61 guests' feedbackThank you very much for your hospitality.
Thank you very much Dirk and Helene for a friendly reception and everything is there that is needed in the campsite. Quiet and peaceful after the long drive from JHB and we were able to rest well for the long drive to the West Coast. Will definitely stay with you again.
I was pleasantly surprised. The place was very neat.
No swimming facilities. Swimming pool is at the owner's house and if she has guests it is not possible to swim as we experienced.
Very relaxing place to stay. It is a beautiful environment and friendly people.
Dreadful. I definitely will not stay there again.
Was a bit disappointed. No water during my stay. No one at reception.
I won't even let my servant stay in this old caravan. I did not ask for a caravan, but a self-catering unit. There are ants everywhere. The place is not good for 3 star. Stickers at your best and look at photos from inside the place there is not. The 2-plate stove is a mess, stands on bricks and there is no oven.
Gardens tidy, rooms clean and tidy, safe, reception very friendly and enough hot water.
In nature. Close to your Creator.
The accommodation was well-equipped, neat and clean. I would recommend it any day.
Very peaceful among the grape plantations in Tarentaal thatched house, with abundant birdlife. Unique experience!
Something else. Close to nature. Thatched cottage with air conditioning.
One recommendation - perhaps more comfortable chairs on the verandah and around the dining table. One negative observation - of the 9 overnight accommodations on this trip, Kalahari Water was the most expensive and not the most deserving of the extra cost.
Lovely walks between the vineyards.
Thanks for the hospitality. Really a beautiful place.
It's very beautiful among the vineyards! Swimming pool lovely! Heleen is very friendly and helpful! We felt special! Would definitely recommend!
We did not get the place we paid for, but had a nice stay.
We can really recommend Kalahari Water Holiday Farm. Really friendly people with a very peaceful environment and we will definitely go back again. The lookout point on the hill is definitely worth the climb for the adventurous. The unit was clean and tidy and the air conditioning was more than welcome. We feel that the kitchen utensils could be upgraded a bit (missing eg a simple item like a corkscrew) and that the double bed mattress is much, much too soft.
I got there late at night and they were still very helpful. I also had a flat tire the next morning which they helped me with immediately.
We felt very much at home. It was so nice and quiet and tidy that we extended our time to stay.
The sun is setting when our Valies are actually almost going to bed, but that was part of the breathtaking Northern Cape.
There had been a few minor annoyances. Had to drive to buy matches, flash and tongs, as they were not standard in the cabin's cutlery (even though they were at lodges with a lower rate). When we wanted to make Christmas dinner, almost all the pots leaked. Was a little self conscious about using pool at main house as there was a splash pool set up by our cabins and we were informed of a family gathering at main house. The pool was a selling point with our consideration. Mosquitoes were lolling and we couldn't find repellent anywhere in the whole town. No reception either. At R1000 per night for 4 and as an established place to sleep, expected them to be more prepared, or at least have the articles for sale.
We had such a nice stay with our dogs. Everything is clean and the place is so beautiful. Thank you very much for the welcome and kindness.
Very hospitable people. Made us feel very welcome and put in a lot of effort to make our stay nice. Thank you, Dirk, for your hospitality. Will definitely be back.
Fan in kitchen did not work and there were many flies. Toilet is not working properly. The shower sprays but very sparse.
Definitely not value for money. Will not recommend the place to my friends at all and will also make sure they don't consider the place. Compare the rand value with Tkabies and you will realize how "overpriced", dirty and unsafe the place is.
I recommend Kalahari Water to anyone. Very friendly people.
With our dogs on vacation. Was the ideal place to stay.
The place is clean and tidy and everything works - everything I'm looking for.
Comfortable overnight facility, neat and clean.
Our stay at this place was very nice. Only one downside: we couldn't use the pool because it was occupied. It was disappointing because it was hot and I made an exceptional reservation for the pool facilities.
A plus point was we weren't bitten by the mosquitoes.
Not worth the money to stay there. We arrived at a closed reception. Had to call numbers that wouldn't ring at all. Place not tidy. Not as in photos. Swimming pool not water in etc. Don't refill your coffee etc. on every day. Had four coffees for first morning. Second morning we had to drive to go drink coffee somewhere.
We were travelling through the Northern Cape from Griekwastad to Richtersveld and the Tankwa Karoo and this accommodation just really wasn't on par with the others regarding value for money. Nobody received us, visitors wandered around our cars, one bedroom's window looked into another room. I will not return.
Very nice at the dam with the geese.
Well located for sightseeing.
Had a lovely stay. As soon as you figure out how the hot water taps for the shower works, everything is great.
We were very kindly received, the stay was pleasant but also convenient for the purpose we wanted to see the Upington and Augrabies area. Also the experience of staying on a wine farm was very interesting.
See the stars.
Met the requirements for the purpose we wanted it for.
The Bush Camp is terrible. Not at all fit for human use. We suspect that they want to close or develop the camp. The huts inside looks terrible and the mattresses are septic.
I am very disappointed. Didn't stay over. Had to find alternative accommodation. Not on standard at all. No one met us at reception. The worker only said we had to go through.
No person at reception. Had to call to be checked in. Didn't get the rondavel we booked. Had to move to another one. Very unprofessional.
We were also impressed with Keimoes. It's a cute place, with nice and friendly people. We had a nice stay.
Will stay here again in the future.
See the stars.
Unfortunately our unit was not ready when we got there in the late afternoon, but the owner was very apologetic and quickly had it cleaned and ready.
Unfortunately, we later found that the drain of one of the cottages was blocked and could not be repaired by the workers. It was disruptive in the sense that if one has been traveling all day and wants to crawl in early to a nice shower to continue traveling early, one has little energy and desire to struggle!
Was relatively disappointed because the photos we saw beforehand did not reflect the reality. The unit itself was tidy enough, but no hot water plus a strange, less exciting smell in the unit.
Make sure of dinner. There are no eateries open in the evening. The necessary things are there. Will stay there again for sure.
I would recommend it for an overnight stay. Not for more than one day. A little old and neglected.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Friendly service and wonderful nice people. Delicious hot water, clean linen and very comfortable. Made us feel very much at home.
Our family unfortunately only stayed one night here on the way to Johannesburg. Would have liked to sleep more nights to further explore the area. The house was neat and spacious, with a nice braai area. The pool area should be very popular in the summer. The area offers many options for walking, jogging and mountain biking. I highly recommend Kalahari Water Holiday Farm.
A pleasant and peaceful environment among the vineyards.
Enjoyed our stay. Always felt safe. Caravan park setup is great.
Nice place to visit.
