Was very clean and comfortable. A quiet night on the edge of town. Very accommodating hosts.
Very friendly reception. Lovely place to stay.
Hostess particularly friendly and helpful. Place well equipped and tidy.
Very suitable for overnight stays. Would suggest removing all the boards from the walls. There are special wall hangings that give the room sufficient decoration. The crowded walls make the room look very busy! "Block out" curtains will also help a lot because the security lights outside that illuminate the room over.
We were very comfortable. Only small problem is the place is very cluttered. There is nowhere to put anything!
The hostess very friendly.
Spoiled with breakfast as a value add.
Place is clean, tidy, safe.
We only slept over during our Northern Cape tour. The accommodation was very suitable for that.
It is an incredibly beautiful place and so clean and tidy. Although we did not see the owners, because we arrived late, she stayed in contact with us by phone, which made us feel very at home and welcome. I absolutely recommend the place. It's also animal friendly which is a big plus. My dog kids just wanted to eat the cement donkey standing in the garden, haha. At least they made friends.
Value for money, neat units and safe, warm too.
Will definitely recommend it to my friends. We were received kindly and were immediately at ease.
All was good. First time in this part of the country's side.
Would recommend and there is secure parking behind a locking gate.
Very friendly reception, clean and fully equipped, walking distance to restaurant and shops.
Dusty streets and very little to see, but the people are friendly and helpful.
Value for money, very friendly and great atmosphere.
Spacious, clean, tastefully furnished and quiet surroundings. Warm and friendly welcome by Marie. Will definitely use the accommodation again.
MANAGER WAS VERY HOSPITAL.
We paid the same amount as another place the night before and got much better value for money. The broken chair outside on the porch, as well as the bathroom mat lying on the table as if it needed to dry also immediately created a bad impression when we stopped there. The decor and furniture are very old fashioned, it's just not our type of place.
The best guest house I have visited in a long time. Excellent service and accommodation and extremely affordable.
After a long day on the road in the hot Northern Cape was fantastic. The air conditioning was switched on and we slept in a cool room. Everything we needed was there. Even a braai. Very dry everywhere, but the Lodge made up for that.
Very clean, comfortable and friendly service. Marie's braai pack is excellent.
Very neat self-catering unit. I really enjoyed it and felt safe and well rested. I especially enjoyed KykNET.
The unit was clean and tidy. The reception was poor. Had to wait 15 minutes in the bloody sun for someone to come and unlock. After second call we find out the key is under the trash. The location is isolated and the price is high. For that price per night I could have stayed somewhere else where I could walk from my room to the restaurant.
Met all our needs for an overnight stop.
After a long day of travelling the warm welcome and comfortable lodging was like an oasis!
It is a beautiful place, neat. We will use the place again. We recommend the place to anyone. Restful!
Friendly reception at a clean, well-maintained unit. Accommodation is tidy with all the necessary facilities for a good night's rest.
It was a pleasant surprise in the hot and dusty Karoo and we immediately felt at home and washed off the day's dust and rested well for the next day's journey.
Thank you very much for a neat, cosy place! Enjoyed delicious Karoo chops and sausage, and Betsie spoiled us with delicious bread! Will definitely stay there again.
We were kindly received and were surprised to find extremely neat accommodation. The unit is equipped with almost every kitchen utensil imaginable. Quiet environment. Will definitely stay there again.
Neat, clean and hospitable. Can recommend it.
Very friendly welcoming. Facilities were clean and neat. The cereal and milk made available is a very good idea for people who are hungry very early in the morning before departure.
Shower water dripped out and could not use the shower (rest of faucets had no water problem).
Warm and friendly reception, the accommodation was clean and had everything we needed for self catering. Tastes and expectations are different by different guests, but we found a nice place to stay over for the night and can recommend it.
Absolutely fantastic. Best ever. Exceeded our expectations in every aspect. First class. Clean, full facilities, safe, secure parking, high quality beds and mattresses, linen, electric blankets, air conditioning, television, coffee, tea, fresh milk, cereal supplied, fresh linen, personal attention from owner Marie. Very professional and competent. Best accommodation we have ever stayed in. Only place to stay in Carnavon. Highly recommended! I will only stay there when next in the area.
We were not in the Kalahari Lodge but were moved to Ikaya Lodge which belongs to the same owners. We have already been to that particular lodge before and it is absolutely just what every tired traveler needs! Thank you very much Marie Jacobs, great service.
Very cute place, friendly service.
Marie went the extra mile for us. Will definitely stay here again on the way to the Cape.
Nice overnight accommodation, very nice and thank you Cornelia for sorting out of problem so quickly and efficiently, you are a star en definitely an asset.
Thank you for the lovely stay and hospitality.
Wonderful host! Neat rooms with everything you need for a peaceful night! Every room has braai facilities, that's great. The air con was wonderful after a long, hot day on the road! Best overnight place in Carnarvon!
An oasis and refreshment station in an arid region of our country. Clean, neat, convenient with a friendly hostess and the air conditioner is in good working order. Even barbecued some bona fide Karoo lamb chops.
It was very nice and pleasant.
Very helpful in picking us up and showing us the way during Eskom load shedding time. Quick feedback on booking and personal attention. SMS contact with details and contact details. Very nice stay.
After making contact by phone regarding the correct street address, we really enjoyed the stay.
Very friendly welcome. Comfortable units and everything one needs for an overnight facility.
Friendly reception, place is spacious and very tidy with everything you need. We will use it again if we are in that part of the country.
Marie Jacobz is a very friendly person with an awesome guest house. Will recommend for other travellers. They will see us again. Thank for awesome stay, enjoyed it very much. Thanks again.
Neat, clean and cozy in the winter!
We were received very kindly and immediately felt at home. The unit was very well equipped. Very good value for money.
