Hospitality and safe.
Lots of hospitality with a delicious dinner.
The owner's wife served us a delicious home cooked meal for dinner. Before dinner we could enjoy a drink in the pub of the Inn. Load capacity was no problem; the generator did its job. After dinner we sat outside under the incredible starry sky. We could enjoy a nice hot bath and a lovely night's rest under a mosquito net. Friendly, hospitable service.

Nice old Karoo hotel with large rooms, wooden floors and a nice old fashioned feel. It could do with a little extra care (eg in the bathrooms) but was still a good place to stay on our long trip.

Fun vintage Inn run by the most friendly couple who still fed us even though we arrived later than expected. The accommodation is old-school but in a way that makes you want to photograph the place. Safe parking behind a locked gate and close to the highway.
The owner is a formidable lady with an incredible amount of knowledge to share. Would definitely stay there again!

Vosburg is a beautiful clean small town. Hotel reminds of the hotels in Cowboy movies. Old hotel with wooden floors, spotless linen, very tidy rooms. Floors that creak when you walk on them may bother some people. People very hospitable. Dinner was delicious. Had fun walking around and admiring houses. If you are looking for silence, you are in the right place. Would recommend anytime.
We arrived there as strangers and left as friends. Yes, there is still a lot of work to be done before the hotel is restored to its full glory, but the place is clean and tidy. Pottie and Winnie are very hospitable and we had a nice chat. Against all odds, Winnie provided a delicious dinner and breakfast.
I have always had a love relationship with Karoo Country Inn as the first time I slept there was when I was i11years old, I am 57 now. The last time we were there was in 2019 December. It was fantastic and we enjoyed it very much. This time, everything was excellent again except the state of the bathroom. It was in working order, but the bath and basin was very stained.
Stayed here on a road trip through the Northern Cape and visited old family villages of my wife - good and friendly service and hospitable people - would definitely stay there again.
We had a great stay and the food was delicious. A mirror above the sink in the bathroom would have been convenient. So is a chair in the room. Tables or bedside tables next to the bed, around a magazine etc. to put up at night will also be convenient. However, the place was clean and tidy and we had a great time.
The small town's tranquility makes it a lovely stopover for the long road.
The owners were very friendly and helpful. Room could be better furnished, e.g. there is no mirror in the bathroom and no bedside table. The breakfast was very nice, but the dinner was simple.

Welcome to the seventies. When was the last time you stayed in a hotel where you could watch TV in the TV Lounge or sit down to dinner in the dining room? The old hotel is a wonderful building that Winnie and Pottie took under their wing. Everything cracks as it should. Will definitely stay there again.

The sleeping accommodation is very basic, but enough for an overnight stay. A neat and clean place and the guests are pleasant and hospitable. It's the only place that serves dinner in town and that's why the food was exorbitantly expensive.
The uncle and aunt are dear! Makes you feel welcome immediately. We ate and slept very well! Will definitely visit again.

Owners are very hospitable. Hotel is very old and is nicely fixed. It's a bit expensive compared to what you get at other places. They can pay attention to small details such as soap in the bathroom and maybe a small fridge in the room. Perfect if you just want to sleep over and they make an effort with safe parking.

Our host and hostess Pottie and Winnie treated us like family. We didn't want to leave! The hotel is neat and although they are still in the process of restoration, it does not detract from the service and cleanliness and hospitality. They put a lot of effort into us because my husband couldn't climb stairs up and down and served our dinner in the upstairs lounge. Thank you for the wonderful stay. We are coming again!
We have now been on the road for 16 days and this overnight stay was one of our highlights. Pottie and Winnie become friends right there. The rooms were very clean, tidy and very large. We met some of the residents and had a nice time with them. Winnie's dinner and breakfast were top notch. Thank you very much, see you again soon.
We had a very nice stay here. We were spoiled with a delicious steak dinner and delicious breakfast before we had to hit the road again. The Inn has a lot of character with old wooden floors and rooms are neat and clean. Will stay there again!

The old hotel is slowly getting a new jacket. It's an experience to be able to skip to the old days. The rooms are neat and clean. Please try support the rural businesses, they keep these buildings that are part of our history alive.
