We enjoyed our stay at Kandelaars Cottage. It is in a beautiful setting and very peaceful. We enjoyed sitting outside for breakfast in the morning. It would be great if the host provided some tea, coffee and sugar for the first morning. We would stay there again any time.

Kandelaars Cottage is a very nice, clean and well located place to stay. We were there with 5 adults and 2 small children and everyone enjoyed it, especially the search for porcupines every night. We will definitely stay there again if we are in the area again.
The place is out of town, wonderfully peaceful. There was a pile of wood already packed, ready for a fire. A nice welcome package was waiting on the table. Enough sleeping space for everyone and the children were excited about the hot water bags (we were there in winter).
My hubby and I went to the KKNK festival in Oudtshoorn and managed to get this farmhouse for one night's stay. It was absolutely magic. If you want peace and quiet and just to relax this place is fantastic. Never got to meet the owners but they were very helpful via WhatsApp.

Kandelaars Cottages is a beautiful residential house that is typical of the Little Karoo. The house is very neat, very comfortable and very beautiful. It was a wonderful surprise. I can really highly recommend it. There is really nothing to complain about!

Friendly people who really care about those who come to stay there. Visiting the ostrich farm was a bonus and very informative. There is nothing and no one to bother you and if you want to be bothered, Oudtshoorn is only a 7 minute drive away from the house.
We were spoiled with a baked bread, a bottle of wine and delicious marmalade made by the hostess herself. We really appreciated it.

The cottage is very well equipped with even a first aid kit, mosquito repellent, etc. The fresh bread with farm butter and bottle of wine was a lovely welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed hanging out on the farm porch. We would love to visit again, this time with the whole family!
This is one of the most beautiful, cleanest, most delicious places we have ever stayed. It's safe away from the noise, silence and beautiful stars. Kandelaars Cottage stole my heart.
Kandelaars Cottage is beautiful, inside and out! You lack nothing, the owner has thought of everything. Hospitality galore! Freshly baked bread and jam on arrival ─ yum! It is perfectly peaceful. Close enough to Oudtshoorn for dinner, has a 600 ha backyard to explore on foot and there is enough fire wood so you can braai under the perfect African sky every evening. Ideally situated for cycle training with all the passes in the area. We will definitely be back! Thank you!
