9 guests' feedbackI had a very nice stay and everything was perfect. Almost too perfect. My wife and I picked up a bacteria due to dirty water that we suspect comes from the hot tub. They use river water that stands in the hot tub until the next guests arrive, which can sometimes take a week. I suspect that the heating plays a role in the growth of bacteria. As I say, everything was 100% perfect until I my wife and my children woke up on Monday morning with a bacterial infection in our glands under our arms. We recently went for the necessary tests to confirm the cause.
As before - excellent. Kam'Bati River Resort is one of the best places to relax. The cleanliness of the place and the friendliness of the staff, especially Percy and Alton, are truly outstanding. I am already planning our next trip to Kam'Bati River Resort.
I am thankful we were in the cabins and not tents. The location of the tents up to the ablution is a problem. Would recommend that people bring battery lights/radios etc. aggregate for loadshedding.
It was somewhat cold during our weekend at Kam'Bati. An electric blanket would have helped a lot. But otherwise it is a very nice environment that will be the ideal place for families with children in the summer.
But the pools are not really safe especially for small kids at the age of 2. If you can maybe install a mini pool for them and their babies I think a lot of parents would love that but other than that I would give the resort a 10/10. The resort is exactly what you see in the pictures. Would go back again anytime.
We had such a great time and wish we could have stayed longer. Our children, 7, 5 and 16 months, really enjoyed running around, playing and exploring. The manager, Alton, is amazing. Quickly solved our lukewarm water problem and kept us informed of other "water news" all the time. The cabin is neat and clean. We will definitely come again, in the summer this time, to use more of the pools.
We will definitely be back again, my son thoroughly enjoyed himself. We will definitely come back and maybe try the Afrikamps. Only negative was the enormous amount of flies from nearby farm which I know is out of their control.
I did tell them the mattress in the main bedroom needed to be replaced as it was old and very uncomfortable. A built-in braai on the patio with a work surface would be something to think about. Floors felt like they needed a proper clean prior to check in. A shelf or cabinet in the bathroom would be helpful.
Nice surroundings, friendly employees, neat units, lots of space.
