Kamma-Otter I has 3 bedrooms. The 1 room has an en-suite bathroom while the other 2 bedrooms share a bathroom. The main bedroom has a double bed, and the remaining 2 bedrooms each have 2 single beds. The lounge has a TV with a full DStv bouquet and a DVD player. The kitchenette contains a fridge, microwave, 2-plate stove and small oven. It also has enough pots, pans and utensils for 6 people. The apartment has a large verandah with a Weber braai, where guests can enjoy the spectacular views of the mountains. The apartment is on the first floor and is accessed by a flight of stairs, therefore is not suitable for wheelchair-bound guests.
Kamma-Otter II has 2 bedrooms. There is a queen-size bed in the main bedroom and 2 single beds in the second bedroom. Both have their own bathrooms, each fitted with a shower, toilet and basin. There is a big lounge that features a TV with the full DSTV bouquet and a well-equipped kitchen fitted with a stove, little oven, refrigerator and freezer. Outside, there is a verandah overlooking a private garden and a braai area. The apartment has secure parking and its own private entrance.
Shared laundry facilities are available on the premises. Bath towels are supplied, but guest should bring their own beach towels.
There is a small shop and restaurant available just around the corner from Kamma-Otter. Hiking trails abound in Nature's Valley, varying from easy 30-minute walks to longer walks of 3 hours. Even though you are submerged in nature, world-class activities and shopping are not too far away. The closest town, Plettenberg Bay, located 30 km from Nature's Valley, has many excellent restaurants and interesting shops. Also close by, is family fun at Birds of Eden, Monkeyland, Jukani and Tsitsikamma Adventures.

21 guests' feedbackWe had the privilege of staying in Kamma Otter for a week. To begin with, Ilse and Francois received us so warmly and were kind enough to share recommendations with us, e.g. Villa Villekula where I experienced probably the best meal of my life. The accommodation is spacious, clean, tidy and has everything you may need - we have e.g. worked virtually most days and experienced no problems. We spent every late afternoon/evening on the porch and cuddled up in front of the TV on colder evenings. The location is perfect - we could just walk to the restaurant and the sea is literally just a few steps away. We did several amazing hikes in the area and canoed for hours on the lake. You are far enough from the noise and bustle but close enough to everything - there is e.g. many good wine farms in the area. Our hearts were very broken when we had to leave, but we will definitely go back and can recommend it to anyone.
A home away from home, every detail thought through and just the most comfortable, inviting space. Perfect for a family. The rooms were impeccable and our hosts were so welcoming and kind. We can't wait to come back.
The unit is well equipped and very comfortable. The communication from the owner is excellent and information provided on arrival helps with points of interest in the area. We experienced a very peaceful time, with the local restaurant, the beach and hiking trails within a short distance from the unit.
Kamma Otter II is nicer inside than Kamma Otter 1. It is a two-bedroom apartment, and it is newer and nicer. I stayed in KO II, and the beds are very comfortable, and the living room is lovely. I have nothing to fault Kamma Otter on, but I personally prefer a house with easy ground-floor access and garden space. The three-bedroom house is not as nice; it is older and less spacious. It had too few double beds for our group, and the kitchen is a little small for a big group. However, it is well-equipped and set up for load shedding.

Everything was perfect, comfortable, clean and well appointed. Will book it again.
The place is very nice and clean, it looks like quality in the units. Beautiful garden, you can hear the sea, and also just 20 steps away from the sea. Tranquil, quiet village, can walk around and explore everywhere, kids walk around freely. Very spacious family units, exactly what large families and / or group of friends need. Will go there again and recommend to other people.

Ilse is an amazing host and the apartment is not only cosy but spacious, clean and with all appliances one can ask for when self-catering. We enjoyed our trip very very much.

Kamma-Otter is a lovely place to stay. The property is very well equipped and has everything you need. We spent Christmas there and could not have asked for anything better.
