Hannetjie was the perfect hostess. Ideal overnight stop.
After a lovely holiday in the Kgalagadi we departed from Mata Mata and spent the night at Kalahari Sands to return home the next morning. Best decision ever. Hannetjie prepared the most delicious food for us after a long, hot day. We rested well for our long drive back home.
House is very nice and very comfortable. Everyone loved the porch with the large table and comfortable couch. Spent many hours there. Would definitely recommend Kalahari Sand Guesthouse.

The lady of the guest house was very friendly and helpful. She also gave us dinner, was very nice. Will definitely stay there again.
Unfortunately the unit is right next to Ashkam's only bottle store and on Thursday afternoon/evening (until 8pm) it was noisy there. The second night a lot of heavy trucks came into Ashkam to turn around, spend the night, and/or put in fuel which was a bit disturbing.
A comfortable room but it requires some work and modernization to bring it up to the level of other B&B's in this price range. The general garden area outside room was unkept and showing signs of neglect.

Perfect location for stay over before the Park. Warm welcome, safe parking and large spacious unit with everything you need. The hostess was very welcoming and beds were comfortable.
The roof leaks a lot. One room was dirty. The lady who received us was super friendly.

Being able to get to know Askham through this place of residence was truly fruitful. Apart from the fact that the accommodation itself was lovely with the barbecue area next door, we admired Askham's special collection of succulents when we went for a walk and learned a lot about meerkats by visiting the "sanctuary" down the street.
Kalahari Sands is comfortable, clean, neat and just a pleasant place to sleep. Everything you'd get in a 5 star place, you get here plus a very friendly welcome by the owner himself. I will definitely book there again and recommend it to anyone looking for accommodation in Askham.
The accommodation was very spacious and comfortable and friendly reception.
The steps that give access to the room are a problem for elderly people. The switch for bedroom light is difficult to find.The veranda with chairs is a bonus.
At first we chose a wrong option for the type of accommodation, but upon arrival the hostess immediately offered us an alternative and we were very pleased with what she offered. We relaxed wonderfully and continued our journey the next day.
We were very well received and got a better room than we had requested. No WiFi, but except that everything was perfect.

Well placed, friendly staff, clean and well equipped. We did find the dinner provided by the coffee bar a little expensive. R120 for 2 small pieces of rib and even if there were 3 veggies, we felt a little expensive. The breakfast was good. A nice gesture from Annetjie for the bottle of wine she gave us.

Tasteful guesthouse that is surrounded by red dunes and friendly people. A stone throw from the Kgalagadi. Delicious breakfast place just around the corner. You can't leave there disappointed.
