22 guests' feedbackOur stay of 4 nights was reduced to 3 after an emergency stop in Clanwilliam with a broken car. Ina and Elsie were very accommodating, offering to reschedule our whole booking if we couldn't get the car fixed. We ended up getting another car and checked in the next day. The house is lovely, comfortable, and very peaceful. We only had sheep for company as they wandered past the house. The WiFi was not working, but there was cell signal in the kitchen and outside near the 'boma'. We loved the quiet, and our dog enjoyed the space and running after the wildlife (birds and one hare, I think). I enjoyed mountain biking - there's enough space for a nice 25km loop along the fences and plenty more across the valley. There were a few bugs, so insect repellent is advised, but nothing serious. Nice walking too, although we missed the flowers by a few weeks, it seems. The last 5km of road is a bit sandy and rough in places but probably doable with a normal sedan, but not a low car.

Kamas farm fed our souls. Deafening silence; only an occasional sheep that bleats. Delightful surroundings. Friendly reception by Elise. Spacious farmhouse with everything one needs. The stunning flowers are an absolute bonus. Add the chirping of the many birds to this and it's pure bliss.
Truly a place where one can rest, walk and look at flowers. The sheep ewes with their lambs are a bonus point. Here you can enjoy sunsets and admire all the stars in the sky. The hospitality is phenomenal and I would recommend this properly equipped farmhouse to anyone. Thank you very much.

This is a hidden gem that will be inundated with discussions if discovered. The house is spacious with a breathtaking view all around. The photos cannot do justice to the reality. It is equipped with care, taste and quality. If you need to rest in silence and seclusion and feed your soul on nature and starry sky this is your place. Book longer than you think you want to stay. There is good WiFi reception (but you won't really feel like your city habits). We lacked nothing. Reasonable distance by dirt road, we managed it with a sedan but it is not desirable, drive with something higher.
Neatly restored farmhouse 5km from the main farm site on a working farm. Free WiFi and solar power. Beautiful view and nice walking opportunities. Friendly and helpful hostesses.

The house is tasteful and very well equipped. The silence is wonderful. The brightest stars we've ever seen.
The most beautiful house, deep in the mountains, far from the main road, but absolutely worth it. We were welcomed by 2 wonderful sisters from the Namaqualand. Would definitely recommend and come back to stay longer myself.
Silence for the soul. Friendly, genuine, fantastic stay, a home away from home. Loving people, thank you very much Ina and Elize. You will definitely see us again, really enjoyed the silence and farm life and could sit or lie on the porch and watch the stars, the sunset on the escarpment behind the house has the most beautiful view and we could watch the stars come out. The house is clean and tidy and has everything you need to relax, in the evenings it was nice to hang out around the big table with the barbecue inside. Kamas is truly worth a visit.
Will stay there again and definitely for a long period. Owners are very helpful and hospitable.
Don't be put off by the farm gates. It's an adventure on its own. It was a lovely visit and quite a nice surprise.

Our family was at Kamas Farm this weekend. We took the farm road to Kamas, and our children took turns opening the farm gates. We were warmly received by Elize. dear person The house is so beautiful and very well equipped with everything one could need. The indoor braai and social area wonderful. The scenery is breathtakingly beautiful. The only thing we would change is to stay longer at Kamas Farm next time.
Kamas Farm is a picture-perfect farm with beautiful flowers! The hostess made us feel very welcome.
Something to bear in mind is that the borehole water is brakish, so take your drinking water. We did, so no problem. There is no Eskom power. Their power comes from solar. Use sparingly.
