The old farmhouse consists of 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. 2 Of the rooms have a double bed, a third room has 2 single beds and the fourth room has a bunk bed. The 2 bathrooms each have a shower. Linen and towels are provided for convenience.
The kitchen is equipped for self-catering with a stove and oven, a fridge, a freezer, cutlery and crockery as well as a dining table. Guests can relax in the lounge which has a TV as well as an indoor braai area. The house also has a sunroom that offers a view of the fruit trees and mountains. Please note Kango Gastehuis is not pet-friendly, due to the sheep on the farm.
Outdoor braai facilities are provided. Wood is sold on the farm.
Guests can bring their bicycles along and traverse the area or simply go for a walk on the farm or in the mountains.

41 guests' feedbackIt is a lovely place to rest. The children played to their heart's content and were able to live out their inner farm life. They could run around everywhere. The house has everything you need and more. Maybe just bring an extra hot water bottle in the winter. We will definitely visit again.

We had a very pleasant, quiet and uninterrupted stay at this gem of a place. Great value for money, far from the main road. Clearly an old farmhouse, with ample space and peace and quiet. The birdlife is awesome here and we got to experience rain on our stay, so we made use of the indoor braai/fireplace to make dinner. Definitely worth it for a night's stay on your way to your next destination.

This was already our third visit to Kango Guest House, and we did not regret it. Blissful tranquility in a large house with everything we needed to feel comfortable and at home. We will definitely come again!

It was absolute soul food there between the mountains, and Farmhouse was stylishly furnished (good taste). Nice indoor braai for the winter. My wife enjoyed the winter sun in the sun room. We will visit again anytime, but during spring, because then it will be a new experience. I miss the bleating of the sheep this morning.
This spacious and tidy guest house was a huge treat for a week's break from the city. One is surrounded by nature and farm activities and the little mobile phone signal was an extra bonus! The house is nicely furnished and extra treats such as biscuits, sweet cookies and coffee make you feel even more at home. The indoor barbecue is especially pleasant with the cooler weather at this time of year.
The farmer and his family went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and well looked after during our lovely stay in this characterful farm house on a working fruit farm. We especially appreciated the luxurious linen and bath sheets. The 40 km trip to Montagu takes you through the breath-taking Keisie Valley. Worthwhile stay with loads of stunning photos to remind us of a time spent well.
Even though the house is situated on a working farm, it is very relaxed. A fantastic house for the family to relax and spend the evenings watching the stars. The most hospitable and welcoming guesthouse I’ve stayed at.

If you want to get away from work stress, city noise and normal routine, Kango Guesthouse is the place for you. We appreciated and enjoyed the tranquillity and scenery. Took very nice photos of the orchards and sheep. Thank you to Engela for the rusks and cookies. The getaway was lovely.
We had a very nice stay. The peaceful environment really allowed us to break away (as well as having very little to no signal). We thoroughly enjoyed just lazing around and enjoying our time away from the hustle and bustle of the normal everyday life.
The short stretch of dirt road one has to drive is of excellent quality and we could easily reach the house with a Corolla. Furthermore, the house is beautifully furnished and renovated. The bathrooms look better than my own bathroom at home! Kango is equipped with every imaginable thing: From a 2-point plug, to milk, tongs and toilet paper, it's all there. The aunt also baked us some delicious bread. The owners are very nice people and I can highly recommend this guest house. It is also in a quiet area. Now and then one hears a farm worker or a sheep in the distance, otherwise it is dead silent. We rested wonderfully and enjoyed the quiet Karoo atmosphere.

I travelled alone and to my surprise I had the whole house to myself. The house is historical (the farmer grew up there). It's neat, clean and fully equipped. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Really good value for money.
Engela gave us a warm welcome and showed us through the house. We were surprised at the delicious freshly baked bread, biscuits and rusks. Place had a cosy layout with everything needed, even fresh milk. We were able to have a braai inside or outside, and stare at the beautiful night sky. We could walk around on the farm and wake up to the farm sounds. Definitely one of the best guesthouses I've been to.

People really have to experience the peace of the Kango. The rooms were very neat, the beds were good to sleep in. Bathrooms and kitchen were very neat and the extras that were available was very much appreciated. Would definitely go there again and already informed my friends of this nice place.
