We were a group of 4 traveling from Pretoria to the West Coast with a 3m trailer. It was lovely to hang out in this little oasis after a stressful day of driving. Lovely green grass on which we relaxed with a beer in hand. There are also birdhouses that make the garden even more cosy. The rooms were clean and the air conditioning was welcome. I will definitely stay here again!

It is located halfway between Gauteng and the Cape, and at least well located and convenient to break up the route.
We were welcomed very kindly and our 3-year-old daughter really enjoyed the garden, play area and birds in the cages. The rooms we stayed in were neat and well-equipped for a comfortable overnight stay.

Efforts are made to offer a cheap accommodation with taste and pleasantness. Many travelers sometimes have to rely on the cheaper accommodation, which can sometimes go badly wrong. Here is a reliable, neat and clean place I can offer for those flat-wallet times.

We had a little trouble finding the place. Also the bell rang but there was no one to open it. Had to call first. Everything was neat and clean. Slept well. Except for a dog that barked a lot. Other than that, everything was calm. Thank you very much for allowing us to spend the night there.

We stayed in Karee Guesthouse twice in December 2016/January 2017. Perfect for an overnight stay between Cape Town and Johannesburg. We will come again if we're travelling in that area in the future. There is a nice guesthouse with a restaurant where you can have a bite right across the street. Christine is friendly and helpful. The room was impeccable. Enough parking.

An oasis after a long day on the road Warm reception, and something to nibble on at cafe just across the road, and we could get some good rest.
It was my first visit to Hopetown and the reception at Karee Guest House was extremely friendly and helpful. The room is very well equipped and tidy. The bathroom was immaculate and the front porch was a lovely bonus. I would stay there again anytime.

We were pleasantly surprised with the place. So nice clean and tidy. The bed was incredibly nice and comfortable. It was a peaceful area and not noisy at all. We had a damn good meal at the restaurant just up the street. All that was bad was the little space for parking at Karee. We will definitely stay here again.

On arrival it was as if they didn't expect us. There was a different unit assigned to us than what we originally booked and seeing as how our unit wasn't ready. The unit we were put in didn't even have pillows on the single bed and we had to give our son some of those on the double bed. There was also only 2 towels even though we were 3 people. It was also very noisy by the café across the road.
After a long day's drive from Hermanus on route to Pretoria it was so relaxing to spend the night in Karee Guest House, Hopetown. The room was exceptionally tidy and clean, the bed was warm and comfortable and everything that we required was available. The reception was warm and friendly and the stay and departure were without any hassles. I will definitely return there again.
The place is located in the town and not difficult to find with the directions. The gate was closed and we had a little trouble getting an answer on the phone. Once that was successful the rest was simple. Very comfortable bedroom with double bed and single bed. This was a bonus because our daughter decided to ride along after I had already booked. The additional person was then no problem and for only R100 extra she could also spend the night there at short notice.
Fantastic guest house! Rooms are more than clean and tidy. Everything needed for someone staying the night. Parking safe and no noise. I can really recommend it to future travelers. The long way home was just shorter.
