The unit was ready, clean and everything needed was there. Very practical layout and secure parking. Hostess goes out of her way to make everything as comfortable as possible, incredibly friendly and helpful. Really very peaceful. Ideal place to just relax from the city life.
Unfortunately, this was only an overnight stay, but as such it was perfect. The cottage contained everything we needed, Brenda was incredibly helpful, and the location is almost next door to the best bakery on the West Coast! So we were very happy with our stay. For a longer stay, the sheltered courtyard would be great to sit outside in a safe area with braai facilities. Highly recommended.
My husband and I really enjoyed our visit. The place to stay is located nicely to one side of the village which makes it nice and quiet and if you sit on the stoepie and visit/barbeque you can even hear the sound of the sea. The owner was very friendly upon our arrival and the accommodation itself was so clean and tidy with a kitchen that has everything you could need to make good food and so much more. The bedding and towels were clean and tidy, and there were even some snacks set out to make it feel personally welcoming. The information leaflets of all the surrounding villages were also very helpful as it was our first time in the West Coast. I would definitely advise anyone, with or without children, to stay and rest here.

We as a family really enjoyed it. The weekend was just a little too cold and windy.
We were in the Namib cottage. Very tidy with everything you need. We were surprised with the extra snacks that were left for us. My husband really enjoyed the sauna! The wind can blow, there is a nice indoor barbecue! Walking distance from the campsite and sea. Will definitely come back again!

We were pleasantly surprised when we drove through the security gate and discovered the beautiful place. First of all, thanks to Brenda for her warm welcome. Kalahari & Namib Cottages are very neat and clean. The place is equipped with everything and anything else. We were surprised about the jacuzzi and sauna as it is not in the description. There is an outdoor and indoor braai area that you don't see everywhere. In English there is a proverb: attention to small details will ultimately yield the greatest results. There was coffee, tea, sugar, milk, fruit juices and biscuits for us to use. I would recommend Kalahari & Namib Cottages anytime. The peaceful place just creeps deep into your heart.
Brenda was very friendly. The place is perfect for group or family get together or even just as a couple get away. Its walking distance from the beach which is a peaceful area. Very clean beach. Cottages are very homey. We had a very nice stay and Brenda was n great host. Brenda checked in with us every now and then to make sure we have everything we need and are comfortable. Had a lovely stay. Its a safe quiet area.
What a neat and well-furnished place and as a bonus the sea is a 2 minute walk away. Not to mention the friendly and professional service from Brenda. I would definitely recommend her cottages to couples who want to get away from today's busy schedules. Will make a reservation again soon.
When we arrived we immediately felt at home. The location was great and close to everything. The sea just around the corner. We felt very welcome when we walked in. Would go back to stay there again anytime.

Brenda immediately made us feel at home! The place is very neat, modern and comfortable. I enjoyed the absolute privacy even though there were still guests in the second unit. Also appreciated the little treats and flowers.
Brenda is a pleasant person and we immediately felt welcome. It is very private and peaceful and one immediately feels comfortable. It is really walking distance from the sea and shops and one also feels safe because of the tranquility and the beautiful surroundings. It is quiet and one can unwind in the piece of paradise. The secluded little garden and the braai area are comfortable and the coolness under the tree is really festive. There is more than enough equipment in the place to literally just take your clothes and brush your teeth with you. The secure parking is also a big plus point and it provides the necessary peace of mind.
Brenda is friendly and very helpful, thank you very much. Maybe there can only be a 1 plate gas bottle available for load shedding times.
The accommodation was extremely suitable for our purposes of staying overnight during a flower viewing tour. What stood out was Belinda, our hostess,'s care to make sure we felt at home and that everything was in order. Her recommendation of a local restaurant was also spot on.
TV channels can improve and WiFi should be available.
Property very nice and tidy. All the equipment etc. worked, enough plates, glasses, mugs etc. The tea and coffee provided was a very nice surprise as we had forgotten to pack. However, the chimney did not draw well, so the braai room was full of smoke when we braaied on Saturday night. My sleeping pillow wasn't comfortable, and I woke up often, but that's probably specific to myself, since no one else had a problem.
Brenda was exceptionally thoughtful and hospitable. The house is comfortable, clean and tidy - every little thing in its place. We had a great time and will definitely stay there again. The house is walking distance from the beach and very safely located.
