautiful unit and very nicely set up although it could definitely do with some love. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfy, although we had no fans and the portable aircon isn't sufficient, especially against mosquitoes. Thankful for the windows that had netting over them. The kitchen has the basics, although we had no scissors, and the cupboards have a chemical cleaning smell, so nothing in them is appetizing to use. We just washed and kept the dishes in the drying rack to use again. An airfryer would go a long way in this kitchen as well as a fan. The inverter system is wonderful, and we didn't even notice the load shedding. The outside area is lovely to sit in, and you feel very safe at all times. The grass area is also very nice to enjoy with dogs, although the grass in front of the unit is now garden tiles. The electric fence is a worry with the dogs. Sporadic warning signs at dog height would be ideal. An outside bin to dispose of dog poop would also be nice. We arrived to numerous dog droppings all over the garden which we had to pick up ourselves and then have nowhere to put them. The fact that the house is literally across from the beach makes everything worth it. Lovely location and beautiful beaches. Area security was also great. With a few improvements, this place could be magnificent. Look forward to visiting again in the future.
We had a wonderful stay at Kaja for Baja. Very peaceful environment and beautiful garden. Short distance to the sea. Will definitely stay there again.
This was the second visit and last. The electric fence does not work at all. The room ventilator with water blast also does not work. There are better places for per day. My wife cleaned tops of cupboards.
Would definitely recommend staying there as it is very close to the beach with a big garden area. Was disappointed that the bathrooms were not clean when we got there and the cleaning lady did not come for her once-a-week cleaning. The owners were very pleasant and helpful. For future holidaymakers when typing the address into Google Maps, it gives you the wrong location, so I suggest sending a pin location so that the place can be found easily.

The unit was neat and tidy. Friendly assistance from the caretakers. We would recommend Kaja vir Baja to anyone. The location is wonderful and the beach is stunning!
We were four friends who were really looking forward to a visit to the sea. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate which turned out to be the highlight of the cottage - the stoep. We were still able to enjoy a nice and dry visit on the stoep around the fire. Excellent service - the caretaker is very friendly and incredibly helpful and really went out of her way to help us with the little problems that came up. She's friendly and concerned about her guests. It's clean and tidy and there are new bedding and good beds and everything we needed in the kitchen. There are only a few small quirks about the house, and small things that are a little tired (because it's just an old house, and old houses have their quirks), but nothing that detracts from the homely atmosphere that the cottage has. do not have. Security is top notch - upon arrival I accidentally pressed the panic button instead of the alarm button, and within minutes the security company was there. And they were just as friendly and helpful. We also frequently saw the area being patrolled.
I really enjoyed my stay and would like to thank Verna for all her help and a wonderful place. I would definitely recommend it.
This Cottage is neatly equipped with everything you expect, it makes you feel right at home. There is a large patio area where we enjoyed hanging out in the evenings, even when it rained. The Cottage is well sheltered from the wind from the coast. We were kindly received on our arrival and will definitely book again for our next holiday.
We received wonderful service from Wanda and Willie. The accommodation is very neat and clean. Gardens are very well maintained. Very close to the sea, can recommend it to anyone.
The house is very neat. The only problem was the DStv not working for the entire period we were there. We reported it and people were sent out to fix it which didn't work. Just worked in the morning until about 4 o'clock and then went off.
Very good. The place is very nice and safe. Your animals are safe. It's very close to the beach. It's nice and quiet there with waves breaking in the back ground. The owner is very helpful and friendly.
Kaja vir Baja is a comfortable beach house. It may be dated but it is all you need for a base for visting the beach and surrounding areas. The large verandah is great for having meals and hanging out. The verandah also had a mini pool table for the kids. The house and property is alarmed with electric fencing, making you feel safe at night and when away at the beach. Will return in the near future.

Our sea holiday at Kaja for Baja was very nice and we were able to take our Yorkie with us. We were well received and the accommodation was clean and tidy. The place is well equipped, with an ice maker and a freezer which helped us a lot. Just walk across the road and follow the walkway and you are on the beach. Thank you, we enjoyed it!
I would definitely find another cleaner to clean the cottage. She came to do our floors the Wednesday but her work is definitely not up to standard and no one is watching her doing her job properly. We found some of the cutlery in the drawer that still had food, some of the serving bowls were still dirty with food and the can opener could be replaced. A few serving spoons can be purchased and the knives are disappointing. We had a very serious ant problem. And then what was also inconvenient is that the 1 room was outside the security gate, I would definitely include the second wooden cabin outside with the security of the porch, the room doesn't have a bathroom and they had to go outside on the grass and it was a lady!
We really enjoyed our stay! The stoep is a nice place to visit and the house itself is neat and simple, yet practical. Our dogs loved the yard and the beach, while the electric fence kept everyone inside. Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay at Kaja for Baja! The stoep is a hit! The cottage is well equipped. The beach is less than a 5 minute walk away. Glenmore's swimming beach is about a 10 minute walk away.
The right place to get away from all the running around of modern life and to get some perspective.
We enjoyed the visit incredibly much and had everything we could need. We were even able to cope with a 24 hour power cut because the accommodation is equipped with a lovely gas stove. The Cottage was built in the 1940s, but very nicely upgraded. "Home away from Home" with the lovely bonus that the sea is just across the street. Will definitely check in there again!

An exceptionally nice holiday we spent in Kaja vir Baja cottage. Our expectations were exceeded. "Home from home". Criticism: The bed frame (in the room with the shower and sink) was broken when we arrived (the cross middle frame slipped out). The can opener didn't work (went to buy our own). We will definitely use Kaja for Baja again for a next vacation.

The beach is not even 100 m away and was almost exclusively for us.
A lovely living house where you can really relax and just enjoy your holiday with the perfect location. Definitely something special away from the hustle and bustle of city life, yet close enough if you need something.
That was all the ad said. There was no luxury, but we were ready for this. Unfortunately we did not find it very clean. The red blanket on top of our bed smelled like stinky feet. So we weren't sure if the bedding on the bed (duvet and sheets) was really clean. The terribly big request (on the printed paper behind the front door), that you must leave the house clean and tidy for the next visitor, made us wonder if someone actually comes to clean between visits? I realize it might just be a request to take good care of the place, but seeing that we didn't find it very clean, the request made me wonder.
Kaja for Baja impressed us from the start and we enjoyed it immensely. The tranquility and beautiful nature are truly an asset and we will definitely want to come back again!
It felt like our own little house by the sea.
The place was ideal for us because the sea was only a short walk away. The cottage is a family beach house that is nicely furnished, but don't expect any luxuries. Still, there is everything one needs and the off-season price was excellent. We had a great stay and I would highly recommend the place.
