There was no one to receive us, but the location is good. The place is very beautiful and it's very peaceful.

Although the unit is equipped with fans, it is very hot in the middle of summer with no air conditioning. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you might need to prepare food (and the fridge came stocked with a little milk and cold water and the freezer with ice, which was very welcome).
The house is very well equipped with everything you need. We really enjoyed the pool. This hostess made a special effort. There was fresh milk in the fridge, muffins and biscuits to snack on.

Place well equipped and had a good time.
There was a power failure in the area as a result of motor vehicle accident. We were provided with standby lighting, wood for heating and our host even warmed the prepared supper we had brought. She went out of her way to make our stay as comfortable as possible inspite of the lack of power.
Conveniently located to the Moffat Mission Museum. Unfortunately, it appears that the NW Provincial authorities have closed it for visitors.
Despite torrential rain and a power outage we had lights and a warm log fire. Janet goes out of her way to make everything as perfect as possible. We will definitely stay there again. The house is fully equipped and very comfortable.

A bit far out of town if you want to stay in town, but definitely a good and safe address. The stoep and braai place is a cozy place to visit. The Cottage has a lot of space. Lovely warm beds. The bathroom is small, but everything that is needed. Hot water is immediately available in the taps. Products at the sinks and shower were a pleasure to use as was the full size coffee, sugar, powdered milk and 1 liter long life milk in the fridge. Although we took drinking water with us for the weekend, the 5 liter can of water was a surprise. There are 500 ml bottles of water in the fridge.

Janet and her daughter go out of their way to inform you well and make you feel comfortable with attention to detail - eg. the things I always have to take with me because most guesthouses don't provide them are available at Kalahari Hide - like paper towels, salt and pepper in the kitchen, electric lanterns in case of loadshedding, tissues in the bathroom etc. But the lounge chairs are very uncomfortable. The "2-seaters" are more of a 1.5-seater with a plank in the middle - my left buttock is still numb after a night on one of those - I think 2 small people would sit comfortably on it, but no normally formed adult does not. The space in the bathroom is very limited. Nowhere to put your toiletry bag and clothes except on the toilet seat. The sink is tiny and squeezed between the wall and shower with no "elbow cream". I had to wash my face on the guy and at the kitchen sink. I'm glad it was just a place to sleep. Location is so-so. Definitely quieter than in town, but the streets there are poor with what feels like thousands of mini speed bumps so you can't drive more than 30 km/h even though the speed limit is 60 km/h. I was also disappointed that I couldn't see some woodland birds there - only heard chickens, ducks and a parrot and saw a few pigeons. I think I see more woodland birds in my yard in Pretoria in 5 minutes than I saw on the plot outside Kuruman in 2 hours.
Neat and modern, clean and hot water. Comfortable beds. Friendly service. Nicely furnished. Just not crazy about the environment which is clearly deteriorating. Otherwise very nice place and will go there again.

The garden apartment is definitely value for money. The hostess was very friendly, and little treats were laid out. Not the most modern place to stay, and maybe the single beds in the second bedroom could be upgraded at some point. The master bedroom's bed was wonderfully comfortable. Refrigerator maybe previous generation, with a little attention needed, but for a night or two of sleep, more than sufficient.

It is situated well away from dirty Kuruman city centre with a farm-like feeling. Janet, our host, was very friendly and made us feel at home.

Janet was a caring and delightful hostess. The rooms are stylish and comfortable, fabulous bed, great hot shower and all the comforts needed after a long drive. Privacy is great with a lovely patio but access to the pool area close by. Janet took time to give directions to areas of interest and ensure we had everything we needed. A real Kuruman gem in a lovely garden!

We were very kindly received by Janet and quickly taken to our cottage. It was a surprise - a two bedroom cottage with everything you need. It has its own washing machine and we were able to wash our dusty clothes nicely. Janet we will definitely visit again and recommend to friends and family.
After the long drive from Gauteng, it felt like I was sitting on my own porch and listening to the animal sounds while the sun was setting. Would definitely recommend the place if you don't want to stay in the busy town and noise.

The room was quite newly built and the back porch was not yet finished, when completed it will be quite an asset so that the visitor can sit and relax on the porch in private. The Cottage can sleep up to 5 guests. The units are a distance from the main house to offers guests their privacy. There are 2 bedrooms that share the use of a bathroom. The main bedroom has a queen-size bed, the second has 2 single beds, and a sleeper couch is available in the lounge. The Cottage also has a fully equipped kitchen, as well as a open-plan dining and lounge area with a TV with selected DStv channels including KykNet, M-Net and Supersport. There is also a patio with a braai area as well as parking space in front of the cottage.
The Semi Self-catering Rooms are furnished with queen-size beds and have en-suite bathrooms with showers.
